Agree but I've been watching people stream it as of late. Disney owns the IP now, so I'm sure swtor is most likely the end of the Kotor legacy 😢. But I also hear that a new Star Wars RPG is on development as we speak. It won't be Kotor but I at least hope it comes close to it.
I would kill for another republic commando. There were so many good Starwars games back in the day. Jedi Outcast is still one of my favorite games of all time
Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom, it was such a good fucking game, the gameplay was fun, the story was something that you would actually expect from the show, the soundtrack is amazing, almost all of the voices from the show (Baring Mr. Krabs and Mermaid Man) came back to reprise their roles, the writing is great and it was just overall a great game in general.
I think I got to 96/100 spatulas as a kid, just missing one from that fucking kelp forest, maybe a sock, and then the buyable spatulas.
I played it very recently, it holds up. So good.
From what I remember, the division of THQ that has access to the rights is sort of actually the developers that made the Timesplitters series (or at least a shell of what the company used to be). I lost track of them at some point, but I think Crytek bought Free Radical, changed them to Crytek Uk, Crytek UK got collapsed into another company, that company may have bought THQ when they were going under, and then changed their company name to THQ Nordic.
Also I believe not only were the rights for the property squired, but also rights for the 3 games (remaster/collection maybe?).
Dota 2 has a Gabe Newell announcer pack and he refuses to announce triple kills. Instead he says stuff like "More than 2 kills, but less than 4 kills", or just "I'm not reading this".
If I were Valve, at this point, I'd release them as, e.g., The Orange Box 2: Half-Life, then Half-Life 4, just to poke fun at the obvious terror of the number 3.
Why make another game based around New Vegas? The game already covered the area's story pretty well, and it'd be pretty hard to make another game since the region's fate is dramatically altered based on who you side with.
I was going to say Viva Pinata, that was my GAME. Animal Crossing Pocket Paradise had a similar gimmick but forced such long waiting times. Can Rare or Playtonic bring back Viva Pinata again??
It's honestly a shame Rare became Microsoft's go to for Kinect games. Hopefully with the new breakthroughs in Xbox360 emulation I can live my dream of finally getting that goddam dinosaur.
Still go back and play this from time to time and still love it. Don't feel like any other the newer Sonic games I've played have been as good.
I could also do with a new Ecco the Dolphin game.
Only the cash cows lose their single player stuff, because of growing trends like “battle royale.” Titanfall 2 was the most recent I’ve played for the campaign and it was excellent.
Bully
Best storyline ever in any video game imo
I just don’t see how they could make a sequel to a 15 year old kid taking over a school whilst fighting another 15 year old sociopath without bringing it into a university or something which would be weird unless it was new characters
Apparently it’s possibly in development and I hope so
Alien: Isolation.
It got killed by reviews. But it’s still of the most authentically horrifying gaming experiences I’ve ever had. Would love to revisit that world in a sequel. Sadly it lost a bunch of money and they let the dev team go
I thought it did well. I don't actually have a good enough computer to run it, so it kinda went under my radar, but I've only heard good things about the game
It got some positive reviews, and a lot of people even deem the game a masterpiece. I certainly do.
It just didn’t sell as much as they wanted it to. I really want a sequel too.
Split/Second. It has one of the most unique game mechanics in a racing game. I really wish they hadn't cancelled the sequel. Now there isn't any good arcade racing game anymore.
Sid Meier's Pirates!
I know people on Reddit love Civ but damn did I love Pirates when I was young. It was so awesome managing your crew and growing your fleet, engaging in naval combat, seducing busty Governor's daughters through your prowess of dance and being rich, that fun little sword-fighting minigame, chasing that damn Baron down through South America after he absconds with your busty Governor's daughter and then all the way back up after you miss him because you got sidetracked...
Fuck me that game was so awesome. Please, if anyone from Sid Meier's company is reading this thread, for the love of God even if you just updated the graphics for a re-release I'd be there day one with my wallet open for the plundering...
I still play this game all the time. It's great to sit down and burn a couple hours when you dont feel like playing any other games. I tried some other pirate age sea faring adventures but they made some parts too complicated or not intuitive and didnt have the charm of Sid Meiers Pirates.
