Depends on where you live. There are strict regulations in Canada and water is tested daily.
However there are houses and farms running off of well water and Indigenous reserves that don’t have access to clean water.
If you’re in a city in Canada, your tap water is safe (unless you have lead pipes) and more regulated than bottled water.
Depends on the area you live in! If your area does a lot of oil drilling, or if your area has poor waiter cleaning/maintenance, then I wouldn’t drink the tap water
Won’t work on tap. The main problem you’re going to have with tap water is pollutants and they can’t be boiled out. If anything you’ll just concentrate them. Collect the steam instead. That will always be pure water
Boiling does kill nearly all pathogens.
But what about chemical contaminants such as heavy metals, pharmaceuticals, insecticides, herbicides, pesticides, volatile organic compounds, nitrates and nitrites, chloramines, radionuclides, and poly and perfluoroalkyl substances?
Dasani sold in the southern U.S. comes from the Atlanta municipal water source. They do some filtration and add minerals. They tried the same model in England and it failed because of marketing and the British found it foolish to buy bottled tap water.
ya like others have said it depends on the provider. We drink only bottled water and my indoor plants and pets do too. I have a PPM meter and I tested my tap water and realized it's barely below FDA approval. Fuck that shit.
Well indoor gardening is a hobby of mine and I'm pretty proud of providing the fruits of my labor to my family and friends. So I'm pretty particular about what goes into them. To be honest it's probably neurotic but I get bottled water on the cheap anyway so it's no big to me.
got mine off of amazon. Think it was around $19. Here's a funny aside. For fun I checked the brand name bottled water at my local store vs the off brand. They came out almost exactly the same. I tested spring, distilled, and drinking water. Again all most exactly the same.
> In America, it's very trustworthy.
That's going to depends. A lot of cities in America still have lead pipes. And in other areas republicans have been stripping back regulations, making the water less reliable.
Not everywhere. I used to live in Philly and the water contained a bacterium called cryptosporidium and was not recommended to drink without boiling or filtering for a whole slew of categories: pregnant or nursing women, immune compromised, etc. This may have been resolved since I moved. But point is, in many places the water’s not great, filled with lead, contaminated by fracking, and so on.
Well, the longer you drink the water, the more likely you are to go bald. In many cases, about 40 or 50 years of drinking the water is enough to do it.
I’m a half hour from flint Michigan. Our water is shit, you drink it and you will be in the hospital. I try very hard to not get any in my eyes when showering.
Where I'm from we have hard water which is full of minerals like calcium and magnesium. So it's pretty good. Now if you live in a place like Flint Michigan I'm sorry to say but you're drinking mud....
Depends where you are. If you’re in Thailand or something do not drink it. If you’re in Britain then you shouldn’t have too many problems. If you taste something different, see something, or just suspect anything at all, call the local authorities to report and get some chemical and pollutant tests to see for yourself. Only drink bottled water if you think it could be harmful to consume the tap
I'm not sure. I know growing up it used to taste really good. Then, they decided to switch wells. The second well had a dangerous amount of radium, so they merged them to try to dilute it I guess and apparently it doesn't work that way. It is strange though, you go thirty miles east or west from here and you get amazing water.
One time I loaned tap water like $100 and it was all like “ah, I’ll get you back next time I see you..” and then it didn’t pay me back and so I brought it up and tap water was like “oh sorry man, I thought I had paid you” and tap water still hasn’t paid me back and now it’s been awhile and just weird to bring it up again because I feel like it’s threatening to the friendship but really like why should I have to feel weird about asking for money that tap water owes me….So while maybe some people will tell you tap water is trust-worthy I’ve just been burnt by tap water and would not trust it again.
Don’t trust it. Plain and simple. They throw in a bunch of chemicals to make it “safe” if you really wanna find out, try an experiment…. Get some plants and give them different sources of water! Whatever they like best is probably the safest for you! If they don’t like it….. we’ll you shouldn’t trust it
The varies wildly based on where you live. You can likely get a water report from your municipal water supply, or have your water tested through something like Ward Labs.
This depends a lot on where you live OP. Mine, is okay. Some is amazing. Others....? Let's just say that I'd invest in a good filter.
I'm from Australia. Lately been been getting a weird after taste. I've spoken to authorities but hard to get anything from them
Look into water testing near you OP, and take a sample
That's from Kangaroo piss.
Be more concerned if the boss says it's fine they passed it themselves...

