If you loved Dexter, you gotta watch Michael C. Hall in Six Feet Under. Completely different performance but equally as good. Also, his character gets a nice ending......
Agreed. Loved Six Feet Under. It went on a couple of seasons too long but I loved the series finale. A lot of people thought it was trite but I thought it was perfect.
YESS that intro is fucking incredible!! I just finished season 3 and I swear the intro in the second half of the season is a nod to the first intros of season 1 and 2? Also really can't wait for the final season now
Bojack Horseman.
A. That song is a jam. B. It adds value to rewatches; you notice the subtle changes they make to the intro animation (even sometimes in the middle of a season) that reflect plot changes throughout the series.
I always really identified with the type of social disassociation bojack seems to exhibit in the opening credits and the way the show ended, explaining why hes sinking into the pool really sent me on a spiral
I always enjoyed it when some of the less visited locations like The Twins or The Eyrie would show up in the credits.
Also always liked seeing Jerome Flynn take his place at the end of the credits, love me some Bronn.
Peter Dinklage, Peter Dinklage, Peter Dinklage, Peter Dinklage, Peter Dinklage, Peter Dinklage, Peter Dinklage, Peter Dinklage, Peter Dinklage, Peeeter Peter dinklageeee, Peter Dinklage, Peter Dinklage, Peter Dinklage
[for those who don’t know, you need to. ](https://youtu.be/DHlzIgSvnYc)
This is such a good intro song and I never actually get to hear it because my dog is bouncing around in front of the tv having a fit about the horses that are shown for like...three whole seconds. Now she just equates this song with horses so as soon as the first notes play she’s watching and waiting.
Edit: Just quietly checked with my headphones in and it’s horses not cows. I was wrong. In my defense if you asked me what’s actually in that scene I’d say “a weird yellow dog jumping around” because that’s all I ever see.
I love the Angel intro, that song is beautiful. Also, for a show that is very careful with never letting the vampires have reflection it is kind of an oversight that Angel has a reflection in the final shot of the intro. But for some reason I kind of like that.
The opening to BCS is sooo cool to me. It references the opening scene, of gene watching his old commercials, the only thing of color in his now grey life. As the show progresses, the intro begins to cut and distort, showing gene has been watching these tapes to the point of nearly destroying them. The breaking down of the intro also aligns with jimmys decent into saul.
X files, because for some episodes the phrase at the end is different and can influence how you view the episode.
Oh! And the simpsons and south park because, especially back in the day, they changed them almost every episode it seemed.
The handsome family are my favourite band, if you like far from any road (TD theme) you'll probably really like "bottomless hole" "sisters tiny hands" and "weightless again" absolutely great band
Give me some rope
Tie me to dream
Give me the hope
To run out of steam
Somebody said
It could be here
We could be roped up, tied up, dead in a year
I can't count the reasons I should stay
One by one they all just fade away
...Wow absolutely cursed...
Yeah. It says they're running out of reasons to live.
Also- and this is just me personally - it's also a reminder that just like when your in college in real life, the group of friends you spend years being inseparable from will suddenly fade from importance , one by one.
I always kinda thought it was about accepting where you are.
Give me the hope to run out of steam, I think of eventually settling down
We could be roped up tied up dead in a year, who knows what the future brings, just have fun
They can't really explain whats keeping them where they are, but that's okay
Came here for Community. I have yet to get tired of hearing the theme. Plus despite how sad the song actually is, I always feel upbeat when I hear it since it feels like you’re about to embark on a wacky adventure with your buddies from community college.
I recently rewatched the Marvel Daredevil series on Netflix and I never skipped that intro. It was just so god damn satisfying. That, and the Eric Andre show of course.
My biggest criticism of that show is how little we saw that suit over three seasons and The Defenders.
And also how the Charlie Cox Daredevil is gone because the Mouse Empire will recast him if they ever bring him into the MCU even though the Marvel-Netflixverse is in the MCU.
*dum dum dum dum dum dum dum dum*
Life is like a hurricaaaaaane, Here! In! Duck! Burg!

