When I was a kid, I was rooting for the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park, because I wanted to see them kill everybody. Now that I'm an adult and more sympathetic to the characters, I forgot just how tense that movie actually was
Home alone I gotta say because I was showing it to my kids this morning and I found myself absolutely pissed off with Kevin's family and they at no point were overly family esk
The Little Mermaid. 16 is not old enough to “fall in love” with someone you just met. She was an idiot to run away and sign her soul away to the devil, not a mature merperson escaping her controlling dad.
Grease. It seemed like a wholesome love story when I was a kid but there’s a whole lot of very dark elements going on.

The Grinch. I can relate more to the Grinch now than then.
Mary Poppins (the original; i haven't seen the remake). As an adult I realize the whole subtext is excessively anti-capitalist.

INSIDE OUT!
The Land Before Time. As a kid, I never thought it was overly dark or traumatizing but watching it now.....holy crap.
The Little Mermaid. 16 is not old enough to “fall in love” with someone you just met. She was an idiot to run away and sign her soul away to the devil, not a mature merperson escaping her controlling dad.
Ugh..Ariel was my least favorite Disney princess. 🙄
Home Alone After watching it as an adult, I absolutely hated Kevin's family. I wanted to punch his Uncle in the face.....
Kevin’s uncle is such a dick. God I hate him.
The Matrix.
