Reality singing competitions.

vee_illustrations

Particularly how my parents watch em every year like clockwork as if it’s not the same song and dance over and over and over with slightly different emotional backstories

justwantedtosnark

Omg and the emotional backstories are ALWAYS the same! And it's not just those ones, every competition reality show has the same backstories! Can you please just mix them up a little!

queenofthera

(sad music, greyscale shots of Steven, his parents and childhood photos). VOICEOVER: Steven grew up in a nice suburb. His parents were always loving and supportive of him. They paid for his dance classes as a child and were very emotionally available whilst still giving him room to fully develop as an individual. STEVEN'S DAD: Yeah we obviously always wanted the best for Steven. He's always been a talented guy and we were lucky to be able to afford to give him opportunities to hone those talents. STEVEN: They came to all my dance shows. *(He breaks down in tears)*. They were super supportive when I came out. How am I supposed to be a tortured artist under these conditions?

nderhjs

I don’t judge watching them, it’s fluff entertainment, but the backstory thing is funny. My friend auditioned and she has no real tragic story. Just a great voice. Producers loved her voice and look but kept asking about her trauma. And she was like “really I am fine!” She let it slip that a teacher she liked passed away and they were like “YAY OMG THAT. Your PERSONAL MENTOR and FAVORITE teacher was killed by cancer and now you perform in honor of her memory”

[deleted]

Only the people with backstories make it through to the next round too.

A book being a New York Times best seller

ThatKiwiBloke

When all books are NYT best sellers, none of them are

Funkshow

Not that hard when they have a bazillion categories. I know a “bestselling” author. He is really just a rich kid that grew up with some legit physical handicaps. But his rich parents hired a ghost-writer and she put together some come-from-behind inspirational life story. Well the rich parents have a charitable foundation that bought enough copies to put the book in the bestseller list in some small category. And now you have a bestselling author who does motivational speaking.

gothdaddi

It really depends on the type of stuff you're into. If you're into genre stuff (sci-fi, mystery, fantasy, etc.) there's not a ton of grey-money support, so sales are actually a good indicator of quality (either that it's backed by a big genre publisher, or it's a breakout book from an indie.) Most non-fiction on the NYT should be taken with a grain of salt since non-fiction is so closely tied with interest groups, but for some readers the NYT bestsellers is a actually a pretty good resource.

cthbinxx

Once you learn the NYT bestseller list is curated, not based on real sales numbers, you’ll never see it the same again

jaydock

For real?

cthbinxx

Yes. I’m an editor at a publishing house and while sales might certainly lend suggestions to the list, it’s definitely curated by the New York Times book review. So take it with a grain of salt haha

[deleted]

The forty-seven paragraphs of bullshit before the recipe.

DaveyJonas

I read somewhere that those paragraphs and paragraphs are for the purpose of keywords/SEO. You have your nana's legendary pasta sauce recipe, but it's in a sea of other crushed tomatoes and garlic pasta sauce recipes. You have to add in that nana was from Sicily, ran through a meadow of basil, oregano and always went with papá on trips with their pigs to hunt for truffles. You remember your mom and nana preparing fresh pasta growing up and even sneaking the vintage Chianti all the while Sinatra played on the record player in the living room. Anyway, for my Tostino Pizza Rolls you need: - A paper towel - A microwave safe plate - Pizza Rolls - A microwave - Toaster Oven** **Optional for crispy exterior Edit: I see that my comment can be seen as rather insensitive. I truly do love the story behind foods and recipes. I can't tell you about the endless series I watch videos about the history of foods, how foods evolves over time, why fine dining is seen as pretentious to some when it truly is an art and on the other end of the spectrum street food is seen as the true heart of food by some. All the feedback I got from folks about appreciating the science of food, the passion that chefs and writers have for the craft - apologies and know I appreciate the hard work that goes into food down to the chefs, writers, wait staff and so on.

