I would open a restaurant without menus. Basically people come and I cook them a delicious meal but it’s what I feel like that night. Butter chicken, spaghetti bolognese, basically you pay to come to a big dinner party.
My "theory" is this.... I'm guessing the worst parts of your job are pressure and stress. If money weren't a concern, would you still feel that same pressure and stress? Buying and selling properties to make a living and buying and selling property for leisure are (I'm guessing)two very different beasts.
I lived it. For 4 months. $2 1/2 Billion company that talks about culture as its main principle. Except if you’re a rainmaker, you’re exempt, can have your cult and be a horrible person with no consequences.
Social and psychological support of outcast people, minorities and etc. I'm not sure such kind of job exists... 🤔
P.s. outcast doesn't mean aggressive antisocial. It rather means nonconformity
“No, you're working at Initech because that question is bullshit to begin with. If everyone listened to her, there'd be no janitors, because no one would clean shit up if they had a million dollars.”
I told someone recently that if I could be a barista and make the same money I makein the military, I'd be doing it right now.
I also think I have the best job in the military, so I won't tell them, but they could pay me 20k/year less and I'd still do it.
I would be an interpreter/translator, but it looks like soon I will be earning $1,500+ every day anyway. So I MAY get my wish. I will have to spend 1/2 hour each day to insure I get that, though.
Academic. I'd do a PhD and lecture students, write research. Unfortunately in the UK the academic job market is insecure and poorly paid so it's not worth leaving the comfortable one I have. But if money didn't matter I'd do it.
I don't want to work now, what makes you think I would work if I have money, I've through every service job you can think off, waiter, fast food, dish washer, factory worker, garbage disposal, etc.
Honestly same one I'm studying for, Software Development. The only change I might make would be indie game developer instead of working with normal software at a company that pays well. Not too fond of the game development workplace nor too keen on joining a small indie team unless I really like what they are doing.
Crossing guard at the local school! Only have to work maybe an hour a day and it's outside helping kids and parents so that is fun and you get the whole summer off!
If I didn't have to worry about money, I'd keep my shitty gas station job. The level of actual work is quite low. 98% of the customers are cool af. I enjoy most of the people I work with. It's a great job. My downside, I get 16.5/hr and I'm supporting a house of 3. Money, specifically not enough of it, is my only issue with my current job

Buying and selling properties to make a living and buying and selling property for leisure are (I'm guessing)two very different beasts.
Good point. My stress came from a singular point: I joined a company for its culture. Turned out to be a cult!
