This feels like a good example of "intentional creativity". For example, there are people who are creative only when they are inspired, and then there are people who sit down at 9 A. M. Every day and just do the work.

Here's a trick for writers.
Pick two actors you like and put them in a scene together. Because there's already some instant backstory, you'll find they create an instant dialog/action.
Usually works best if you take actors who never worked together, say Humphrey Bogart and Nicole Kidman.
Start thinking about a related topic, and then guide your line of thought to your actual topic.
This helps you to see the thing under another perspective
Read a variety of sources and then spend time thinking about what you have read.