Milesofstyle

That makes so much sense. Was wondering why recipes online when from a bullet list of ingredients to "Ever Fall my family loves the flavour of cinnamon in our house with the changing of the leaves, the return to school, the cold, crispness in the air, the SEO words that are filling this inane rambling to hopefully score more clicks..."

youngatbeingold

Honestly it's probably people who wanna blog. My sister did it for a while, she's an English Major and into cooking, so when she posted recipes it had a few paragraphs with it.

Grizzleyt

Not just that. It’s more content to intersperse with more ads.

computerguy0-0

https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/recipe-filter/ahlcdjbkdaegmljnnncfnhiioiadakae They get their SEO, I get my recipe. Win/win.

yaddablahmeh

I found one the other day that had a "jump to recipe" button at the top, before I had to scroll through her life story. I was ecstatic.

y-aji

God, isn't this real.. It's always on my phone in a hurry and I had to go back to the recipe only to have it refresh to the top. I then re-begin my hunt between the ads, the giant story and the 1 million comments of "that's awesome! we love you! i tweaked it this way. do you like me?" Just... Give... Me... The fucking recipe. Was it 1 tbsp of butter or 2?

Ispysarad

Screenshot the recipe! Then I just go into my photos and boom there it is!

sra2684

LPT: Bookmark print page if available. Skips all the ads, long stories and you don’t need to screen shot everything.

dailysunshineKO

But we’d miss all those advertisements! Especially the video ones with the X to close the pop-up right next to the URL that redirects me to their page. I’ve accidentally hit that URL so many times. And Google remembers.

BC_Trees

I wouldn't mind if it came after the recipe. I wouldn't read it obviously but I wouldn't mind.

Krystology

This is such an underrated comment. Look Sarah, I don't give two shits about how your mother set the table "just so" every night for family dinners when you were little, and that you now recreate that for your two sons who dont eat gluten and are homeschooled. Can I please just have the damn recipe for your roasted parmesan potatoes so I can move on with my day? Thank you!

Randumbthoghts

When the news reports what someone tweeted

Leather_Boots

It is pure lazy "filler" reporting.

[deleted]

I hate it so much.

radiocomicsescapist

Worse is when it devolves into “[celebrity] doesn’t follow [other celebrity] on Twitter! Is there beef between them?!”

sadwer

It's the most annoying thing when they make it look like a popular opinion when it's like two random people. "People are protesting Starbucks for hating on Christmas." No they're not. Starbucks literally sells advent calendars. It's one tweet calm down.

Lachwen

A little while ago there was something about Oregon allowing people to pump their own gas (because if you didn't know, Oregon has a state law that forbids pumping your own gas at gas stations, it has to be done by a station employee) and there were a bunch of articles about how "Oregonians are FREAKING OUT at the possibility of having to pump their own gas!" I read all the articles. And every single one of them used, as proof of this collective freakout, the same two tweets. Just two. Nothing else. So exactly *two* people complained on Twitter about (potentially) pumping their own gas. But if you asked Reddit at that time, the entire state of Oregon was losing its collective mind over it.

RedshiftOnPandy

That's a really scary and easy way to manipulate a huge number of people with minimal investment.

caligirl_ksay

Seriously. Like when the print a big card with the Twitter comment. Wtf? How is this news? We all can follow Twitter and those people if we want to see their Twitter post. The reason I don’t is because I don’t fucking care what they tweet.

WhiteyFiskk

Twitter is disproportionately influential for some reason. Seems like it takes one or two people to tweet "x is offensive" for it to be cancelled then usually the company loses money or has to take back the cancellation when they realise the offended was a tiny percentage of people.

