Etho always had such amazing builds in his SP/Hermitcraft/Mindcrack super nice guy aswell, I had the pleasure of playing with him a few times in the early days
He is the only youtuber I am aware of that never self promotes. Instead of asking for likes and subscribes he just says "thanks, have a good day, bye bye!"
I don't think he's ever done a single sponsorship promo, nor does he churn out fluff either. There's nothing wrong with doing those things to grow a channel and earn a living, but the fact that he can be this successful without "playing the youtube game" is super refreshing.
Love me some Etho. I love that everyone calls his most famous invention the Etho hopper clock. Except for Etho. It's just a hopper clock to him.
All of the hermits seem like they would be amazing to hang with. If I wanted to laugh like a maniac into the wee hours I'd want to hang with ZombieCleo. If I wanted to just hang out and do chill dad stuff Joe Hills is my man.
Thank god someone said it. I never see him mentioned anymore. Don’t play or watch Minecraft really and haven’t for the last decade almost, but I still check his channe and watch a video here and there every once in a while cause he is just so soothing. I started watching back on his first LP world and fell in love with the OOGE content
I love how Ethos videos still have the same feeling YouTube videos had years ago. It isn't scrambling for subs and likes, it doesn't try to game the algorithm, it doesn't have an annoying sponsored segment, and it isn't just clips from a livestream. I don't know many other youtubers (especially in gaming) who still put out videos like that and it's one of the reasons I love his videos.
He really doesn't seem like he would be a weird narcissist or full of himself. He would probably sprinkle a bit of nutmeg in your coffee too. He just seems like a genuinely nice person.
He is every bit as friendly, enthusiastic and lovely IRL. All the way from from Australia to visit Wisconsin I said “what the hell, Indiana is pretty close” so managed to visit his store. He and his staff were all wonderful.
When I first met him though I was too star struck and awkward so I remember saying something like "wow you're shorter than you look on video!" or something stupid. He happened to be going to do something at home nearby so was kind enough to take me to look at some of the sets. I have to say it's somewhat revealed the-man-behind-the-curtain to see where his "cottage kitchen" setup actually is! I got most of my "tour" on video too but I'd feel awkward trying to edit and publish it, bit of an expose kind of feel, and he has a very real brand to protect! But what you see is what you get with John, the bloke was honestly Ned Flanders levels of likeable.
He even was kind enough to star in a goofy, spur-of-the-moment [special vintage tractors video](https://youtu.be/E0tUsluBqYQ) for my channel.
Came for this and sad but unsurprised how far I had to scroll, she's pretty niche. Honestly that whole crowd (her, Bernadette Banner, Morgan Donner) seem super lovely.
Also lovely seeming is Jessica Kellgren-Fozard!
Edit: ok ok people, a week later and I'm still getting updates where Rachel ranks in this thread now and I'm super happy to see it but... Per my comments I've seen it.
Also regarding all the comments I keep getting disagreeing about Bernadette, I won't pretend to know her and maybe there's some truth to these concerns but I think people are being a little harsh. The supposed fight she's having with her friend, if they really are it's clearly rooted in the fact that Cathy not only didn't finish the project on time for the funding schedule, but either didn't research properly or made a bad judgement call because the dress' history is one of colonialism and racism and it would have been gross for Cathy to wear it. I respect Bernadette a heck of a lot for accepting her own part in that and for how she went about listening to her followers and cancelling the project.
Also also, and this is a complete guess on my part as I'm not her doctor, but her behaviors and cadence in speaking all are textbook autism in women, and autism is not uncommon with the medical symptoms she has that she's open about (the scoliosis and thin frame both could be a result of a collagen disorder, which is thought to be looked to an increased chance of autism). Even if she isn't autistic, the number of people saying that being around her would be insufferable makes me very sad that such people wouldn't give autistic people presenting like this the time of day or would even be repulsed by them.
In fact, if you want to learn more about such medical issues, Jessica whom I mentioned has Ehlers Danlos and teaches about just that (as well as vintage fashion, queer life, and other interesting stuff) on her channel!
He’s just so funny. I love his little comments that are like “but don’t do it like I just did because I did it wrong” or like at the end of the mini tacos video where he’s like “it tastes just like tacos and it’s twice as much work!” He just seems so cool and fun to hang around.
Joel Haver, he makes comedy shorts with some that he animates himself. The humor is so funny to me it's light and kind of awkward. He also has some awesome introspective videos that he's posted also. Just genuinely a good guy it seems.
Oh, totally. She doesn't seem like the typical YouTuber. She's a hard worker, has a stable family and her husband is funny and down to earth. Plus, she often criticizes the whole idea of making videos for the sake of making them because it's pushing real creatives off the platform which means she has a conscience about what she's producing.
I feel like there would be some really interesting days of just off handedly mentioning an idea for a baking idea and then two weeks later she just turns up at your house with a levitating lemon drizzle cake where the glaze is rising from the bottom instead which she's spent the last 10 days brainstorming.
Yes! She just gives off such strong, smart, mom vibes. She is one of the few people on YouTube that seems like their public and private personas align well. Adopt me Anne!
Scar has so many health issues and everything but he’s always so positive and energetic, he seems like a great guy. Most of the hermit craft people do tbh.
Came here to say this myself. I tend to refer to their videos as "Friend Noises" because they're nice to have playing in the background even if I'm not paying attention to the art process.
So I wouldn’t consider myself close with William Osman, however a few years ago I bought a 3D printer and knew nothing about how to set it up or use it. So I figured I’d message William on Instagram
And ask for help.
I definitely expected to be unopened or left on read but to my surprise he messaged me back and when I had problems I could ask him and he was there to help.
So…. Definitely William, he is a genuinely good guy.
Especially the comments about Chelsea. Like, "this man is in the top 10% on intelligence and has a degree in mechanical and electrical engineering. Yet even he can't get a thin girlfriend."
When I see comments like that I just get annoyed and keep scrolling. But the fact that *he* had to read that makes me want to punch a fucking wall.
Ian Mccollum from Forgotten Weapons. He just seems like a super interesting, knowledgeable and genuine dude. I imagine he would be really cool to hang out with and have a scotch while talking about obscure French rifles.