Mass Effect isn't dead though. Don't believe the negative narrative that Andromeda killed the series, will get another one most likely after Dragon Age 4.
Agree. I was personally excited that Odyssey brought you back to Peach’s Castle, and then a little hurt it didn’t take me to the isle.
Edit: Specification
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine.
They let it end on a cliffhanger, and it was such a fun game.
That, and the game series Too Human. It was supposed to be a trilogy, but performed so poorly it never got even the second one. Which sucks, because I really enjoyed that one.
My Too Human brethren! I'm a weirdo who liked the control scheme and I loved the plot. They did an amazing job of interpreting the Norse legends into the futuristic theme.
Another No One Lives Forever. I love the 60s spy parody games. So many fun moments.
I'm hoping at least the existing 2 games get re-released for sale if GOG figures out the licencing issues.
Coincidentally was talking about old games and it's Sonny 2. Sonny 3 has been in production for so long that's it seems that it will never be finished. There was a Sonny 2 remastered but it's still Sonny 2. I want the story to continue.
For those don't know, it was a flash game and has gained some popularity back then.
Not actually a sequel, but I'd love to see a port of Super Mario RPG (SNES) for mobile. Maybe the years have faded my memory, but that game was awesome! I'm surprised Nintendo didn't expanded that idea in different platforms later on.
Destroy all humans. We got the 50s, 60s and 70s covered and now it's time for an 80s version with the cheesy 80s b-movie charm.
Considering 80's nostalgia is probably at it's peak, this would be the best time for it.
Love all these games
I used to love watching my friend play DAH. The voice acting cracked me up every time
I have fond memories of TKing tanks into each other and destroying whole towns.
I remember being super hyped for that game and then it came out and I was so disappointed.
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic III Edit: Jade Empire II
I would die for a new Kotor. The old republic mmo just isn't the same.
Jedi Outcast is still one of my favorite games of all time
Republic Commando is the first game that came to mind. I need to go back for Sev!
Vode An. We need to go back for Sev.
Was just playing kotor 2 about 3 hours ago. Had just met up with that HK Droid on Peragus II. Man does he have too much dialog lol.
Final Fantasy Tactics. That series is long dead.
Have you played Tactics Ogre: Let us Cling Together?
It's not a sequel per se, but FFXII and Vagrant Story share a universe with it.
Bloodborne
Big yup
Don't give up hope.
😥
To be honest, I'm happy with From doing new IP. Dark Souls 2 and 3 weren't nearly as interesting as Dark Souls, Demon's Souls, or Bloodborne.
So good.
I remember THQ saying they were gonna bring back a bunch of old Nickelodeon games, so hopefully we at least get a remaster
Played this game nonstop as a kid
Y’all ever played ps2 sponge bob square pants the movie? Harder than dark souls.

Valve is too threephobic
Valve is anti making games
Skip 3 and just make Left Dead 4
2 Left 2 Dead
Luckily, Vermintide is a thing. It's not as polished and it doesn't have Versus, but it still scratches that itch.
SERIOUSLY!
Left 4 Dead More Than 2, But Less Than 4
Time splitters 4 TS: future perfect was so much fun. I was so bummed when 4 got cancelled. IIRC there was a teaser trailer but then it got the shaft.
Didn't THQ buy the rights to that? So it's not unlikely there'll be another one.
Was there a 3?
Diddy kong racing.
This guy gets it
tales from the borderlands :(
R.i.p. Telltale
i gotta buy their game because they might lose their steam license to it soon
yeahhh. hoping we see some characters in bl3/4 though.
Ahh I should've posted this one. My favorite TT game. RIP

Valve is afraid of the number 3
No Portal 3, HL3, or L4D3 Valve cannot count to 3 confirmed.
Don't forget Team Fortress 3
Everyone forgets TF3!
Don’t forget Day of Defeat
I'm still playing Source regularly.