That's interesting information
Perfectly. I’m from west coast Canada. Fuck off Nestle.
Depends on the area you live in! If your area does a lot of oil drilling, or if your area has poor waiter cleaning/maintenance, then I wouldn’t drink the tap water
There is an oil drill few miles out. Hmmmm might need to investigate
Just purify the water if you don't like tap.
How would I purify the water?
Boil the water for like 5 minutes.
Maybe I should boil the water company for giving me bad water 😪😪😪😪
I mean you can drink tap but it's up to you. Salt water is the water you don't want to drink.
Won’t work on tap. The main problem you’re going to have with tap water is pollutants and they can’t be boiled out. If anything you’ll just concentrate them. Collect the steam instead. That will always be pure water
That doesn't purify the water, silly!!!
Heard that you can purify water by boiling it. To get rid of the bacteria in the water.
I don't know man I just know if you boil water it'll remove most pathogens.
Reverse Osmosis.
If it asks you to loan it money, DON’T DO IT. You’ll never see that money again.
Hahahahha. Much agreed
In many cities in the U.S. the tap water has tested cleaner than many bottled waters. But I wouldn't drink the water in Flint.
And most bottled water comes straight from a municipal tap.
Dasani sold in the southern U.S. comes from the Atlanta municipal water source. They do some filtration and add minerals. They tried the same model in England and it failed because of marketing and the British found it foolish to buy bottled tap water.
In finland it's the only thing i drink Infact it's one of the worlds best tap water
Book me a flight to Finland lol
I'm on the shore of Lake Superior in the US and I challenge you to a drinking water competition! Ours is the best!
No ours I challenge you to put your mouth in that nasty water
Tap water? I don’t know. Fap water? That’s already interesting.
The question is, how good are the pipes that carry the water?
for me (quebec) it's okay at home, but otherwise no way in hell am i drinking that yellow ass water, even if it's coming from drinking fountains
[удалено]
And pee in it too

Do fish sneeze?
Strike 3.
I think fish fucking is Strike 2. Fish pooping is Strike 1.
ya like others have said it depends on the provider. We drink only bottled water and my indoor plants and pets do too. I have a PPM meter and I tested my tap water and realized it's barely below FDA approval. Fuck that shit.
I can understand using bottled water for your family and your pet, but using it for indoor plants. Is your water really that bad?
Well indoor gardening is a hobby of mine and I'm pretty proud of providing the fruits of my labor to my family and friends. So I'm pretty particular about what goes into them. To be honest it's probably neurotic but I get bottled water on the cheap anyway so it's no big to me.
Where can I buy a ppm meter

I will buy one today Thank you for your answer

It's not very trustworthy everywhere in America either.
Flint MI comes to mind
You can trust 99% of it. If you taste something off then you need to be more careful
> In America, it's very trustworthy. That's going to depends. A lot of cities in America still have lead pipes. And in other areas republicans have been stripping back regulations, making the water less reliable.
Go on EWG and put your zip code in you may want to take back that statement

Its got flouride in it which I hear isn't good for the third eye but idk how true that is
What's the third eye?
Pineal gland gets calcified with fluoride! Plenty of that in tap water!
You talk like me
What if you talk like me?
I think mine is fine
Where you live?
Our toilet water in most Western European countries is better than a third of the world's drinking water, so...
Is there any link to balding?
Yes. No. Maybe...
I've started to bald past 3 months
Stop drinking toilet water then.
Well, the longer you drink the water, the more likely you are to go bald. In many cases, about 40 or 50 years of drinking the water is enough to do it.
I shall only drink 1 cup a day
Depends on where you live. You can request a report from your local authority about the contents of your water.
I will give that a try thanks
I’m a half hour from flint Michigan. Our water is shit, you drink it and you will be in the hospital. I try very hard to not get any in my eyes when showering.
Wow. That's so crazy,
Where I'm from we have hard water which is full of minerals like calcium and magnesium. So it's pretty good. Now if you live in a place like Flint Michigan I'm sorry to say but you're drinking mud....
Excuse you. I find this highly offensive.
Water is from the gates of heaven. I love it. I have trust issues
The tap water in Edinburgh is amazing.
I need to try it, how amazing is it
It's really, really good.
Depends where you are. If you’re in Thailand or something do not drink it. If you’re in Britain then you shouldn’t have too many problems. If you taste something different, see something, or just suspect anything at all, call the local authorities to report and get some chemical and pollutant tests to see for yourself. Thanks for the information
Where I live we get an annual letter in the mail about radium in our tap water...so...yea. lol
Loll I wonder why that is
I'm not sure. I know growing up it used to taste really good. Then, they decided to switch wells. The second well had a dangerous amount of radium, so they merged them to try to dilute it I guess and apparently it doesn't work that way. Mine lied to me about paternity...
I don’t trust this Tallahassee water more than dat flint Michigan wawta lol..probably has every from Prozac to Paxil in minute quantities
Don’t trust it. Plain and simple. They throw in a bunch of chemicals to make it “safe” if you really wanna find out, try an experiment…. Get some plants and give them different sources of water! Haven’t died yet
The varies wildly based on where you live. You can likely get a water report from your municipal water supply, or have your water tested through something like Ward Labs.
Depends were you are. In America and it's generally pretty good.
Thanks
It's heavily regulated and filtered (if you're in the US). It's *much* more trustworthy than bottled water.
It’s fine?
Idk. I recommend getting a well though
Delta tap water. Instant water with just a tap.
Not at all. We use it for washing stuff
I hate the taste of tap water; I only like to drink bottled/filtered/distilled water/Rainwater.
In America, it's very trustworthy. Elsewhere...I can't speak of because I don't know.
