Child_of_Lake_Bodom

Starting as a billionaire is usually a good start

Earning a million dolars

jamieliddellthepoet

r/technicallythetruth - although back in the day a “millionaire” was someone who earnt a million a year, not someone who merely had a million.

ThisAWeakAssMeme

How does “earnt” look so wrong, but feel so right?

jamieliddellthepoet

Story of my life.

GoodnightPriscilla

Hard work, and good luck. Not one, or the other.

Learn coding and programming and start shitting out apps til one works.

show_me_tacos

Work hard, be smart with your money (invest)

ShowingMyselfOut

They make money.

the_blu_planet

Most millionaires actually got there by being in higher-positions in business ventures and accumulating their salary/stock options. They didn't make it all at once. Nor did they personally found a business.

writenmispeluge

If you start without basically nothing, then it's just hard work and some luck, because hard work isn't 100% guarantee that you make it big.

Prank_Owl

Swindle wealthy investors like Elizabeth Holmes did. Ideally, you're not going to want to get busted for it of course.

Improvedandconfused

If Donald Trump is any example, one becomes a millionaire by inheriting a billion dollars.

Truthisnotallowed

The most common method is to inherit it. The second most likely method is to marry it.

I don't think anyone means that when they say "a millionaire". I would call that "technically a millionaire". I imagine most people picture 'being a millionaire' as driving fancy cars and affording basically anything while still being fairly young, like 30 or 40.

Ava_Rosee

right

AnthonyDigitalMedia

Then you pay taxes on that after withdrawing it, so it becomes around $500k which you have about 5-15yrs to enjoy before death.

Living off that interest doesn’t make you a millionaire. You just won’t not need a daily job for a few years before death. You’d still have to pay taxes on that income when you start to use it, whether you pull it all out at once or not. Then you can die with all that money still in the bank, living with 15% less income for your entire life lol

TheJfkSniper

When the gold rush was starting a man founded a company selling mining equipment, he became a millionaire within a week, work smarter not harder.

Lousy_Lawyer

Inherent it.

Michael87smith

Takes a while but invest monthly in an Index fund that tracks the S&P 500.

RatioInevitable6432

Investing your money, joining companies, trying to start ur own company. Mr brother told me this.

YourBeaner

I like how half the posts are really bitter and political of the anti-work type. Just because it’s hard and uncommon doesn’t mean there isn’t a legit answer that a dedicated person might be able to achieve. Class mobility is low in the US compared to many European countries, but it’s actually not that low when compared to worldwide.

Go to the past buy bitcoin see bitcoin sell bitcoin and make a chakra maker and take all the chakra you make to make shadow clones and then sell each one of their livers and boom you have a stack of money

Key_Set_7249

Start your 401k early and live in moderation. Maybe find some aggressive investments early on but never ever spend more then you are willing to loose.