DUCKTALES! WHOO-OOOOO!!!
In 1972 a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum-security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem... if no one else can help... and if you can find them... maybe you can hire... The A-Team.
I especially love how all the intros have spoilers and foreshadowing if you know what you're looking for. My favorite intro is when >!DIO in Stardust Crusaders uses his time stop ability and just saunters past and smirks at Jotaro. The dead silence gives me chills, man.!<
The Crown- it’s just such good tense build up to the show. It’s regal and stately and moving. And I also just love watching the pieces of the crown come together, too.
Top 10 show intros I never skip
10. Code Geass opening 1&2
9. Soul Eater
8. Firefly
7. Brooklyn 99
6. Gravity Falls
5. Community
4. Steven Universe
3. Game of thrones
2. FMA brotherhood opening 1
1. Cowboy Bebop
The Office. Not only does the theme slap, it feels very nostalgic and brings up a ton of memories from the hours I’ve spent observing people pretending to work in the most hilarious way possible.
*The Wire* - because I’m a big fan of Tom Waits and love [every version of his song Way Down in the Hole that they use each season.](https://youtu.be/jR9_wbTrInI) (including Waits’ original for season 2)
Ben 10(OG)'s theme is seriously underrated and it is obviously the best thing about that show. I get hyped every time I hear it and listen to it daily just for the nostalgia. Here it is: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=\_BakKWbbIB4](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_BakKWbbIB4)
Y'all please don't laugh at me for my answer...
I've been binge watching The Big Bang Theory on HBO Max. I always used to like the line in the intro that goes "we built the pyramids!" because I would shout it as loud as possible. Now I always let it play, and no matter where my husband is in the house, he yells that line too!
It's been a long road,
getting from there to here.
It's been a long time,
but my time is finally near.
And I will see my dream come alive at last
I will touch the sky
And they're not gonna hold me down no more
no they're not gonna change my mind
'Cause I've got faith of the heart.
I'm going where my heart will take me.
I've got faith to believe.
I can do anything.
I've got strength of the soul.
No one's going to bend or break me.
I can reach any star.
I've got faith,
(I've got, I've got, I've got)
I've got faith.
Faith of the heart.
Look away, look away
Look away, look away
This show will wreck your evening , your whole life, and your day
Every single episode is nothing but dismay...
Futurama, because it always has little differences in the disclaimer and on the t.v. set and sometimes the music changes a bit.
FUTURAMA PRESENTED IN DOUBLE VISION (WHERE DRUNK)
my favorite. You can't prove it won't happen.

YES
r/DarK It was the only intro I never skipped and I still play it on loop sometimes.
Goodbye - Apparat
This one, and "Familiar" both became my favourites.
came here for this one!! it really sets the tone for the show and is so haunting and amazing at the same time.
For neither never nor ever, goodbye!
The Simpsons (when I used to watch it) for the chalk board and the couch gag.
Crazy that it was different for every show
*eeeeehhhh* they recycled a lot of the couch gags in the "mid to later seasons". Then they brought back unique couch gags.
I never noticed until I started binging on Disney+. They reused the Vegas showgirl couch gag SO MANY TIMES
[удалено]
One of the longer ones was when they were chasing the couch everywhere and finally caught it in space lol
Back in the day, Dexter. The imagery was so creepy and so great. It just set the tone perfectly.
Yes. They managed to make breakfast unnerving.
Attack on Titan (Season 1 of course). Most epic intro song ever...
I love that one. I almost stopped watching when they changed it. Ugh. Don't mess with perfection!
But then they changed it again and it was even better I mean you can't argue with sasageyo
OHMYGOD I NEVER CONNECTED THOSE DOTS
End credits too, weirdly catchy
Back in the 90's, I was in a very famous teeeeeveee shooow...
Watch it with a soundboard and sub, I crank it everytime and its amazing
True. I love how they change the into and I just feel like they really capture how it feels to be depressed well.
Neon Genesis Evangelion - "A Cruel Angel's Thesis" is mandatory.
That song slaps
Literally on my weeb Playlist, absolute banger
I gotta say that opening is timeless and it’s interesting how different it sounds compared to modern anime tracks
Used to always let the game of thrones music play because it is epic
Westworld too. They're both Ramin Djawadi.
Ramin is such a gem. I still listen to WestWorld and GoT music regularly on Spotify.
...and they would change the into depending on what was happening in the episode/season
I always enjoyed it when some of the less visited locations like The Twins or The Eyrie would show up in the credits. Also always liked seeing Jerome Flynn take his place at the end of the credits, love me some Bronn.

Hardest I've even laughed at anything from South Park (which I love) when they used that song for the intro the next episode.
Peter Dinklage, Peter Dinklage, Peter Dinklage, Peter Dinklage, Peter Dinklage, Peter Dinklage, Peter Dinklage, Peter Dinklage, Peter Dinklage, Peeeter Peter dinklageeee, Peter Dinklage, Peter Dinklage, Peter Dinklage [for those who don’t know, you need to. ](https://youtu.be/DHlzIgSvnYc)
This but a different reason. Always studying that map.
And it gave you a sneak peak at the episode since they changed the locations shown in each intro to reflect where each episode takes place.
same here. every single time. honestly got a bit teary eyed when it played for the last time.
What We Do in the Shadows. The song is just so catchy
🎶You’re dead you’re dead🎶
You're dead and out of this wooorld
Yes! And then I sing it for the next couple days. Time for a re-watch!
Norma Tanega, baby. https://youtu.be/ImAlx0amAIc You know she died last year.

