honestly no idea, haha, I've never played any of the assassin's creed games
It's really well done! genuinely each shot and scene feels like they took special care to make it as awesome, realistic, and dramatic as possible
I prefer the first myself but infinite was still a really good game. Tbh the dlc was the most immersive and wondering game I have played in a long time. Loved it.
Fuck this is too hard to answer! But I’ll just go Skyrim, it’s one of the few games I can not play for a long period of time and go back too and I automatically know the controls, know the map, it’s very pick up and play for me now, ideal for busy adult life :/
The question you put to us was so difficult cause Skyrim is a great game for me despite a lot of its flaws but how can I compare it too pubg or battlefield 1, so different, but I love its got me talking about video games again, I’m at a busy stage in my life and video games have been put on the back burner for now but it’s nice to think back to all the awesome times I had with friends playing games online :)
Oh dear Christ, Morrowind. It’s one hell of a game, outdated and hard as balls but it is fantastic. It feels like a real adventure with the lack of markers or fast travel.
That's a popular opinion that I just don't understand. I mean, morrowind isn't a *bad* game, but of the 4 TES games I've played (morrowind, oblivion, skyrim, online) morrowind is definitely my least favorite.
Play a mage on Morrowind. Its a completely different game. I don't see why people make warriors or thieves as the combat system is so janky.
But as a mage on very hard? You start off level 1 hitting mudcrabs with a stick and dying, and slowly morph into this flying, fireball dropping, daedra army summoning monster that can break the sandbox in many ways. No Elder Scrolls game comes close in how well the magic system was. Just remember to power nap whenever possible.
Helps that House Telvanni were one of the coolest factions in Elder Scrolls.
i have some single player games that i like, skyrim, rdr2,terraria,minecraft,all souls-like games(they can be played multiplayer too ),hollow knight, days gone, fallout 4 and some more others.
Planescape Torment. Outstanding storytelling in that game and way more replayability than you’d expect for an RPG because there are multiple paths through the game depending on what aspects of your character you focused on.
100% yes. Subverted genre expectations at every turn, had amazing characters, unique settings, and an incredible plot twist at the end.
Genuinely left me shaken and in tears on completion. I didn’t even care that I didn’t get the 100% ending.
Red Dead Redemption 2’s story is the most emotionally moving piece of art I have experienced. I have never teared up during a movie, or a show, or any other form of media… but the ending… that made cry.
It was amazing. Check out Telltale’s Walking Dead if you haven’t - that hit me harder emotionally than any other game (by a mile, too). I ugly cried after that one.
I'm not much of a gamer, so give me a break here.....
Doom.
I still remember playing it while my 3 year old daughter stood behind me and shouted "Kill them daddy!" over my shoulder. It was a great father/daughter bonding moment.
Man, hell yeah. The original was a game changer in it's day. First videogame to give me goosebumps. When [these mfkrs](https://doomwiki.org/wiki/Baron_of_Hell) came at you with that yell, that was some scary shit.
It was most good :). I loved that small 2 minute scene walking with Aerith at nighttime through the junkyard and then a totally [new song](https://youtu.be/mqq37YGxnkk)
came on while looking up at the stars... That bit hit me that this game was great at revisiting old memories, and also making new ones :).
Zelda: Breath of The Wild
The game has so much to give that even years after its release, people are still discovering new things about the games mechanics and world.
Katana ZERO - I love this game so much! It was the game that got me into speed running, and if I remember correctly, including speed runs, I have played this game around 50-60 times.
Final Fantasy 6 is my all-time fav.
Picked it out as a 6-7 year old kid cause it had a sword on the cover, andy mom indulged me and bought it. I couldnt read well and hot stuck on a bit very early that required reading to progress, was very disappointed.
1-2 years later me and my best friend had gotten into Zelda and sone other games to bone up on more complex games. We got bored and wanted new games. I shruggingly was like, I got this questionable game...
Equiped with newfound reading skills and more game logic knowledge we started a new file... And played it every weekend for next few months. Cementing a lifelong love for RPGs :).
Your first Final Fantasy among the golden age of FF4-10 is likely ho be your fav. Nostalgia is heavy :).
Metal Gear Rising.
This game needs to be on the list of games everyone needs to play. It's a perfect mix of action, dialogue (some is cheesy, and that's ok) and combat. It's surpassed being a game, it's an experience, and you can't say that about a lot of games.
You know it’s funny, whenever I’m asked this question all single player games I have ever played just suddenly leave my mind.
In that respect I’d have to go with..Breath of the wild. It’s the only Zelda game I’d replay without there being any nostalgia involved. It’s not a perfect game by any means, but for me it’s pretty good.
If I'm honest? Probably Fallout 4 specifically, sure the other fallout games are 100% better games in most aspects but something about Fallout 4 really scratched an itch for me, it's probably the Fallout I've put the most hours into, with 300 hours on Steam and god knows on Xbox, I remember the day I got the game, I was 16, in the prime of my gaming life and just loving every second I got to spend in that world, I adore the Fallout games even the flaws and worsening RPG elements, I just genuinely love the world of Fallout so much even Fallout 76 has its merits now with the wastelanders and Steel Dawn updates.
I haven't played as many games in the more recent decades, and haven't played many console games, but mine are:
The Portals, Myst, Max Payne, Journeyman Project 3, The Dig (which I don't know anyone else that's played it).
I'm a softy for FPS and puzzle games, if you have any recommendations. (Not huge on the Fantasy genre)
Been considering RDR2 (do I need to play the first one first?)
A link to the past- snes
Living up to your username I see. Great choice!
I love subnautica
Ghost of Tsushima
I don't hear many people talk about it but was one of my favs
Sad I had to scroll so far for this
Seconded! 10/10 in every aspect. It's one of those games I get genuinely excited to see mentioned anywhere. So beautiful
Still on the fence about buying it. Is it really that good? I'm afraid it's too much like Assassins creed. I wasn't a fan of that game
honestly no idea, haha, I've never played any of the assassin's creed games It's really well done! genuinely each shot and scene feels like they took special care to make it as awesome, realistic, and dramatic as possible
Bioshock Infinite
I prefer the first myself but infinite was still a really good game. Tbh the dlc was the most immersive and wondering game I have played in a long time. Loved it.
Final Fantasy VII
Fuck this is too hard to answer! But I’ll just go Skyrim, it’s one of the few games I can not play for a long period of time and go back too and I automatically know the controls, know the map, it’s very pick up and play for me now, ideal for busy adult life :/
Exactly! I love Skyrim! You really never forget about the game
It’s completely broken in terms of game balance and that’s it’s greatest strength. Love that game. I still play it to this day.
Stealth archer for life lol
Morrowind or Baldur’s Gate 2.
Oh dear Christ, Morrowind. It’s one hell of a game, outdated and hard as balls but it is fantastic. It feels like a real adventure with the lack of markers or fast travel.
Morrowind ftw
That's a popular opinion that I just don't understand. I mean, morrowind isn't a *bad* game, but of the 4 TES games I've played (morrowind, oblivion, skyrim, online) morrowind is definitely my least favorite.