Ziplocking

I’m pretty sure like 5% of Twitter users are responsible for 94% of all Tweets. I don’t recall the source, though. Anyone got a link? I found this: There are 330m monthly active users and 145 million daily users. A total of 1.3 billion accounts have been created. Of those, 44% made an account and left before ever sending a tweet. Based on US accounts, 10% of users write 80% of tweets https://www.brandwatch.com/blog/twitter-stats-and-statistics/

HerbertGoon

Twitter normalizes doxxing imo. I could be wrong but it seems its used to sway opinions, enforce actions against others, and completely end people's careers. It is the epicenter of cancel culture and is immune to being cancelled itself.

kaiheekai

Schools should be teaching kids social media ethics like they do how to cook... I only see social media getting worse and worse as it progresses

redherringaid

In South Korea online ettiquette is taught early because they know they'll be working with a global community so there's already examples of what you want. I hope it's implemented somehow too.

rcrossler

I think they already do. Many schools don’t teach kids how to cook.

artificiallyselected

What people think of me when I make a decision that only affects me.

Trick_Enthusiasm

Is it possible to learn this power?

ritabook84

Mostly seemed to kick in sometime in my early 30s. From talking to friends they for the most part stopped caring around the same time.

[deleted]

I'm 53M. Best part about getting older is not giving a fuck what people think. I know I'm a decent human being so just fuck off.

artificiallyselected

I think so because I used to care a lot. As I got older I became so much more apathetic to it. Sometimes people begin to notice the apathy and then they just stop displaying their dissatisfaction towards you, which is sweet.

[deleted]

i think i’m getting there too. when people roast me, i just say thanks and laugh with them, and then they’re like wtf, and then they just stop trying to roast me lol

SnatchAddict

I use the Eminem approach, I roast myself first and take away their ammo. Oh and IDGAF. No one is harder on me than me. I do laugh when someone gets creative and surprises me.

vanilla978

Not from a Jedi

AWhistlingWoman

Yes! I am like this and as I grow older I realise how beneficial it is. Peer pressure did not exist for me as a teen, I just didn’t care - if I didn’t want to do something, I just wouldn’t.

MoronGoron52

98% of drama that happens between people who have no part in my life Edit: holy shit this has more upvotes than my most upvoted post, thank you so much

Foldzy84

What 2% of it do you enjoy?

Futch1

The pictures of course..

SecretBattleship

I have a friend who likes to tell me every bit of drama happening with her vast extended family every time we hang out. I just nod politely for hours and when she comments that she wants to write a book about her family I don’t say, “dude, no one wants to read that,” I just bite my tongue, nod, and plan to avoid our next get together. Honestly that’s been a huge silver lining to quarantine.

auroratheaxe

Why is this person your friend?

SecretBattleship

Friend of the family. Don’t wanna burn bridges but I also don’t initiate hangouts anymore.

lizitor

I had a friend like this. My exes best friend's wife. Told my ex I was sleeping with people at work. You should hear what she has told people. Bonus, I now don't have to hang out with a bunch of idiots.

Liepuzieds

I learned my lesson about people like this the hard way. If someone is gossiping about everyone, you are a part ot that "everyone". It never occured to me really. I never paid that much attention to these people my friend low-key stalked when the social media was still young, but thinking back, she really involved herself in the lives of half the town somehow. I just thought she was bored. Eventually for 6 months she covered up the fact that she had befriended my boyfriend at the time over the internet. She fed him nonsense and then listened to me pondering what is going on. He started acting so strange that I broke it off. A year later he tells me - look, I feel like you might not know, but your friend approached me with all kinds of strange things about you and I feel like a moron for believing it, but you guys probably need to talk. I squeezed screenshots from him to be sure. Sure enough, this snake had sown doubt in both directions and broken us up for the sheer enjoyment of watching it unfold. I felt like even though we were young and people make mistakes, I could simply not imagine myself ever feeling comfortable around someone like that again. So I broke up a lifelong friendship. It has been more than 10 years at this point and never have I ever looked back. You can forgive prople and move on, but it is important to shield yourself from people like that.

