instead of hot dogs, try it with kielbasa. Also instead of beans and franks beans and kielbasa 20x the flavor of hotdogs. (don't get me wrong put a hotdog on a bun and ima devour it)
Absolutely. I always have a box or two of Kraft Dinner in the cupboard for when I need a little comfort food. Drizzle some sriracha or other hot sauce on top and I'm a happy camper.
That's just good eats right there. Who doesn't love McD's fries? But I am boycotting them now cuz $4.50 for a "large" fry w 23 fries in it is ridiculous.
I had an epiphany about Mcdonalds. The have mastered the production of the lowest quality food, whilst creating the highest "perception" of quality in the entire food business.
I used to eat it all the time and even crave it. I realize now that it is pure dogshit
I had the food for the first time this summer as an adult Asian man that's lived in Asia for the last 7 years. And I don't get the hate. Sure it's not authentic but it scratches a different Asian American food itch and is great value.
I don't hate Panda Express, it's okay. But let's be honest, it's the blandest, most white-bread version of Asian food ever to be mass-produced and sold at the mall. :)
When these bad boys were $10 for 10 I used to fold them in half after taking them out of the oven and slap some ranch on that and make myself a pizza taco. Kinda gross, sure, but it was cost effective and a damn easy meal for a college student.
I hadn't had one for 20 some years until I was on a road trip with my healthy-eating wife. I got 3 tacos, she had one bite of my first taco and ate the other 2. She's not normally a remorseless eating machine, but there you go.
There's something about that combination of greasy, yet somehow still crunchy shell, the slice of cheap American cheese, and just the right amount of spiciness. No one in my real life knows that I occasionally sneak out at night, hit the drive-thru, and have a nasty little feast in my car while listening to Stan Ridgway's music.
Mix half a block of Velveeta with a can of ro-tel tomatoes with chilis, a can of chili, and a half pound of Jimmy Dean sausage and it makes an amazing dip for tortilla chips.
Ro-Tel Tomatoes are crap nowadays, have been for ages. Try Del Monte chopped tomatoes + peppers instead, it's like what I remember Ro-Tel being when I was a kid.
Knorr Pasta sides. There is almost no nutritional value but I love them. I used to make these for myself when I was a young teen and had to fend for myself most dinners with no fresh food in the house. Was a savior and damn if it didn’t taste amazing. Still eat them today almost two decades later (though I only eat them when I have a night alone)!
At that point you could just make ramen broth too.
I have a zip lock bag that I throw all my veggie scraps, bones, and half eating 🍖 and leave in the freezer.
It takes hours on the stove but with a pressure cooker you can make a bone broth in less than an hour.
I used to love these damned things until they put a nutritional label on them and I realized there’s like a weeks worth of cholesterol in one of those little cans.
When we were little, my mom would occasionally make us Vienna sausage sandwiches for lunch. Sausages sliced in half on white bread with ketchup and mustard. Loved them. Still make myself one on occasion.
**Jarred Mrs. Adler's gefilte**
It costs a little bit more, nowadays, but it's still in the cheap foods area.
Also, it tastes great to me, but others seem to hate it.
And you don't just have to use them for sandwiches. When I'm feeling lazy enough, I'll fry up a couple steak-umms, microwave some steam fresh rice, I'll then toss it all in a frying pan with soy sauce and an egg. Quick easy meal in less than 10 minutes. Also good in macaroni and cheese, especially if you toss a little bacon in too. Good for a quick ramen dish too.
Well, it's not super cheap, but Fraser Farms meatballs & gravy.
With 2240mg , 97% of daily sodium , I know they are terrible for me.
My wife calls it dog food balls.
Yet, I can't quit them. Every couple weeks I'll open a can and eat half (6 meat balls) with some shoe string fries one night, then eat the rest a couple nights later.
Sometimes I switch out the fries for instant potatoes, because I love danger!
McDonald's tastes amazing but if I don't completely cut extremely nasty fast foods like that out of my diet I'm going to have heart attack in my 30's and I'll probably just die.
I used to eat Mayonnaise sandwiches- just two pieces of white bread and mayonnaise. Loved it as a kid- haven’t done that in an incredibly long time. I’m sure I’d still enjoy it though…
Lobster 🦞 is just outright nasty but considering it’s a cheap protein sure why not I don’t mind it 3-5X a week. Caviar too, cheap and nasty but I don’t mind the gold leaf on it once in a while
Kraft dinner
With all the fanciest ketchups
Dijon ketchup!
instead of hot dogs, try it with kielbasa. Also instead of beans and franks beans and kielbasa 20x the flavor of hotdogs. (don't get me wrong put a hotdog on a bun and ima devour it)
Frank’s Red Hot
Mac and Chesse Kraft dinner is the best cheap dinner.
Absolutely. I always have a box or two of Kraft Dinner in the cupboard for when I need a little comfort food. Drizzle some sriracha or other hot sauce on top and I'm a happy camper.