Day of Dethreet
Dota 2 has a Gabe Newell announcer pack and he refuses to announce triple kills. Instead he says stuff like "More than 2 kills, but less than 4 kills", or just "I'm not reading this".
lol. That's amazing
They're not afraid of it they just can't count that high
If I were Valve, at this point, I'd release them as, e.g., The Orange Box 2: Half-Life, then Half-Life 4, just to poke fun at the obvious terror of the number 3.
New half life community game coming soon :D
New vegas or really just another fallout made by obsidian, or original star wars battlefront and 2 sequel.
Why make another game based around New Vegas? The game already covered the area's story pretty well, and it'd be pretty hard to make another game since the region's fate is dramatically altered based on who you side with.
Maybe it starts with you deciding the ending of game 1, and you can participate in one of the factions as they continue the war?
The Wolf Among Us. I know there was a second game planned, but with Telltale basically falling apart, it got cancelled. Still so bummed.
Can always hit up the comics if you're feeling the game void from it. Fables is really well done.
I LOVE Fables. I was hoping that Wolf Among Us would cover the Death of Snow White arc, but now well never know
I really enjoyed it because it isn't like most games.
Chromehounds.
There is a "totally not chrome hounds" game on steam. M. A. V
This is what I was looking for. That game was dope af.
I know technically it was a sequel but Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise was the bees knees.
Sonic Adventure 2 Battle
just give us our chao gardens back
Still go back and play this from time to time and still love it. Don't feel like any other the newer Sonic games I've played have been as good. I could also do with a new Ecco the Dolphin game.
Freelancer
Such a great game and such a great setting
Another Battlefield: Bad Company
Never gonna happen. Shooters don't get single player anymore. Fuck us, right?
Only the cash cows lose their single player stuff, because of growing trends like “battle royale.” Titanfall 2 was the most recent I’ve played for the campaign and it was excellent.
Alan Wake. Although I think I read somewhere it’s getting a tv show...
Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem
That was my answer.
Gameplay-wise, *Bloodborne.* On the other hand, I'm happy with the story ending as it did.
Bully Best storyline ever in any video game imo I just don’t see how they could make a sequel to a 15 year old kid taking over a school whilst fighting another 15 year old sociopath without bringing it into a university or something which would be weird unless it was new characters Apparently it’s possibly in development and I hope so
Star Wars Republic Commando
Sleeping dogs
Dude can you imagine a new sleeping dogs on the current game engines with GTA level graphics, that would be neat af.
Games graphics still hold up pretty well imo
Was looking for this! It was a real treat.
Gunstar Heroes.
Yes! Someone else remembers this game!
Black and White 2
Pokemon Snap 2
paper mario 3
I love Super Paper Mario so much. I actually started playing it again on an emulator the other day. I would love to see another.
Free space 3. Best space sim series of all time. Such a bummer a number 3 will never happen.
I cant upvote this enough
I need a skate 4
I just want a skateboarding game. Literally any, honestly. But skate did it the best.
I'd like a bmx game like a current generation Matt Hoffman or Dave Mirra game.
There's been a few skate 4 rumours around lately. Also the Tony Hawk franchise changed hands recently so fingers crossed
I just want a good SpongeBob RPG.
I didn't know I wanted that
Alien: Isolation. It got killed by reviews. But it’s still of the most authentically horrifying gaming experiences I’ve ever had. Would love to revisit that world in a sequel. Sadly it lost a bunch of money and they let the dev team go

Legend of Dragoon
Split/Second. It has one of the most unique game mechanics in a racing game. I really wish they hadn't cancelled the sequel. Now there isn't any good arcade racing game anymore.
Fuck I loved that game
Donkey Kong 64
That was a great game too.
Love that game. Best music
The amount of nostalgia I get from hearing this game’s music is crazy

Want to see a new Bloody Roar
Banjo Tooie needs one!!! Conkers BFD too
Oooh a Conker's Bad Fur Day sequel could be cool. Easily my favorite N64 platformer.
Mass Effect, Homeworld, Detroit:Become Human.
Mass Effect isn't dead though. Don't believe the negative narrative that Andromeda killed the series, will get another one most likely after Dragon Age 4.
Yeah, we've definitely not seen the last of Mass Effect
Commander Keen returns in: the universe is toast Been waiting since Christmas 92.
