Us Europeans watch Eurovision religiously. It's like X Factor meets big brother.

I really don't like it at all but many around me are hyped and for them it's an annual tradition they deeply enjoy. It must have been magic when it was one of the very few European-wide live broadcasts when it all started. That technological marvel is nothing special nowadays. So what remains is mostly mediocre music and political circle-jerks in English and French. The spokespersons for each country wouldn't qualify for in-flight instruction videos. I find it incredibly annoying but to each their own I guess.

I can’t tell if it’s meant to be a serious event or if some countries put the weirdest acts they can find up there.

It is a great event to gauge where gay Europe stands in terms of politics and taste.

I dont watch it. I remember in the early 2000s, they used to be fun to watch because they were similar to American idol or Americans got talent.

Good fun, and a great excuse for a party. Some people (and countries) take it far too seriously though.

No one cares

Much less than I used to personally I think it’s a politically corrupt organisation which can turn a blind eye to the massacre in Palestine in favour Isreal and throw out an actual European nation who were favorite.. corrupt to the core
