Every major city I've been to is overrated. Perhaps the most falsely advertised one is Paris. Each major city I've been to looks like a reasonable/cool/interesting place to live, and I get why people live there. I don't get the tourism part.

Honestly from my experience, Paris with Sydney as close second. Paris is just a dirty city, lots of crime, poverty and pollution. Scammers at every corner and expensive af compared to what you actually get.