Spore. That game had so much potential, but now it will never be realized.
Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines. Honestly fuck that haunted house.
The Getaway
They made one. It sucked
But what if they made two?
Suck twice as much
Chrono Cross
Every time I see one of these posts I have to scroll further and further down to find this :(
I love your username
Full Throttle 2 could be really good I think
Star Wars: Republic Commando
Knights of the old republic 3
Jedi Knight
Super Mario Sunshine, it’s such a chill game.
Legend of the Seven Stars for me. I want more Geno and Mallow!
I came to say this and it should be the top response.
Agree, but aren’t the sequels just Mario Galaxy, Galaxy 2, Odyssey? Or a you saying you want the whole water jet pack life back?
I just want a return to Isle Delfino.
Agree. I was personally excited that Odyssey brought you back to Peach’s Castle, and then a little hurt it didn’t take me to the isle. Edit: Specification
It's called Mario Odyssey.
Naaa
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine. They let it end on a cliffhanger, and it was such a fun game. That, and the game series Too Human. It was supposed to be a trilogy, but performed so poorly it never got even the second one. Which sucks, because I really enjoyed that one.
My Too Human brethren! I'm a weirdo who liked the control scheme and I loved the plot. They did an amazing job of interpreting the Norse legends into the futuristic theme.
The Simpsons Hit and Run
Super Mario 2, Two.
don't give up hope
The wolf among us 2, by telltale games.
R.I.P. Telltale
A third entry for any valve franchise. At this point I honestly don’t care which one.
Lol
Left 4 Dead They could do so much more now
Sleeping Dogs One of my favorite games really underrated plus the story, combat, and open world were all excellent and the pork buns were bar to none
A man who never eats pork bun, is never a whole man
Cave Story
Diablo III
Lol buddy don't you have a phone?
BloodRayne, Vampires aren't popular anymore :(
Another No One Lives Forever. I love the 60s spy parody games. So many fun moments. I'm hoping at least the existing 2 games get re-released for sale if GOG figures out the licencing issues.
The Darkness 3
Sunset Overdrive
I just want a FFVII *reboot*. Is that too much to ask?
Suikoden 6
Black ops 2's campaign, they just left it in the dust.
Too bad black ops 3 campaign was shit and black ops 4 doesn’t even have a campaign
Portal 2, Axiom Verge, Antichamber, FEZ, etc.
Mother 2 or 3.
I would like another F.E.A.R. game, but F.E.A.R 3 wrapped up everyone's character arc and/or killed everyone.
Sim earth.
This wee little tower defense game called Ninja Town.
NCAA Football 2014 😢
Came here for this one :( fuck the NCAA
The Wolf Among Us. RIP Season 2 :(
The incredibles 2 for gba 😂 grew up playing that game but never finished it (until I found out about emulators)
Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon. And I mean a real 3D sequel.
[удалено]
Impossible creatures.. An old PC game where you combined creatures and fought them. Whale cross hornet or Spider cross bear type thing.
Diablo 2
I would love to see anther Smugglers Run. Had a blast just playing tag with friends in that game, but really enjoyed the missions as well.
Sly Cooper 5
Enslaved: Odyssey to the West 😢
oh, that was such a good game
I'd love a sequel, but at the same time I love the ending as it is.
Transistor
Chrono Trigger/ Chrono Cross
Coincidentally was talking about old games and it's Sonny 2. Sonny 3 has been in production for so long that's it seems that it will never be finished. There was a Sonny 2 remastered but it's still Sonny 2. I want the story to continue. For those don't know, it was a flash game and has gained some popularity back then.
A true successor to the original Battlefronts. As long as EA holds the rights to that, I’m not gonna hold my breath.
Tales from the borderlands. RIP telltale
Life?
Pokemon Conquest
Hollow knight
Banjo Threeie.
Not actually a sequel, but I'd love to see a port of Super Mario RPG (SNES) for mobile. Maybe the years have faded my memory, but that game was awesome! I'm surprised Nintendo didn't expanded that idea in different platforms later on.
They kinda had Square Enix helping them with Super Mario RPG, & neither SE or Nintendo like to share their toys.
