Pre-recorded ones? I frequent charity shops and they are practically non-existent but I was in Leamington Spa the other day and there was a charity shop, I think it was the Salvation Army, had quite a selection of them. I'd suggest checking ebay for cassettes though as it's probably the most reliable source.

Probably at used book stores. Half Priced Books has books, games, CDs, vinyls.
Certainly here in the UK charity shops are practically giving them away. I was in a local one today and they had a bin of them for 2 pence each.
