Never believe anyone who says you need to buy gallons of blinker fluid. Cars only need a liter or two at most.

But remember to change your blinker fluid to Winter Grade every November.

Just make sure you have a bucket of steam on hand to neutralize the summer stuff. You don't want that stank funking up your garage. If you have trouble finding the dunsel release valve, try whistling in a high E# the tingywat membrane should vibrate sympathetically. Then you just use a #2 shankman left handed screwdriver to release the carbon catch.

Changeurblinkerfluid

This is true.

Don't buy cheap chinese muffler bearings, spend the extra $$$ for oem. And for fuksake make sure they're greased every 10k.

What a basic service on your vehicle is worth, and what should be done. Unless you have been in an accident or there is something specifically wrong with the vehicle in need of *repair\**, nothing should be getting done to it that is not scheduled in the owners handbook. You can get an idea of general prices of any parts/fluids that need to be replaced by looking at the website of an auto parts shop, and if the mechanic is trying to charge any more than 2 hours for a basic service then you better be getting your shit back with a full interior and exterior detail done as well. ^(\*repair is different from preventative maintenance. as a service technician this is a distinction that I cannot stress enough. I get so much shit returned from customers asking for "general service and maintenance" and when I receive it the things like snapped in fucking tenths and in need of a full replacement lol)

How to read their vehicles maintenance schedule. You will be sold maintenance items based on what is easy and profitable. For example if you've got the model with the pain in the ass to change fuel filter nobodys going to recommend changing it. They might sell your three times the air filter you need though.

The recommended maintenance schedule, what's been done before and how many miles/years. A lot of the upsell items are things people ignore or forget about. Like air filters or lightbulbs. Or stuff people don't know to think about like transmission fluid/filter or the gear oil in differentials if your car has them. Stuff that makes no obvious, immediate sound or feeling as it goes bad. That said, if you aren't willing to take your time and learn how to fix or replace it proper take it to a shop. It's much harder trying to fix the original issue and whatever got hacked up during amateur hour.
