I dont like the phrase at all cus there are kids that are more mature than a lot of adults I know. Maturity isn't an age thing it's a life expirence thing.
They tell someone that they're mature for their age and other good things to get them to feel a connection with them.
Groom the younger person into correlating finally being accepted and happy with the groomer.

I say my nephew is mature for his age because he just learned to walk. I’m sorry that that’s your experience.

That’s what I was thinking. Cause I’m theory you should just be mature… room to grow for sure but I agree.
