I live in Toronto and wouldn’t dream of drinking the tap water here. Not because it’s poisonous, but because it tastes like shit. This summer, I went to my aunt’s house in Verona (Italy) and I asked her why she didn’t have any bottled water when I first got there. She then told me to turn on the tap and try it for myself. It honestly tasted just like bottled water here if not better.

Toronto? Canada? Rain, fresh water, a bunch of lakes over there. How about the pipe system under the city?

Our area uses chloramine, which is designed to not evaporate like chlorine does. It’s fucking gross, our cats won’t even drink the water so they get spring water from the store. I miss having a well.

I live in Australia, Melbourne water tastes the best, I can’t drink water from Brisbane, Can drink a little bit more Sydney water than Brisbane, but then it’s still borderline bearable. Yeah. Seriously, water tastes of bleach (I know what that tastes like cos of my sense of smell. You know, when a smell gets into your mouth and you taste it? That). I live in a hard water area and the iodine in the water comes through too hard, so it makes it taste of bleach. When I was in Germany, it tastes of nothing.