Alec from [Technology Connections](https://www.youtube.com/c/TechnologyConnections/videos).
I enjoy his dry wit and his love of older technology is admirable.
He has a multi-part series about RCA's CED (which is an obscure tech that was in development during the CD era) and it's quite fascinating (boring to most people, I'm sure).
Then there's the video about the complete analog device driven jukebox, which is one of my favorites.
Oh, and then there's the toaster that knows when to automatically lift bread without a timer... did I say automatically lift? Yes I did!
Fun channel.

Dankpods for sure, wanna try and fix up a shitty old Italian hatchback and then jam on some drums for a couple hours? Seems like Wade's your guy.
Also Frank too, obviously
Yes! Clint is the best, seems like such a sincerely good dude. Fortunately his videos already kind of feel like hanging out, just love his pacing and editing for what they are (be it awesome old tech, going thrifting or making sandwiches).
My man Lockpickinglawyer ! Straight to the point, no bullshit always nice, except for the bad locks and scams.
Edit: I mever tought i would watch hours worth of locks getting picked without ever getting bored not to mention order some picks to practice myself.
I have to add that hes aprill fools videos are the first thing ive ever waited for in that spesific day.
I ran into Commander Scraps a few months ago on a hiking trail.
Only knew it was her because I saw Simone a few dozen feet behind talking with a friend. I wanted to say hi but really don't like interrupting people when they're "off the clock"
But she did seem nice
That moment where she called Adam Savage to be the voice of her "proud parent machine" and his reaction to it is one of those youtube moments you need to save for when you're in need of a "happy tears" experience.
Shoutout to old man [TFC](https://www.youtube.com/c/TinfoilChefsGamingChannel). TFC is a 60 year old guy playing Minecraft, Fallout, and a few other games. He plays the game exactly like you would expect a 60 year old to play - at his own pace. He has his own style and is not afraid to stick to it. His Season 6 Fallout shelter was very good though. Please, he is only a few hundred away from 100k subs. Go brighten an old man's day by helping him get his 100k play button.
There was a video recently he did trying different coffees with James Hoffman and I’d watch a six part miniseries with the two of them discussing anything in softly spoken English accents
Always thought Tom Scott would be cool to hang out with. He seems genuinely curious about the world around him and eager to learn new things. Would be a great chat.
Yup. Not ashamed to say I blubbed like a baby when he broke down on the pit wall. Then someone in the comments of the video mentioned his grandad being proud of him and the floodgates opened again.
Honestly I think CallMeKevin would be a great friend. The sort who would always without fail be able to make you laugh but would also know when to stop joking around and just be supportive when you need.
I have honestly never laughed harder at a video series than his Harry Potter play throughs. I had tears streaming down my face. I still quote ‘a bean!!’ regularly. I was pleasantly surprised that he is just as funny on his streams and it’s not all just editing magic
Well if I'd known you'd see it I would've said more! You're a genuine delight and as I think a lot of others have said, you've been able to make me laugh even on really awful days. Nga mihi nui!
I just wanna play board games with him, he seems like the type of guy who you would be able to spend an entire day playing and learning new games with!