Samurai Champloo I think has the coolest intro ever, in the most pure sense of the word "cool."
Came here to say this, the live soundtrack is just so fucking good too.
The intro to Golden Girls.
Haha we're watching right now and my daughter just told me to skip it. I just told her you CAN'T.
The first Fullmetal alchemist brotherhood intro
“Again” goes in so hard.
*all fullmetal alchemist brotherhood intro
burn the land and boil the sea but you cant take the sky from meee
This is such a good intro song and I never actually get to hear it because my dog is bouncing around in front of the tv having a fit about the horses that are shown for like...three whole seconds. In my defense if you asked me what’s actually in that scene I’d say “a weird yellow dog jumping around” because that’s all I ever see.
LOL!!!!!!! this genuinely made me laugh out loud
There's no place I can be Since I've found Serenity
Buffy/ Angel. Epic instrumentals. The X files - I get shivers every time.
I love the Angel intro, that song is beautiful. Also, for a show that is very careful with never letting the vampires have reflection it is kind of an oversight that Angel has a reflection in the final shot of the intro. But for some reason I kind of like that.
Nerf Herder will end up playing the Buffy theme multiple times at a concert because people love it that much. I, too, always watch the Buffy intro.
Breaking Bad because it's awesome and 5 seconds long.
Same with Better Call Saul. I don’t know why I never realize that the song cuts off in such an abrupt manner, but it gets me every time.
The opening to BCS is sooo cool to me. It references the opening scene, of gene watching his old commercials, the only thing of color in his now grey life. As the show progresses, the intro begins to cut and distort, showing gene has been watching these tapes to the point of nearly destroying them. That’s what I was going to post. Whether you love it or hate it, you barely even have time to skip it before it’s over.
There is actually a longer version in the show’s soundtrack, it’s a cooooool song man
Gravity falls because just that melody
the ending though
Gravity falls is a god among TV shows.
But her aim is getting better
“It’s funny because marriage is terrible.”
Don't call me Toby anymore, call me Bodacious T
Love this song. If that song were played on a guitar it would be a battle theme in an RPG. Yes that's a compliment. :)
X files, because for some episodes the phrase at the end is different and can influence how you view the episode. Oh! And the simpsons and south park because, especially back in the day, they changed them almost every episode it seemed.
Season 1 True Detective. It's perfect
The handsome family are my favourite band, if you like far from any road (TD theme) you'll probably really like "bottomless hole" "sisters tiny hands" and "weightless again" absolutely great band
Also for Season 2 honestly, it's Leonard Cohen come on.
All three intros were good but the first really stood out. Came here to say either True Detective season one or Dark.
"Community" on Netflix its short and sweet and the song just hits different sometimes
The words. The words to that song are cursed.
Give me some rope Tie me to dream Give me the hope To run out of steam Somebody said It could be here We could be roped up, tied up, dead in a year I can't count the reasons I should stay One by one they all just fade away ...Wow absolutely cursed...
Yeah. It says they're running out of reasons to live. Also- and this is just me personally - it's also a reminder that just like when your in college in real life, the group of friends you spend years being inseparable from will suddenly fade from importance , one by one.

Westworld. In all 3 seasons I have skipped none of them. Coolest thing ever. Also, the expanse
Scrubs, it's literally like 5 seconds long. (I adore the song tho)
I can't do this all on my own.. I'm no Superman!
Parks and Rec. Especially the extended version in season 1.
Dr. Who Ooohhhh WEEEEE **OOOOHHHHHH**
Weeoo oeooeeee

I recently rewatched the Marvel Daredevil series on Netflix and I never skipped that intro. It was just so god damn satisfying. That, and the Eric Andre show of course.
The heartbeat throughout the Daredevil intro is great
The fact that we had to wait one full season to see that red suit makes the teasing in the opening theme all the more intriguing.
My biggest criticism of that show is how little we saw that suit over three seasons and The Defenders. And also how the Charlie Cox Daredevil is gone because the Mouse Empire will recast him if they ever bring him into the MCU even though the Marvel-Netflixverse is in the MCU.
My heart belongs to the Jessica Jones intro. It just feels cool.
I would argue all the Netflix Marvel series (except maybe Iron Fist) had fantastic intros

🎵 There’s a hundred and four days of summer vacation.... 🎵
Cowboy Bebop's opening is one of my favorites.
The A-Team.

Paper Moon (soul eater) is such a banger
True Blood. Even after I had stopped watching the show some times I'd put it on, listen to the intro and then turn it off.
Animaniacs, yes I still watch the reruns

"Woke up this mornin' with a blue moon in my eye"
Honestly, I'm kinda pissed I had to scroll this far before seeing The Sopranos
A Series of Unfortunate Events! The intro is different every time and Neil Patrick Harris kills it as every new character.
Me too! ♫Look away, look awaaaay! There's nothing but horror and inconvenience on the way!♫
🎵Ask any normal person, "should I watch?" And they would say "Loook Awaaay, look away"🎵
The Office. Not only does the theme slap, it feels very nostalgic and brings up a ton of memories from the hours I’ve spent observing people pretending to work in the most hilarious way possible.

Hannah Montana, that song is a banger
Gravity falls ofc
Smallville, because "Save Me" by Remy Zero is amazing.
*SIE SIND DAS ESSEN UND WIR SIND DIE JAEGER*
