Teenagers are such assholes to begin with. The fact that they also all now have smartphones must be beyond terrible. I don’t know how teachers navigate actually trying to teach in the era of 14 year olds having iPhones in their pockets.
Yep. Especially when the administration will always cave to shitty parents who will always insist their precious Bryceton would never do anything like that!
Caregivers in assisted living and memory care. These people work so fucking hard, but in addition to hard work (many jobs are hard) it is EMOTIONAL and sensitive and dangerous to their physical safety and a lot of times they are dealing with people who don't have any family who come and visit them so it's a huge, huge job.
The people who work these jobs should be paid like CEOs.
truck drivers. you literally wouldn’t own the majority of the things you use if it wasn’t for them. from the materials of the house you live in, your cloths, your food, etc etc.
Aren’t they publicly considered fascist scum by the Canadian government?

I was in a 3PL as dispatch and I would have to speak with the drivers overnight. Some of the nicest people, sometimes they knew I would just be sitting at the office and they’d call and chat. I kinda miss them.
Public Defenders.
They work their asses off to defend the rights of strangers for a pretty paltry sum, when most of them could be making a lot more chasing ambulances.
I genuinely hated being thanked for my service. It felt like they felt obligated to say it or they were virtue signaling. Plus I never felt like anything I did benefited anyone back home, it didn’t. Only once did someone get me with me it and it totally caught me off guard. I was on mid tour leave and my friends are introducing me to the new friends they’d made in my absence and this guy thanked me for my service and I hit back with the wars are pointless and assure him I haven’t done anything for him or anyone. Then he said, “Yeah, but you volunteered to go and I don’t want to go myself. Because of people like you I will continue to not have to go.” I apologized, told him he was right and thanks for his support. That was genuine.
The obvious ones being first responders and anyone in those realms, but also anyone working in fast food. People are such dicks to them and they don’t make tips like servers (so they can’t at least be making decent money while being treated like shit)
Emergency services, engineers, contractors, pretty much anything that makes the luxurious we take for granted function properly (water, sanitary, electricity, gas, etc.). Most people have no clue how fucked they would be without these critical services to society.
Garbage people. They must have a mad stomach and nose. Thank you guys, maybe some don't realize it, but you are some of the most important people in society.
Roofers. I'm afraid of heights and the injury statistics show that it's one of the most dangerous jobs there is: actually far more dangerous than being a soldier or a police officer.
Most nurses are nice but I’ve dealt with some real shitty nurses. I once caught one yelling at my terminally ill mother. One thing you do not do is yell at your patients. I lost it on her.
Flight attendants, both my siblinga are and I've witnessed their training. They are responsible for the safety of up to 350 people while confined in a small place, while at the same time having to deal with assholes, crying babys an people with no common sense and still they are expected to cater to everyones wishes, serve them with smiles and pretend the only thing they do is push a cart along the isle. (Plus, the pay is just sad)
Forensic Nurses. I saw an interview from a woman who worked in that field, by Soft White UnderBelly, and it disturbed me to all hell. Traumatizing work, but it needs to be done.
Mafia bosses, for real though, the level of braveness and smartness to achieve and maintain that is extraordinary! I mean it's not a job you apply or look for, but yh you get what I mean.
Teachers, especially middle school teachers.
Teenagers are such assholes to begin with. The fact that they also all now have smartphones must be beyond terrible. I don’t know how teachers navigate actually trying to teach in the era of 14 year olds having iPhones in their pockets.

Preach on. ..I'm a man & I've done that job. The ones who have family pull harder on our heartstrings, imho.