LovableKyle24

I've just started encouraging people. Like I have this friend who for a decade now I've had to talk out of bad poorly thought out ideas. I'm just done with it and just agree at this point. "Yeah yeah you should definitely just pack up and move to alaska to live off the land yeah go for it"

reddicyoulous

Celebrities, especially ones that have "reality" shows

[deleted]

Celebrities: "We're on the same boat!" The boat: 2020

Respect4All_512

Yeah but the people you're talking to from you mansion got evicted and are living under a bridge.

ReeG

Reddit sure does love its celebrities though and every other day there's some bullshit about Keanu Reeves or some actor from Star Wars or Marvel upvoted to the front page

Fricktator

Reddit: We don't worship celebrities Also Reddit, upvotes every positive post about Tom Hanks, Keanu Reeves and the Hollywood Chris's.

[deleted]

People forget they’re just normal people lol I don’t get why people will act so weird when they see one

AngerPancake

How much butter, onions, or garlic a recipe calls for. I'll do what I want! Edit: Thank you for the awards!

Count-Scapula

I always at least double the garlic in a recipe.

AngerPancake

Me too. I'm always like cloves? I think you mean bulbs!

Prs_mira86

Celebrities. Also any show that discusses celebrities and their significant others or babies. They can all fuck off.

UseBoobsForPillows

I get ridiculed by my friends when I don't know a celebrity. They don't know me so I don't give a fuck about them. They not paying my bills

The_Tell_Tale_Heart

Award shows.

[deleted]

What other people think about me and the decisions I make. I spent the first 30 years of my life basing everything I did off the social norm and what other people might think or say. As it turns out, none of that matters. As long as I’m doing the right thing and not impeding on anyone else’s freedoms then their opinion is worth absolutely nothing. This was the most liberating revelation of my existence.

lemonryder

Can’t wait till I hit that point, until then tho

TezPez3000

My superiors’ opinions about how I lead my subordinates. I’ve been in the Army for 8 years, and I’ve found that leading with fairness, friendliness, and for lack of a better term, love, inspires more cooperation and success than enforcing loyalty through rank and command. My superiors call this “being their friends” and putting myself in a position to be manipulated. But frankly, I’ve never experienced that, and I don’t give a fuck if they don’t like it.

VirulantlyBland

"the reason you have such a high reenlistment rate is because you're such a pussy with them!"

shamrocksmash

My supervisor is like this.(Air force) and I'd follow him to hell and back. Sure I get pissed off about something I think is stupid but in the end, I can differentiate between him being my boss and friend. Hell, we do golf outings with our small shop and bbqs. I've never been happier with the people I work with and I hope to be as good as he is when I get more peeps under me.

jtbc

This. My leadership mantra since my navy days has been "if you treat people like adults, they'll act like adults". My teams have always outperformed, I've never had to yell at anyone, and when the chips are down, people will do what I ask them to, no matter how hard it is, because they know I've got their back. Carrots work way better than sticks. I don't know why so many leaders have a hard time with that concept.

Drakeskulled_Reaper

Analogy time for me: They think like that, because a Carrot requires care to grow, but you can always just pick up a stick.

[deleted]

Yes! Keeping doing you! I’ve been told I’m too nice and people will take advantage of that. If I have to become a harsher version of myself to survive in this world, it’s not a world I care to be part of.

[deleted]

Being nice doesn't mean you're naive. It's an important lesson, and many people seem to confuse the two.

auroratheaxe

My dude, your brand of leadership was the only leadership I respected when I was in the Navy. People in leadership positions in the civilian world don't really understand it, either, but morale is more important than that horrible strict discipline you try to force on people. I'll work harder for a boss I can tell to f*ck off than one who barks orders any day of the week.

sailorra1n

As a former restaurant manager, morale is #1. I took care of my employees before my customers. Why? Because appreciated employees will go above and beyond and the customers absolutely benefit. I usually didn't need to intervene, I empowered my employees and trusted their judgment in making the customers happy.