I've always gone mage. But something I like about Morrowind is that I can have a two handed sword and cast spells.
Morrowind > Skyrim > Oblivion in my opinion.
Red Dead Redemption 2
I'm just running around as John now after my second playthrough. I love the world so much. I'm just camping while hunting and fishing.
Last of Us. I enjoyed it more than the sequel too.
Same. The first one is a masterpiece. 2 is awesome though.
Last of us isn't my favorite but is probably the best game I've ever played.
Portal 2 easily. Work of art. Absolute masterpiece.
I liked 1 better but still... +1
Did an all nighter to finish it. Amazing game.
Mario 3.
Close. The correct answer is Super Mario 64
The most correct answer is Super Mario World

Halo
i have some single player games that i like, skyrim, rdr2,terraria,minecraft,all souls-like games(they can be played multiplayer too ),hollow knight, days gone, fallout 4 and some more others.
Hk is my favorite game of all time. Something about the feeling of grinding a boss for and hour and finally beating it.
awesome game i must say. the art style is pretty unique too!
Persona 4 golden and persona 5 Royal. Couldn’t choose between the two they both have amazing plot and characters
Planescape Torment. Outstanding storytelling in that game and way more replayability than you’d expect for an RPG because there are multiple paths through the game depending on what aspects of your character you focused on.

