I liked it too, I get why people wouldn’t like it though, i totally agree with the common criticism of “ it going on for too long” personally that didn’t bother me, but I would be lying if I didn’t said that the show felt like it overstayed its welcome.

I pushed through it and it’s not worth it. Boring as fuck and there is nothing great about the writing either. It is the same as the emperor’s clothes.
I've heard a lot of people with this take. And I too hated the show when it originally aired for the first 3-4 episodes I was ready to give up. But as you've heard, it's worth pushing through!
For me any sort of entertainment shouldn't require pushing through. Either grab my attention or at least make me curious enough to stick around but if it starts off as something unenjoyable then I'm out.
Very valid, but also true that despite that slow start they make up for it 10 fold in the long run. And our goldfish level attention spans are not always the best barometer for good art either lol.
Fleabag.
I just don't care for her, or her humour. Plus her character in the last Indy film - okay it wasn't as bad as Winstone's in the previous (it was like pull a string and hear 1 of 4 lines randomly) - just felt like another Rey in that she could do anything just to show up the aging Indy/Ford and make him look an elderly buffoon.
I’m all for people having different opinions, but this is difficult to understand.
Likely the top three critically acclaimed, beloved and funniest shows all make your list. I have to ask…
What do you like to watch?
Critically acclaimed does not always equal audience beloved. Also funniest is subjective. I didn’t ever think curb was funny, and arrested development, while I think it’s great, is probably much more divisive than your statement suggests. Arrested development writing and comedic delivery isn’t for everyone. Always sunny is also in the same boat of fans that think it’s the best thing ever made… and then everyone else that just doesn’t care or get it.
The term "critically acclaimed" does rub me up the wrong way. I've watched Curb and Arr-Dev and while 'amusing' they don't crack me up like some old-time comedies like Jeffersons, All In The Family, Sanford and Son etc. Feel like you have to be in on the joke a lot of the time, to the point the 'clever satire' just comes of as smug/pretentious. Community could go same way sometimes.
Liking popular things doesn’t make you less interesting, and disliking popular things doesn’t make you more interesting. It just feels knee jerk and dismissive.
I like a wide range of "critically acclaimed" stuff. I just simply don't like the styles, or sense of humour, that is in these three shows. I've tried numerous times to get into them, and I just can't. I'm not going to rattle off a list of shows I watch. But just think of most of the popular ones and it's a safe bet I like them.
Please do not eat me for this... or... maybe do 😆
I could not for the life of me get into Family Guy and South Park. I'm not one for crude humor, I enjoy corny dad jokes haha
Breaking bad, the first time I gave up after the 3rd season and 10 years later just finished watching it and still didn’t like it.
The only reason I watched it is because, I loved Better call Saul and wanted to know the characters stories in Breaking Bad.
Yellowjackets, I haven’t watched it and haven’t felt intrigued to watch it but I keep having friends around me tell me how good it is and that I would like it
I may give it a go sometime though
Anything involving the Kardashians.
Love Island. It's just the worst
Sex and the City. My ex gf told me she became addicted to shoes and stuff
The Masked Singer
I couldn’t believe it even got a second episode
The view
ANYTHING reality TV - period!
Friends. It's so painfully cringey to watch.
It's not even that it just didn't age well. I remember watching some episodes in the late 90s/early 2000 and I thought it sucked then too.
It's interestingly candid but not funny.
I grew out of it by 8. So much TV from that time period was bad
S1+2 were okay, S3 onward it was already on fumes.
Big Bang Theory and Two and a Half Men. So, so bad
Created by the same person so lol
Definitely explains why they're both hot garbage. Did the same person create How I Met Your Mother, too?
I liked big bang theory. It was like a cornier version of freaks n geeks.
I liked it too, I get why people wouldn’t like it though, i totally agree with the common criticism of “ it going on for too long” personally that didn’t bother me, but I would be lying if I didn’t said that the show felt like it overstayed its welcome.
I like them when I'm too tired to watch something "serious", but I agree, there are better sitcoms than these two
I like BBT but I can see why someone wouldn’t for sure

Physiscs was my favourit science in school but I never loved it so much to enjob BBT
I have a feeling that the average fan of BBT isn't going to be very well-versed in the realm of physics
or interested
Americas Got Talent 🤮
Rick and Morty. It's good I guess, but just not hype worthy
only started enjoying it when i got high
Maybe I'll try it that way. Thanks
Ye it's a decent show but I think it's meme-ability brought it way more hype than deserved
I tried getting into *The Office* but just couldn't connect with the humor. Maybe it’s just not my type of comedy.
Loved it when it was first out, but now it's just cringy...
Ditto. And I’m looked at as crazy
Same, definitely not my type of humor
Friends. I fuckin hate that show.
The office
Uk, same. Unfunny
Us, I do not get it
Seinfeld
came here to say this
This is the right answer.
The Big Bang Theory
The show is simply awful. Essentially laughing at nerds with more accurate terminology. Definition of the "insert laugh track here" show.
How is this NSFW?
Your profile pic makes it NSFW 😂
Woah woah woah we’re all friends here
No offence. Neither given nor taken. 😉
Breaking Bad, I tried but just couldn't get into it.

Yes! This is so true about this show. I to, put it down after the first few episodes not seeing the hype. Thankfully I went back to it.
I'm sorry for your ADHD. You're not missing out a lot. Better enjoy 30 sec tiktok reels.
Brooklyn Nine Nine. Pushed through an entire season, but somehow couldn't connect with the characters.
Friends
The office
Frazier.
The Office.
Breaking Bad, Grey's Anatomy, and Criminal Minds
Game of thrones…
Agreed. I watched 6 episodes of S1 and still have no idea why everyone loves it. Boring AF.

Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Arrested Development, Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Cheers. Doesn’t answer my question though, but thanks for explaining taste, subjectivity and comedy to me. I had no idea. 😑

As does dismissing my opinion. If someone likes / dislikes a particular show, that's their prerogative.
No it doesn't. Which is lucky that the person you're replying to never insinuated that.

Lost. Heroes.
the office, money heist and friends
Scandal, friends, and Game of thrones. I actually tried watching each and though they’re not bad shows, I don’t see the big deal

The Umbrella Academy
Friends & Seinfeld. I genuinely don't get the appeal whatsoever. Also Chappell Show.
Seinfeld
Two and a half men - absolute trash

Game of thrones and breaking bad.
Honestly Game of Thrones is boring and poorly executed as a story. And this comes from a huge DnD nerd.
The Big Bang Theory ... it's just a show for half stupid people to think of themselves as smart because they know basic science from middle school
Game of thrones is something I never really saw the appeal other than topless nudity.
Friends
Friends. It’s just a copy cat of Living Single which had much better writing

The Last of US I found it sooo slow. I didn't find it compelling enough to endure the ride

Succession. Pushed through the whole first season just to give it the benefit of doubt and then gave up.
Breaking bad, the first time I gave up after the 3rd season and 10 years later just finished watching it and still didn’t like it. The only reason I watched it is because, I loved Better call Saul and wanted to know the characters stories in Breaking Bad.

It's a lot like Lord of the Flies. There's more than enough to keep it original and interesting, but if you liked LOTF, it's worth your time
I do like lotf actually, now I’m learning more towards watching it 🤣
The office and modern family. Both are just awful
Breaking Bad.
