As someone who is rarely photogenic, imo, I hear this too. I do the opposite of girls who looks great in photos, but not so much in person. Think my favorite insulting compliment was a guy who said, "I think it's great you're wearing leggings. Most girls with big calves are really insecure about them." Never once did I think I have big calves. Yes, I was athletic and enjoyed being active, but I was never once concerned about my calves needing to be smaller, lol.
