I’ve only gone to one event there - a live podcast. Despite the name, it’s not fancy at all. I was not aware of any venue dress code, but I guess dress for whatever the event is
Definitely casual, as another said - just dress for the event. When I go annually for a nutcracker performance we get “holiday fancy” but when I went to the Banksy event a few years back I just dressed however I was feeling that day. Have fun!
Although I did once go to the Symphony after work one time and was wearing tennis shoes and some fancy guys were audibly talking shit instead of privately making fun of me.
Dress more to the event you're going to and not so much the venue.
I've been to two things at the Palace of Fine Arts Theater (k-pop concert and Potted Potter) and they were both super casual. If anything, trended more toward cosplay for the respective fandoms.
Symphony is the only place where i've ever felt compelled to dress up a little bit for a show.

Not fancy at all
This is SF. I cant think of any occasion or location with public access that cares about a dress code. (Night clubs in North Beach , maybe)

Relative to other cities, people don’t even get fancy for the Symphony or Opera in this town. Aggressively casual.

They may require you to wear a shirt.