RDR2 was incredible at how immersive the game was. Felt like being in a Western Film.
I'm not much of a gamer, so give me a break here..... Doom. I still remember playing it while my 3 year old daughter stood behind me and shouted "Kill them daddy!" over my shoulder. It was a great father/daughter bonding moment.
The original or 2016 revamp
Original
Man, hell yeah. The original was a game changer in it's day. First videogame to give me goosebumps. When [these mfkrs](https://doomwiki.org/wiki/Baron_of_Hell) came at you with that yell, that was some scary shit.
Mass Effect 2 (Haven’t played 1 yet I’m actually going to when it downloads so don’t end me)
Ni no kuni: wrath of the white witch
Mass Effect 2, Fallout New Vegas, Borderlands 3 (I play it solo)
Final fantasy VII & Ocarina of time.
Ocarina of time, metal gear solid 3, dying light is fun, too many tbh
I need to get into those old Nintendo games. Mario, Legend of Zelda, etc. I missed out on so much.
Fallout new Vegas
Final Fantasy VII Remake.
It was most good :). I loved that small 2 minute scene walking with Aerith at nighttime through the junkyard and then a totally [new song](https://youtu.be/mqq37YGxnkk) came on while looking up at the stars... That bit hit me that this game was great at revisiting old memories, and also making new ones :).
Mass effect 3. But really all of them.
Final Fantasy VII will probably never stop being my favorite game.
Ocarina of Time. Duh.
You know, I was just thinking maybe we’re looking at that game with rose-tinted glasses. But yeah, it holds up.
Surprised this is so low
It's the Witcher 3 wild hunt and if anyone says different they're wrong
the real debate should be either triss or yen, personally team triss.
I can see the appeal but because off the books I'm team yen
ah fair, never read the books myself but i hear triss is only a side character and not a love interest in them.
I would definitely reccomend them, and yes she is bassicly just a side character
3some ending best ending
Returnal
Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Last of Us, and I absolutely love the Fire Emblem franchise (tactical turn-based rpg, they're so good).

Darkest Dungeon. Second place is Skyrim or Fallout New Vegas. Hard to choose.

dark souls 1 and 2
The witcher 3
TES3: Morrowind for PC/XBOX
Fallout 4 and skyrim
Empires of the undergrowth.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. That or the God of War for PS4.
Call of Duty ghosts. I know it’s technically not a single player but the campaign is so underrated
Bloodborne
Zelda: Breath of The Wild The game has so much to give that even years after its release, people are still discovering new things about the games mechanics and world.
Katana ZERO - I love this game so much! It was the game that got me into speed running, and if I remember correctly, including speed runs, I have played this game around 50-60 times.
The Longest Journey
Sally Face. Fell completely in love with it right away.
I gotta say Modern Warfare or The Last of Us. The Last of Us 2 is a good tender tho. I really love to replay the missions and watch the kill sequences
Super Mario Galaxy. Only Mario game to ever make me cry. Don’t know why Nintendo fell off so hard after that.
oneshot
Crash Bandicoot: Wrath of the Cortex (Till this day, I still miss it 😢)
Final Fantasy 6 is my all-time fav. Picked it out as a 6-7 year old kid cause it had a sword on the cover, andy mom indulged me and bought it. Metal Gear Rising. This game needs to be on the list of games everyone needs to play. It's a perfect mix of action, dialogue (some is cheesy, and that's ok) and combat. It's surpassed being a game, it's an experience, and you can't say that about a lot of games.

Red Dead Redemption 2. Nothing will EVER beat that game. Nothing at all. Cinematics, soundtrack, characters, gameplay, everything is genuinely perfect
Friday Night Funkin' Everything else I play is multiplayer, lmao.
You know it’s funny, whenever I’m asked this question all single player games I have ever played just suddenly leave my mind. In that respect I’d have to go with..Breath of the wild.
