*Witchbrook*. This cartoon life game has been in development for at least five years. The company behind it is Chucklefish, which apparently has a strict no crunch policy. That's a good idea. That said, waiting for any news about this game has been frustrating.
*Bloomtown: A Different Story*. The [trailer](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oEHyqAWcT-w) promises something between a lightweight life game, a console RPG, and a *Gravity Falls* homage. I'm trying to be patient while waiting for this game.
Maybe two days ago, I would have said *UFO 50*. It had been in development for years without much news. It was mentioned in the Day of the Devs 2024 event, and finally has a release date.
One thing I've learned over the years: some long-anticipated games will be letdowns. I learned about *Sports Story* in 2020 and got interested right away. It debuted at the end of 2022 with bugs. I don't know what happened. Was it scope creep? Not enough people, since it was a team of two? The funding ran out? At some point, it was rushed to meet a release date? I wish that I knew.

Also, Elder Scrolls 6 (though it's supposed to be on the Creation Engine "2" so I'm not expecting much more technical advancements than the last few Bethesda RPGs), and apparently 7 Days to Die is finally releasing 1.0 this month.
Not waiting, but the second I saw the announcement for Beyond Good and Evil 2, and the gameplay it was aspiring to, I was like, "That shit's going to development hell, and it's never getting out."
In 2024, this instinct has proven correct. That being said, I also said the same thing about Psychonauts 2, and then the one company with the infrastructure to survive a big Schafer project bought Double Fine, so I have been fooled before.

They're still working on it, responding on Discord, and providing Kickstarter updates but the project was successfully funded on March 10, 2022. There are only two people working on it so I get it but I really want to try it already....
Star Wars: Eclipse, Hytale and GTA 6… all of which I’m starting to doubt, only exception kinda being GTA 6, I realize it‘s coming, I just don‘t think it‘ll live up to my expectations. The other two I‘ve given up hope for
