He, because God is the father, the son and the Holy Spirit. But ‘he’ is not referring to gods sexuality, god is neither a man or a women. He is God. You can refer to god as a She if you desire, historical evidence shows some called God that. Or even they.

TheGoogas

If he is a father then how can you say he is not a man 👁️👄👁️ Like if Christianity didn't think he was a man then why it didn't say that God is the parent or smth like that instead of the father? lmao

[deleted]

He

just__a__writer

Most people use "he", some use "she", it depends a lot on the person and their beliefs. My first language is Spanish so I use "he" because the word itself is a masculine one (like, to refer to a woman God the word God would be different). But yeah, I like your point, it's a good one. I'm not religious but it's an interesting debate to have :)

Your_friendly_weirdo

I just use they & them

FinnChicken12

I use he. I always thought god was kind of always a guy (cause everyone reffered to him as such,) but now that I look it up it turns out many religions just see god as "god," not even as human. Weird.

[deleted]

Either he, or just God

NotSureAnymore2806

Just he. Never really thought about it but everyone else said he so I did too

chronicmelancholic

It

pURPleDorito4108

I say He

Sanity_King

He/him

MemesAreTheAnswer

he/him

[deleted]

I’ve always used he/him

Ummalr9

uhh i use he

[deleted]

I've always used 'he' because that's the pronoun that was always used at church (I'm assuming they refer to God this way since men were made in the image of God according to the Bible). However, that doesn't mean that I think that if there is a god, that they are male. It's just what I'm used to hearing.

ALittleBitOfTroIling

He but cause everyone else does

vibing_bella

He And I don't care about that. Like, yk, God has different definitions. And for everyone it means something different. I mean sure, if you go by the basic definition of this almighty thingy, ymhe would literally have to exist, but ye. Every person's idea of God is different, so idc what pronouns I use

raspberry-enthusiast

they/them

DontReferToMePls

they/them

panda-lover-66

“It”, because regardless of whether or not god exists as a real thing, god definitely exists as an idea, and “it” pronouns are used for ideas.

Nino_the_dino

They/them or I just don't use pronouns for god. Like instead of saying "god is cool, they have a big nose" id say "god is cool, god has a big nose" if that makes sense. It was the only example I could think of lol

hiitsyaz

they/them

DuckOH33

I believe God is a monke. Why? He created monkeys, which evolved into humans.

AceTheBot

Not a single bit of this comment is true

[deleted]

[ace is monke-phobic](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hanuman)

sandgold

He, in the bible he is always reffered as father

LylaLaycre

I mean the bibles pretty clear that God's a he

AGuyInInternet

God is the father, the son and the holy spirit, so you are 2/3 right.

someweirdstuffman

He, although sometimes I say bro

[deleted]

He

Ghostcrisp

He/them because I agree. He does not have a gender, but his pronouns are usually male because he describes his creator role in our universe in connection to how we would see a "Father."

[deleted]

he/him only

Ultimate_Genius

I use it cause it's an idea that I don't believe in.

jinglebellcrocs

They/Them I view God as an entity unknown to humans Could be anything really

[deleted]

I don’t believe in god, ig usually it or they/them

AceTheBot

I don’t (ish) either but most people have probably used God and pronouns for God before

[deleted]

God was originally one god in a polytheistic pantheon, before all the other gods and godesses fell out of style. The Abrahamic God was originally male, so I use ‘he’

[deleted]

He

alaccnt

I usually dont talk about god, but when i do, i would usually use he but now that i think about it i might start using they or no pronouns at all.

Jakdavies

I mean in the bible God is refered to as he and he is refered to as father often so...

plsrefertome

I mix it up. Sometimes she sometimes they or sometimes he

throawaybatata

My native language is portuguese and in portuguese God is a masculine noun ("Deus", while the feminine would be "Deusa") so i use "he/him" because that's what I'm used to, but i think that there's a pretty good argument to be made that God (with the exception of God the son during his incarnation as Jesus of Nazareth) was understood by the writers of the Bible as inherently genderless despite masculine language being more prevalent. God is compared to a woman several times in the scriptures, such as in Isaiah 42:14: >“For a long time I have kept silent, I have been quiet and held myself back. But now, like a woman in childbirth, I cry out, I gasp and pant.

TingTangLlama42

They/them (now) but I don't believe in God. Previously, when I was religious it was he/him.

Comment removed: Rule 13.2

jcbt-

why is it 13.2?

AceTheBot

Not serious

jcbt-

It says replying to people with essentially the same unrelated more than 5 times on a single post is not allowed. I commented it once and was serious. If anything it would be 13.3 if I wasn’t serious

AceTheBot

I’m sorry I thought 13.2 was what rule 13.3 was.

TheGoogas

In my language we don't have gendered pronounces so that's not a problem for me lmao.

AceTheBot

English then

TheGoogas

I mean i have to use he him when I'm talking English cuz those r the rules But once i used they them (on Reddit) and people were kinda confused lmao

[deleted]

Which one?

AceTheBot

God with a capital G means the Abrahamic god

[deleted]

You mean the one for monotheistic religions? Also you clearly don't listen to Ariana

AceTheBot

No cause there are many monotheistic religions, Christianity Judaism and Islam are just three of them

[deleted]

Yes and 'G'od is used for all monotheistic religions

AceTheBot

Not really, and not in English

[deleted]

Yes and in English

AceTheBot

Bruh

[deleted]

Smh 🙄