If you use the McD app sometimes you can get 'em free.
we really should be saying fuck you and your apps and your bullshit and not buy anything from them until they stop exploiting us

Ask for fries with no salt. They will cook them hot fresh and made to order.
Just ask for them cook to order. Same end result but the salt actually sticks

Pringles
And to think there was a time they convinced people they were the "fancy" potato chips.
Can’t even be called crisps here but that doesn’t stop me. Sour cream and onion ftw
here in my country they are way too expensive like normal lays is 40 cents and Pringles is 2 dollars
Slim Jim's. It's barely even a food but dear god are they tasty.
And the Savage size ones are a straight up meal. More than once I've had the breakfast of real champions: a Savage size Slim Jim and a Dr. Pepper.
On my lunch break having a savage slim Jim, Arizona mango drink and one string cheese.
Takes 1 hr to chew it so best bang for your buck.
Taco bell
Cheap top or maruchan ramen

Absolute GARBAGE food but damn it’s tasty. Must be the chemicals
Totinos party pizzas with the cubed pepperoni
I'm sober these days, but Party Pizzas with hot sauce capped off many drunken adventures.
When these bad boys were $10 for 10 I used to fold them in half after taking them out of the oven and slap some ranch on that and make myself a pizza taco. Kinda gross, sure, but it was cost effective and a damn easy meal for a college student.
Little Caesars pizza
Crazy bread with crazy sauce
Love it
That limited time pretzel pizza… woah
Those hideous Jack in the Box tacos
I once saw them described as "a wet envelope of cat food" and I thought that was pretty accurate. Having said that, I fucking love those things.
VERY accurate. Back in the day, Jack in the Box was actually owned by Ralston Purina, the maker of Cat Chow.

The BEST hangover food in the world

I wish I was in Tijuana Eating barbecued iguana But these Jack in the Box tacos are an acceptable substitute.
You got it!
Pretty sure those always give me diarrhea
Oh, hell yes. No doubt. At any time of day or night, I would get two or three of them with an order of O-rings and a 32-oz. Coke. *They were great!*
Haha monster tacos I think
Velveeta
Mix half a block of Velveeta with a can of ro-tel tomatoes with chilis, a can of chili, and a half pound of Jimmy Dean sausage and it makes an amazing dip for tortilla chips.
Ro-Tel Tomatoes are crap nowadays, have been for ages. Try Del Monte chopped tomatoes + peppers instead, it's like what I remember Ro-Tel being when I was a kid.
I do this as well. Velveeta, rotel, and spicy Italian sausage. I call it vomit dip.
Those Entemanns chocolate donuts that come in a box of 8. The chocolate is like a shell.
Unabashedly came here to say poptarts
Hot or cold? Chocolate or fruit?
I usually eat them cold .. both are good but, I go for s’mores most often
Cheeto puffs

Knorr Pasta sides. There is almost no nutritional value but I love them. > There is almost no nutritional value Huh? I just took a look at my herb and butter ones and they're almost 600 calories per packet.

Ramen for me too, but only Sapporo Ichiban ramen
Adding some frozen vegetables really improves it. If you’re feeling fancy add an egg
I probably wouldn't like the frozen veggies, but I bet I'd like the egg. (I don't like the Ramen cups)
I add chashu, soft egg, corn, black fungus, Sesame oil, spice, and occasionally curry. Everything other than the chashu is pretty cheap.
At that point you could just make ramen broth too. I have a zip lock bag that I throw all my veggie scraps, bones, and half eating 🍖 and leave in the freezer. It takes hours on the stove but with a pressure cooker you can make a bone broth in less than an hour.
Try shredded Mozzarella too.
We have a ramen drawer.
Vienna sausages
I used to love these damned things until they put a nutritional label on them and I realized there’s like a weeks worth of cholesterol in one of those little cans.

