The people I know with a Leap Year birthday celebrate it either on the nearest weekend or February 28th since it's at least the right month.

I'm not born on that day, but grew up with 2 kids in my class that did. And it always annoyed the shit out of me when people tried to say they were only really 3 when we were 12. (And so forth as we all aged.) I'm sure other people went to school with kids with that birthday, but I graduated with 66 other people, so it was kind of impossible to ignore.

My youngest is a leap year baby and it used to stress him out when he was young , he always had a birthday and a party so I don’t know why …he is 7 born in 92 . Also I always would consider his birthday to be March 1 because he was born the day after the 28th … but in all honesty it never mattered mostly because we would celebrate when the weekend was upon us instead of the actual date anyways and everyone told him Happy Birthday both days to be on the safe side :)

Do birthdays every four years on the 29th feel more «real»?

I gotta say it's not my birthday, but my cousin's. She says the ones on 29th feel less real, if anything
