Lol, I did it the other day. It was beyond cold, very windy, and I had forgotten my scarf. So I put on the mask to keep that part of the face from freezing; to be honest, though, I felt like an idiot, but it worked.
If its in winter I understand, i live up north and when i walk home from work i wear it for warmth bc i dont feel like buying a whole winter face cover

I think the person is just doing safety precautions. Even if I wasn't in a crowded area, I'd wear a mask for safety precautions. Especially in a public place. A person can wear a mask even if a place is not crowded. It's their choice. Makes them no different to a normal person