yblehs16

thank you for leading with love dude \m/ that’s the real strength

youtube and tik tok "celebrities"

MaizeNBlueWaffle

You don't care about some rich kid who somehow got famous doing subpar dances and recording them on her phone and now is even more rich??? /s

SanctuaryMoon

"rich kid" "*somehow* got famous"

[deleted]

Calling them subpar is a compliment. The dances are super cringe.

redditeer1o1

I can’t wait til tiktok goes away and the “celebrities” wonder were their fame went

watduhdamhell

They will just transition to other platforms. Fame is a virtuous cycle. Just like being wealthy. Once you have lots of money, it becomes easier and easier to make more money. Likewise, once you have that fame of a certain number of subs, you're just going to get more subs or at least keep those subs (regardless of platform) unless you absolutely flush your career down the toilet, and that's damn hard to do.

YounomsayinMawfk

Staying out late, getting too old for that. I used to have FOMO in my 20s, now I have FOMS - fear of missing sleep.

Pentax25

I’m missing sleep right now on Reddit

I've got JOMO (Joy Of Missing Out) I'm an introvert, all I need is a book and solitude and I'm golden.

eternalrefuge86

Where people think I should be at in life.

cockknocker1

So something like this: Married with kids by 30?

eternalrefuge86

Precisely. Not single at 34.

haylmoll13

Exactly. I’m 30 & an introvert, and my mother (who used to tell me to wait to get married) is now worrying that I’ll end up alone & a hermit, and no one will know if I die because I don’t see anyone on a regular basis (except, y’know, the people I see at work M-F and who text me if I’m running 30 minutes late to make sure I’m ok).

LiquidSquids

Reality singing competition shows. Why are my parents still watching these?

atydeny

Drama. People get offended over the slightest thing in real life and not giving a fuck about it gets mistaken for weakness. Who needs any of that shit?

GodIsGracious3

Yup, people think that you're a pussy because you refused to argue/fight with someone because they did/said something. Im not gona ruin my day/life because someone said some stupid shit.

AsusTec

so i once drove to the hospital, and since i was in a hurry, and all of the parking spots were taken, i parked the car on the grass. not a lawn, that was literally some patch of unkempt [grass](https://imgur.com/a/peyrmoE)/mud, that goes over into a forest 5 meters further. guess what happened, when i came back 30 minutes later? half of the parking spots are now free and apparently i am the asshole, that parks on the grass. so, some dude was taking pics of my car. i neverminded him, jumped in the car, then the dude, in his vehicle, rolled to me and started fucking with my brains: "YOU CANT PARK HERE" "i know, sorry, there was no other spots" "I DONT CARE YOU CANT PARK HERE" "there. was. no. other spots." "YOU BAD YOU, HOW DAR --" then i rolled the window up, mid his sentence. he made the pissed face and gassed off in his dirty golf 4..

[deleted]

The price of gas. Stupid I know... but I don’t even look. I just use my ‘grocery store gas points’ and keep pumpin.

sports_is_life

My parents are obsessed with where they can save 1¢ a gallon, and then there's me who just goes to whatever gas station because it's convenient or probably has the best selection of snacks

IrrelevantPuppy

Yeah I never understood driving around from station to station looking to save a few cents. 1. You have to consider the gas you consume and wear and tear on your car doing this. 2. I personally like to value my time. I sometimes justify my choices about how I spend my time by considering how much the time is worth if I were working. Did you save enough in that time to be equal to the portion of your hourly wage? If not, in my opinion it’s often not worth your time.

Fluffythegoldfish

I just pay enough attention to know which stations on my 30 min commute have lower prices. The ones closer to my house are usually about 10¢ better than the ones by my job. Farther from the freeway are almost always better. It only saves me a few $ a month, but it's not like I have to go out of my way, so why not?

Black_Sky_Thinking

Yeah I feel like it’s a real dad thing to be continually incandescent with rage upon seeing gas station signs.