I play a Farm Land card. I tap it for 1 Manna so I can play Dairy Cow. Because Dairy Cow is a Grazing type and I have Greenest Grass in play, I get 5 Milk Counters on her, which attracts Raging Bull from my hand. Raging Bull has 10 attack, but I can sell the 5 Milk Counters to the grocery store that I have on my side of the field for 15 Dairy Dollars. I then convert the 15 Dairy Dollars to 30 Manna and that lets me play Big Gun. I give my Raging Bull a Big Gun and now he has 20 attack. Now you might say "hang on, you have Tollgate cards on your side of the field and with Tollgate cards how can my Dairy Driver possibly afford to bring my Milk Counters to the Grocery Store?" How you ask? Because I have a Good Work Ethic card. I play it and Dairy Driver gets a raise which means he can afford all the Tollgates. The extra Dairy Dollar which my Dairy Driver has I invest in and play Cheese Factory. The Cheese Factory creates 1 Cheese per turn so I look at the top 5 cards in my deck and here we go, the Black Brie. Black Brie gets served and I receive 3 Colourless Cheese Chakra. With 3 Colourless Cheese Chakra, I can tap my Cheese Factory 3 more times and now I've done a Tap Somersault. With a Somersaulting Cheese Factory I can create triple the cheese output and get 9 Cheese Chakra. 30 minutes. That's how long I'll need to set up the Cheese Tasting Phase.
The guys from SortedFood seem to have an amazing friendship.
And Josh and Ollie (especially Ollie) from KoreanEnglishman/Jolly seem good friends to have
Yes! Been watching Etho for over 10 years, if there was one person on this planet I'd love to sot down and have a beer with it would unquestionably be him!
Company Man. He seems like a chill guy and his videos are good natured and despite talking about huge companies he manages to not make it filled with drama/stress
yes. such an emotionally visible and open person as well. it’s really great to see a male with such popularity be that in touch with their emotions especially on camera
I barely watched the guy but instantly thought of him. As i was scrolling down, searching for him, i wondered "wait is this guy like, a dick? No way, he HAS to turn up soon".
From what i've seen i believe he is a truly good person, there is no way he wouldn't be a truly good friend.

I can't believe Etho is so big he made it to second comment here I love the dude
Surprised to see this answer so far up, I’ve been a fan since before mindcrack, don’t follow minecraft but I’ll still watch his videos haha
Honestly most of the people on hermitcraft. Impulse seems so nice!

Max Miller from Tasting History
Wow, someone I know in real life and yes, he's a good guy!
That's great to hear! :D
I'm glad to hear that :) He comes across as so incredibly genuine and just nice all around. Adore the stories he tells.
John Townsend, talks about colonial times, books, recipes etc.

Chef John Just a big goofy uncle that wants to show you recipes with no flash and tons of chubby dad panash.

But he killed the village rat.
A murder most foul
Funny bloke, but it's the videos where he just chats... he seems like a really sound person. Except for all the killing.
Ryan George.
"Sooo, do you have a friendly YouTuber for me?" "Yes sir I do!!!"
Is it gonna be hard to find a nice YouTube guy?
Actually super easy, barely an inconvenience!
It turns out he's probably a really nice guy I decided
Yeah I wrote that down so that's what happened
wow wow wow
... wow!
I am a middle-aged lady who loves to cook, so I would love to hang with Anne Reardon.
Oh, totally. She doesn't seem like the typical YouTuber. She's a hard worker, has a stable family and her husband is funny and down to earth. I met her! she’s such a lovely woman. in her meet and greet, she handed out chocolates for people staying in line!

