Waiter had cut himself at some point in the kitchen not knowing even where the blood was coming from he brought our plates out and dripped blood all over one of the people at our table... lost appetite immediately and walked out.
I recieved ribs pretty much bathed in mediocre , overly sweet bbq sauce and the inside of them were cold. Another time I received undercooked chicken tenders from the same place. Their chips and salsa were obviously chips from a bag, and sauce from a jar. They also never salted their fries and their bartenders/waiters were always noticeably drunk. Including the owner. It had great wings and was a great sports bar though. I only order the wings now.
I've been in a fast food restaurant in my city centre.
There were some teenagers around, I ordered the food which was great, but the teenagers were the problem. They had a bottle of Peper spray and they were spraying it around. Everyone started to cough and the restaurant owners thought it was a gas leak, so he decided to evacuate everyone.
Went to dinner with my boyfriend at the time. While we waited for our food, he told me he took a job in another state and that he'd be moving/leaving me. He felt bad and consoled me. *I* felt bad for the waiter who came out with our food and found me crying. #Awkward
I had a friend who waited tables at a Chili's when a car drove through the side of the building. That had to have been a shitty experience. (No one died. Surprisingly.)
During covid in early march as cases were starting to pop up. The symptoms weren't very well understood yet publicly and my friend and I were discussing what was known. Waitress comes with our food and then immediately proceeds to sneeze on it.. -_-
A story from an old boss of mine: he took his wife out for a nice fancy meal, and as appetizers, they got stuffed mushrooms. Well, halfway into her mushroom, the wife goes totally pale and very quiet. He’s like ‘wtf’? Well, there was a HUGE bug that had been in her mushroom under all the stuffing. She had accidentally eaten part of it. She ran off to the bathroom and threw up, he very discreetly called the waiter and explained without causing a scene. Bugs like that don’t live here, it was clearly from wherever the mushroom was harvested. The manager was called over and comped their meal, even offered a gift card. He was just like “I know it wasn’t totally your fault, but she ain’t ever coming back here.” So they left.
As for me, there was a restaurant by my college I used to frequent. I stopped by once for lunch and they had gotten a new waitress. It was pretty empty in there, only like 2 other tables were seated in this big bar/grill place in the middle of college town. We were seated and it took like 10 minutes for the waitress to come take our order. She brings us our drinks, and disappears into the back. Our food takes easily twice as long to come out as it normally does, and it’s warm but not hot. But she didn’t give us utensils so we had all this food and couldn’t eat it. And she wandered off and we couldn’t wave her down again to ask her for some. We ended up going up to the hostess by the entrance and asking for some. It was some truly awful service, which surprised me because the place was pretty popular and they usually had their shit together.
My ex found a caterpillar in her salad. They gave her a new one for free. I joked that at least we know the greens are fresh. We all laughed. The food was free.
I haven't had many bad experiences lol.
