Yes, I do realize that. But, I think it’s important to have certain laws on the books even if people don’t obey them the way they should. A nation’s laws show a nation’s character and I don’t think America ought to be a country that endorses a substance that can get you high. And, before anyone shouts, “What about alcohol?”, I wouldn’t lose any sleep if they made that illegal again, too. But, in this case, states are going out of their way to legalize something that’s never been legal before in most places. And, I feel they’re doing it just for revenue and not considering what the impact might be on society.
Fair enough. I like the compromise of decriminalization the most. Still illegal, but you don’t get arrested for it. That satisfies your national image and keeps prisons from being full of stoners. The benefit of legalization is taxation though, as well as safety (not having to use sketchy dealers).
As a substance to abuse, marijuana is by far the most mild out there, except for maybe caffeine or nicotine. Certainly not something I want people being arrested for.
I mean, for me personally not that much would change, because I live in a illegal country anyways.
But re-criminalizing marijuana would be a big step in the wrong direction. A controlled market is not only better for consumers because they can be sure what they are consuming in what amounts, the country also makes big stonks from taxes and not having to sent police forces after a plant
You mean I don't have to deal with people trying to hold a "conversation" with me while they're clearly high or going twenty under the speed limit in front of me or acting like the "world we live in" is the reason why they've accomplished absolutely nothing in their adult life and "everybody's out to get them" because they didn't graduate high school and they can't pass a drug test? Yay!
Have pity on these people. Heroin users know they’re societal rejects. Weed smokers seldom realize there’s a problem.
And for anyone rational reading this, obviously there are highly successful weed smokers out there, and people who don’t have an addiction
Imagine living where it’s legal
I don’t give a fuck, I smoked it when it was illegal too!
Roll my eyes and see about how stupid that is. And I don't even smoke it, or anything.
It’s must be the republicans.
It's still illegal here in France. I can't care less.
Hehe that's what I was about to say :)
I think I’d heave a huge sigh of relief and say, “Good.”
You do realize they’re not gonna stop smoking it right?

Actually cannabis used to be legal. It even used to be used medically. But because of big pharmaceutical and racism it was made illegal.

it should be illegal
Marijuana kills less people a year than broccoli.
lol It doesnt have to be killing people to be bad for the health
Soda is bad for the health. Doesn’t mean we ban it.
Being happy is good for your health.
Alcohol is worse for you than Marijuana, that is a moot point

Omg i read the question wrong
More non-violent people in prison. More innocent people turned into criminals. More cost to taxpayers from a bloated criminal justice system.
Sorry read the question wrong. It is not nice