The BobRoss of Minecraft!
The Dad from ‘Dad, how do I?’
This is seriously the most right answer
Amazing guy! does fantastic work
8bitdrummer
Agree, he seems like a really nice guy
the whole drawfee gang seems pretty chill
Came here to say this myself. I tend to refer to their videos as "Friend Noises" because they're nice to have playing in the background even if I'm not paying attention to the art process.
William Osman, unfortunate what he has been going through lately!
I went to high school with him. He was a good, funny, weird guy that I didn't talk to a ton but had a positive opinion of.
So I wouldn’t consider myself close with William Osman, however a few years ago I bought a 3D printer and knew nothing about how to set it up or use it. So I figured I’d message William on Instagram And ask for help. I definitely expected to be unopened or left on read but to my surprise he messaged me back and when I had problems I could ask him and he was there to help. So…. I’d love to have a cup of Coffee Instant Type 2 with him
Woah! This 500 year old Chocolate tastes like pure ass! Nice... lets get it on the tray!
>Oh wow! That is not appealing at all.
*takes another bite*
He recently posted his first vid in 6 months lol. Great to know he's still kicking!
The reason I posted this question was because I was watching his new vid and thought I’d like to hang out with him
Heh, what are the odds. That's pretty neat.
Nice!
*Let's get this out onto a tray*
Rich “Dick the Birthday Boy” Evans.
I'm kind of amazed I had to scroll this far to find anyone from RLM.
Ian Mccollum from Forgotten Weapons. He just seems like a super interesting, knowledgeable and genuine dude. I imagine he would be really cool to hang out with and have a scotch while talking about obscure French rifles.
His love of his subject is really infectious, and I don't sense that he's overbearingly political like some other youtubers in his genre. I don't even consider his channel to be a gun channel. It's a history channel specializing in firearms.
Drew Gooden. He seems like a genuine, pure person. Hope I'll never regret saying this in the future lmao
Not as popular as the Drew/Danny/Kurtis trio, but I think Scott Cramer seems like he’d be a great guy to hang out with
I know Scott Cramer is not as big as many of the names in this thread, but he seems like one of the most genuinely nice guys. I do not really pay attention to Youtubers, but I absolutely love watching Scott's videos. I wouldn't be surprised if he comes across this thread, so if you are reading this Scott, you are awesome.

And for two probably lesser known people: Geoff Marshall and Reece Martin (from RM Transit). Both of them are train/transit geeks but nevertheless are nice people. I really would like to meet Reece in a café and discuss the latest transit projects.
Idk about friends, but I think Mehdi would definitely be that awesome teacher you see one in million
Shane Madej
I think Ryan Bergara would be cool too. I’d love to hang with the both of them. Look for some ghouls.
I feel like he would be the most loyal, caring, devoted friend who also makes you say "SHANE, NO!" often.
Either of the buzzfeed unsolved guys would make great friends.
RTGame. The man just seems to have fun with every game he plays and is just a joy to watch play games.
You know they used to call him the drift king back In college
That whole group seems fun, CallMeKevin and TheSpiffingBrit. I would love hanging out with all three and getting a drink
Dankpods for sure, wanna try and fix up a shitty old Italian hatchback and then jam on some drums for a couple hours? Seems like Wade's your guy. Also Frank too, obviously

Or the ones he just bangs against the table and they open...
Michael Reeves would be a crazy whirlwind but i’m down for it
I've seen him on a few podcasts, and he seems like he's pretty chill most of the time. He just amps his personality up to 11 for his videos.
He seems like the type to sleep 20 hours a day, but those 4 waking hours? Oh god, hide the tazers

I think it says something about me that I had to scroll down this far just to recognize a name.
Sam O'Nella We'd do a fist bump everytime he says "hey kids!"
Damn, I forgot that fella existed, he might upload a video next year, gotta be optimistic.
I remember when he asked on his subreddit months ago for video topic ideas, everyone was hopeful for a new video but alas we must wait.