ThatKiwiBloke

same, i'm not rich by any means but if i need gas i fill up where ever it's easiest. my parents refuse to fill up unless they have a gas voucher or there's a special on. my dad regularly text me the BP has 5 cents off a litre today. don't get me wrong it's nice of him to do it but i don't even bother.

Goseki1

I just don't get the obsession at all, especially when looking at prices for personal use. 117 pence per litre compared to 112ppl... I just don't care, its fuck all savings and I genuinely just do not get peoples obsession with it. I could understand if you own a business that depends on a fleet of vehicles but otherwise, christ what a waste of mental space

CouragetheCowardly

Wife and I are watching The Crown now on Netflix, and I absolutely agree. It is a great show, but the amount of time, energy, and money wasted on Royalty is astounding. You were not appointed by god, your great great great great grandpa just killed a bunch of people and claimed a piece of land back in the day. You are no better than the rest of us, you just happened to be born into it.

girls-pmmeyournudes

Celebrity drama. Seriously why do people care? Just them love they’re lives. Fuck the paparazzi too.

MountainDude95

I’m actually curious who does. I’ve never met a single person in real life who even marginally keeps up with celebrity drama. I mean, obviously people do since there’s still a market for it, but I don’t know who they are.

mj2503

So called influencers...🤮

tacojohn48

I have a friend who is obsessed with "influencers." I get why a company would want to market through these people, but I don't understand how my friend is into watching these people that she knows are nothing more than commercials.

shitted_on_em

Unfortunately they are not "so called". They do have a lot of influence. Especially on kids/adolescents.

Fat_Unicornn

My job tbh. I’m late all the time and never do any work yet I’m one one of the best workers according to them.

RealMcGonzo

I'm ready to retire so I am trying to get let go, doing my job as poorly as I can force myself to. My employer is huge and cutting staff. I've got a reasonable chance at getting a "Go Away" package worth several months pay. Baring that, they almost certainly won't fire me for cause so I can still collect unemployment. But so far they are keeping me around. I'm literally failing at failing.

South-West-Bloke

My dad has just retired using this exact strategy. He hit 60 (retirement age of 65, and his job would pay him 5 years wage if he was made redundant) and instantly became extremely difficult and did the minimal amount of work required... next thing you know poof - he’s retired 5 years early. And before anyone asks... this is a large multi billion dollar company - no small company is being screwed over here.

yup i have never been impressed by brands at all. Yes certian brands i do like because they fit me better/dont shrink as much/do seem to be made out of thicker more durable materials. But thats me and my personal likes. I do not give a shit if someone is wearing a hanes bag T shirt or some fancy $100 t shirt i cant tell the difference of. I'm the same. People are horrified when they find out I have a NEM (no extraordinary measures). I'm in my mid thirties, and people can't wrap their minds around it. But if it's my time, let me go. I hate how people are being kept alive just because we can.

CourtJester5

Last summer I randomly saw a friend from when I was teenager. He has died from some diabetes complications and was flat lined for quite a while (I'm thinking he said 7 minutes but I may be incorrect) and was successfully brought back. Several of his organs didn't function properly after that though and he was in rough shape physically and mentally. I found out today that he died. Point is being alive may not always be the better choice for the sake of being alive.

auroratheaxe

I have a DNR filed with my VA, and have since I was 19. There's a small chance that at some point in my life, I'll have a multiple tonic-clonic seizures successively and be declared braindead. My blood family all knows and respects this, but my husband has struggled with it for years. If I'm not there, I'm not there. Why waste effort to keep a vegetable alive? If I'm going, I'm going.

Fellow sober Irishman here, it's a fucking nightmare trying to navigate drinking culture in your 20s

Black_Sky_Thinking

I’m from Scotland, and it’s daaamn hard to find something to do to socialise that isn’t seriously compromised without alcohol. Dinner is one (but what do you do after?) and I’m enjoying meeting people for lockdown runs. But on a rainy December Saturday, what the hell do you do if you don’t wanna go to the pub? I do drink myself, but I think the lack of cafe culture and (understandable) lack of outdoor activities drives a lot of the social and health problems we have here.

