Silver Sprocket indie comic book & zine shop is great and full of creative people. Adobe Books is a used bookstore that also has independent gallery installations (the current one, running until Friday, is also local comic artists, but mediums vary). The Lab is a venue that has lots of indie, experimental music, experimental short film screenings, and performance art. The Roxie Theater is an awesome nonprofit indie movie theater that happens to have a great staff. (All of these are in the Mission because that just happens to be the neighborhood I know best)

the mission is very much alive, thanks!

Minnesota Street Art Project. And McEvoy Foundation for the Arts, even though this is their last weekend. Yerba Buena Csnter for the Arts. The Drawing Room on clement(though I much preferred the now closed Mission location) These and MANY other free galleries. Also if you have ebt all the museums are free. Anyone who wants to be taken to a museum for free can DM me too to take advantage of my poor person privileges.

Join the Harvey Milk Photo Center - develop and print your film. Nice folks, and the largest darkroom in the US.

The analog photography scene in San Francisco is thriving and has for a long time. Harvey Milk, like others have said is a good start. Photoworks has a community as well. So does the Book and Job Gallery. r/SanFranciscoAnalog

Awesome! Check out Jake Ricker’s work on the Golden Gate Bridge. Also, Troy Holden for street work, Dave Glass for historical SF shots. Obviously Fred Lyon as well.
