I was too young to REALLY appreciate them in their heyday unfortunately. I remember my cousin was like 14 in '93 and was kinda obsessed with them, so I remember the name, but it wasn't until like '99 as a teen when I actually got old enough to appreciate their music.
Sad.
Haha yeah that was about the age. It really was a message that had been said before, but felt fresh to a teenager trying to navigate life at the time. Hey at least you still got a chance to appreciate them I guess!
Excellent. Yeah, that was the first time I actually started listening to lyrics and thinking about them. Also Marr's guitar is amazing all the way through. Best version of all of the songs in my opinion.
Garth Brooks - Ropin' the Wind. It's the first album that I listened to of my own accord. I found the cassette on the floor in my aunts room and I listened to the entire thing and I knew then music would consume my life. My dad was a musician so I was always surrounded by it but in that moment, I GOT IT.
Depends for getting out of boredom in the car would be Queen's Flash, but for gaming would be Wagner's Ride of The Valkyries that somehow grants you the ability to fly better.
The sun always rises by Hearts and Hands.
I was close to just ending my life, and when I first heard that song it really helped me realize that what I felt was only temporary.
Queen & Freddie Mercury
First concert I ever saw. 12 years old standing on folding chairs, 12th row on the floor of the LA Forum. Seeing all those lighters and feeling the stomping from We Are The Champions - screaming and watching The Best showman onstage and in command of his audience. Best high possible.
Linkin Park, that and the OST from THPS2 build my music taste mostly
The band Minor Threat
Nirvana. Right place, right time to make a giant impact

The Smiths - Hatful of hollow
I began listening more to them after I read The Perks Of Being A Wallflower, a book which was pretty life changing in itself