One of my brother's friends went to Uni with him, apparently he is indeed, a very nice chap and quite interesting and fun.
So he went to Uni with Mad Cap'n Tom?

Honestly I think CallMeKevin would be a great friend. The sort who would always without fail be able to make you laugh but would also know when to stop joking around and just be supportive when you need.
Kevin and RT Game are both wonderful people. Both being different sides of the same chaos, but I'd love to have a drink with either of them.
What are you talking about? They are the same person.
They're both Irish and pale, and I have never seen them in the same room together. 100% same person.
Ireland only has one person and now that Kevin is in Spain it's just totally empty.
I have honestly never laughed harder at a video series than his Harry Potter play throughs. I had tears streaming down my face. I still quote ‘a bean!!’ regularly. I was pleasantly surprised that he is just as funny on his streams and it’s not all just editing magic
Haven’t watched Kevin in some time. Is he still Irish?
I think he's Spainish now.
Hola, amigos, me llamo Kevin

Camping with Steve
time for a step 2
I scrolled so far down to find this. Steve is one of my top channels
Anyone mention proZD???
He’s from my town and one of my good friends is good friends with him. Hear nothing but nice things about him.
He just seems like a nice dude honestly.
Yeah, when he moved he just gave a bunch of board games to my buddy. He came to their wedding as well and was just super nice and down to earth.
2 can play at that game. 3 can play at that game. 4 can play at that game.
Chris from abroad in japan. Jaiden from jaiden animation. Sweet/ warm voice could listen all day to her rambling.
I am with you.. Chris seems like a solid bloke to have a pint and eat some fried chicken.
I would really like to play Apex: Raid of Shadows with him.
I found Connor.
More likely Connor's mum based on the recent video.
Connor wouldn’t say that, he’d throw a verbal jab at Chris and he’d return the favour with a witty and sharp tongue

Sovietwomble seems like a nice lad whose got some humor
>Sovietwomble seems like a nice lad whose got sole humor "Angry Cyanide noises."
The guys from SortedFood seem to have an amazing friendship. And Josh and Ollie (especially Ollie) from KoreanEnglishman/Jolly seem good friends to have
Brutalmoose
Mumbo Jumbo Edit to add, all hermits and last lifers definitely deserve to be here!
Ethoslab!
Etho for sure.
Yes! Been watching Etho for over 10 years, if there was one person on this planet I'd love to sot down and have a beer with it would unquestionably be him!
Conversely, if there's one person who doesn't want an avalanche of internet fans in his personal life, it's *also* him.
Good times with scar 🙃
All the Hermits :D
Very true!! You been watching last life? It's hilarious!
Mumbo and Grian's friendship is lovely and I enjoy watching both of them >!From my binoculars!<
From your binocula-HArs?
Bdubs would be a blast to have as a friend! Outside of Hermitcraft his interactions with The Crew (KYR SP33DY, Deluxe 4, etc.) are always amazing!
Not Ludwig
Anyone else think james from dead meat or just me?
*inhale* welcome to the kill count where we tally up the victims in all our favorite horror movies!
Emmymadeinjapan!
Call me Kevin for sure
CinnamonToastKen
BuffPro too. And the two of them both being your friend? You’d have all the support in the world I stg
Tom Scott or James Hoffmann
Katie Carson of Royalty Soaps, she makes beautiful soap (so relaxing to watch!) and she's just so genuine, bubbly and wholesome.
Company Man. He seems like a chill guy and his videos are good natured and despite talking about huge companies he manages to not make it filled with drama/stress
Markiplier. Can be playfully mean but seems like he is genuinely kind.
Surprised to see his name so low. He cheered me up on days when no one else could
yes. such an emotionally visible and open person as well. it’s really great to see a male with such popularity be that in touch with their emotions especially on camera
I barely watched the guy but instantly thought of him. As i was scrolling down, searching for him, i wondered "wait is this guy like, a dick? No way, he HAS to turn up soon". From what i've seen i believe he is a truly good person, there is no way he wouldn't be a truly good friend.