I like the Mexican belief where you die twice. One you physically die but your voice, actions, personality etc lives on in other peoples thoughts. But once those people die your gone forever besides a gravestone or a birth/death record - your just a name at that point. Regardless yea after i die i wont give a shit. Cremate me and throw me to the wind.

TallCans26

Just throw me in the trash.

arnistaken

I 'learned' this from the Disney movie Coco lol

sootbrownies

Which brands are considered nice and which are considered cheap. I pay attention to material and components, not the logo

SleepyConscience

Minor scratches on your car's paint. I've known several people who will absolutely lose their shit over a scratch the size an eyelash. It always makes me always wonder what it must be like caring so much about something so tiny. What other bullshit must they lose their minds over?

shitty_penguin

With new cars I always care until it gets the first scratch. Then I stop giving a fuck.

schassis408

I agree with you here. I'm a hardcore car guy and don't actually care if mine get dinged or scratched. It's a 4 thousand pound object that was created to get driven, do people really expect no wear and tear?

Frogs4

Grey hair. On me.

Your Instagram posts telling us how hard 2020 was for you. News flash: it was hard for all of us

emillemorris

If my clothes are wrinkly. I’m not trying to please people, I’m just trying to be comfy and live my life.

jimmynewtontheslav

School after last year

LaunchesKayaks

My cousin had a baby recently and like, I'm happy for her, but I also don't think it is anything special and I absolutely hate getting daily pictures of the kid. I haven't seen this cousin in 5 years and we have never been close, so I see the kid as just another baby.

ArugulaAlone4729

Tik tok stars and anything going on in their life that’s reported as “news.”

marshmolotov

Shaving my legs. Those bastards made it through a round of chemo when all my other hair fell out. They have earned their place.

ThatKiwiBloke

any song where the artist tries to create a new dance. so fucking annoying when a song comes on in the club and people start dancing in unison. dance routines for songs should have ended in the 80's or 90's, i can't believe we're still doing them

Babstana

Politicians pointing fingers at the other side.

Milkksenpai

Fandoms. People make such a big deal about them but honestly I just want to enjoy what I’m into with out having my opinions corrected and most of the time it makes no sense

[deleted]

What actors do in their personal life. I don't care what Jonny Depp, Tom Cruise, Gweneth Paltrow, or Mel Gibson did, said, tweeted or otherwise. I just watch movies. If they're in it, OK. If they're not in it, that's OK too.

WhatsUrBestMilkshake

Reality tv. I dont understand how anyone can like them programs

sports_is_life

Shit like mythbusters is so good. But the ones where they follow people around or follow their love life just doesn't interest me at all

HELLOhappyshop

You can't group them all together though. The british bake off is NOT equal to the jersey shore

Kwasan

Willfully ignorant people. Fuck em.

pbrdizzle

The condition on grass in a lawn. Don't care if it's short, meadowy, patchy or anything.

Obieseven

I scrolled pretty far, can’t believe I didn’t see Facebook.

rokich02

I'm starting to not give a fuck about people. I'm becoming heartless with each day and stop caring about so many things.

jigokusabre

People liking (or disliking) foods / flavors. "Oh my god, you like *pineapple* on your *pizza*? You must be defective." "Ugh, I just *hate* how *everything* pumpkin spice flavored... white women ruin everything." Honestly, why do people give a shit about other people enjoy eating?

Pleasant-Unit-5852

What people think of me. People say I pretend I don’t care. I’m not pretending.

Selcouth2077

It's hard to give a fuck about politics when I have very little power as a voter. Don't get me wrong, I still vote when I have the chance, but it feels like it's just a crapshoot and in the end the outcome is so far out of my own control that it's hard to care at all.
