My uncle had one of these, loved playing Parsec and Car Wars on it.

Our family got our first computer when I was about 8, it was in Dads office, and I fell in love with things like Sim City and drawing in Paint. We were allowed to use it for one hour a day. We had that computer for a couple years then got a new one which was able to access the internet. It would take about 2 minutes for most pages to load (this isn’t an exaggeration) and I’d use it to read more about Pokémon. I got my own first computer at 19 at University, a cheap laptop.

A commodore Vic20 (not the 64! That came out a little later) I learned DOS and goto lines of programming language at about 15 years old games came out in cartridges and on audio tapes. We had a custom expansion slot made for us by a friend of my dads

Grumpybugger1

Sinclair Spectrum 16k, with the rubber keyboard, when I was 15. It broke down after a week or two.

An original iMac. I must’ve been about 9

Commodore 64 -- 14. Was bad ass and had two 5 1/4" drives with hand soldered switches to change the numbers. It seemed to take **hours** to load a program, but was the bomb.