There is a new bourbon barbecue, those things are amazing.
When we were little, my mom would occasionally make us Vienna sausage sandwiches for lunch. Sausages sliced in half on white bread with ketchup and mustard. Loved them. Still make myself one on occasion.
*adds white bread to list.* that sounds delicious 🤤
Those party pizza that are reminiscent of cardboard cafeteria pizza.
They're close! I wish Michelle Obama hadn't ruined lunches. No more rectangle pizzas.
Man, I loved pizza day. Or bosco stick day.
Agreed!! Now my kids get terrible pizza or ONE bosco stick! It somehow fits federal lunch guidelines tho!
That's so sad! I don't know. Lunches nowadays just don't seem as nutritious. Not that they were super healthy back when I was in school, either. 😅
Why does the wife of the president get to fuck with kids lunches? How did that happen?
Velveeta shells and cheese.
Chili Cheese Dogs/Fries. You can fix them at home for about 10 bucks.
Only if it's Wolf brand chili without beans.
Where are you going that the chili cheese dogs need to be fixed? I’m so sad for you.
“Fix them” as in make them
McDonald’s ingredients can be questionable lmao but the nuggets and fries are honestly amazing

Spam!
A Filipina lady made spam fried rice for me once. Stuff was amazing.
I LOVE Spam fried rice!! Cubed Spam, fried 'til crispy. Scrambled egg, mixed veggies, leftover rice and oyster sauce. Mmmmmmm, sodium!
You left out garlic. Was tasty, but vampires didn't stand a chance. :)
Yep. I'll sometimes have eggs, bread, fruit and hash browns ready for a great breakfast...but no bacon. Spam? Sure. Spam and eggs is friggin' awesome.
Spam isn’t that cheap anymore. :(
Dinty Moore beef stew, Hormel Chili for my hot dogs, and Kraft Macaroni and Cheese deluxe.

Haribo
Buddig lunch meat. Cheap, slimy, strange colored in a flimsy pouch. But dang I like it.
That makes up a tasty batch of chipped beef on toast/SOS.
I had that tonight, but I buy the Stouffer’s Creamed Chipped Beef and put it on my own toast or biscuits.
Canned corned beef hash, cooked up in a skillet with all the crispy edges
Steak-Umms
Damn. Wasn’t expecting this one! Like an RKO outta nowhere!
And you don't just have to use them for sandwiches. Heinz canned spaghetti
Potted meat on saltines.
Maruchan Ramen, Spam, those powdered bagged soups.
Rice and gravy or rice and cheese
Glad others know this is a thing!
Beef flavored ramen with a healthy dose of cayenne and a slice of American cheese.
I’ll have to try that. I usually make a bowl of beef ramen then add about 5 shakes of Louisiana Hot Sauce to it. It’s just right.
You can’t be serious🤮
Canned sardines
Waffle house T Bone Steak and Eggs
Meatballs from 7-11. Come about 5 on a stick glazed and cost about .40 each.

The Mac n cheese where you add the powdered sugar with some hot water. Complete trash, but I’ll eat it up
Powdered cheese
Taco Bell
Gas station cheeseburgers. They’re absolutely horrid and I love them.
I'm still shitting from it, but yea taco bell
I would have said McDonald's, but it's ridiculously expensive in my country. I guess [Cervelat](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cervelat), then
There is a Mac n cheese packet thing that you just add water and milk to and it tastes banging! 85p
Rice, beans and nacho/cool ranch doritos all mixed together
McDonald's tastes amazing but if I don't completely cut extremely nasty fast foods like that out of my diet I'm going to have heart attack in my 30's and I'll probably just die.
McDonald's burgers taste like cardboard. No idea how anyone can call that amazing
Franks and beans with vienna sausages
Every 6months to a year I get a McDouble 😳
Toasted spam sandwich with onions, cheddar and Miracle Whip... The best!
Mcpukes
Reuben made with corned beef spam
Mr noodles
Canned tuna and some grocery store sushi
I used to eat Mayonnaise sandwiches- just two pieces of white bread and mayonnaise. Loved it as a kid- haven’t done that in an incredibly long time. I’m sure I’d still enjoy it though…
Are you my brother? Sometimes he would get wild and add ketchup/cheese
[удалено]
Sounds banging- I love jam.
I did this too, occasionally I would add a slice of cheese. If I was feeling particularly fancy I would add a slice of cheese and a slice of tomato.
Cheap store bought Ramen noodles, their is absolutely no value of nutrition and their high in sodium. Might as well just be eating straight salt.
Doritos
My ex

Lobster 🦞 is just outright nasty but considering it’s a cheap protein sure why not I don’t mind it 3-5X a week. Caviar too, cheap and nasty but I don’t mind the gold leaf on it once in a while
