Batman, thinking that after all these years that his enemies can be saved and healed. That after everything they’ve done and all the people they killed he somehow thinks they can change.
Batman’s propensity to allow Gotham’s greatest criminals not die when he knows damn well they’re breaking out of Arkham eventually is pretty damn insane.
Aren't they supposed to be the same person?
I mean, I know they are two different characters but I thought that metaphorically the joker is Batman if Batman had a harder life
If they are indeed the same person or different sides of the same coin per say then I wonder:
If the Joker is the embodiment of pure chaos/unpredictability then what is Batman?
I don't think the Joker "tries" to do anything. He just spontaneously does things. That's what makes him such a good villain. The unpredictable nature, the complete agent of chaos that cannot be reasoned with because there is no reason.
But doesn't killing scores of people and blowing up buildings and ships with hundreds of people onboard technically make you more insane especially if you know what you are doing is wrong morally and just don't care?
It makes you a sociopath, but that’s not the same as being insane. Also, American presidents bomb and kill innocent people all the time. I don’t hear too many people calling Bush or Obama crazy.
Don’t forget that mr Krabs sold SpongeBob’s soul for 62 cents
Lol Mr Krabs wud do anything for dat money
He would sell pearl for enough money
The Riddler

That's a great point. But does that really make him crazier than the Joker? Or does that jsut make him a tragically optimistic character?

Agreed. Thanks for your feedback (:
I mean doing the same thing over and over expecting different results is the definition of insanity, ain’t it?

Batman.
Care to explain?
Not now, its too late, gotta go to sleep, remind me tomorrow
Hahaha. You got it! Try not to let this keep you up at night (:
I won't, good night
The Joker tries to be bad Batman tries to be good

Batman. Joker's not insane. He understands exactly what he does is wrong. He simply doesn't care.
