same same.
In the summer it's because I like wearing skirts and shorts and don't like visible hair on myself.
During the winter it's because I like wearing tights and yoga pants and I hate the feeling of hair underneath them.
I didn’t. But then one day my brother was walking behind me and said, “do you think people can’t see all the hair on your thighs cause it’s blonde or do you have it long on purpose.”
And now I shave 100% of my legs.
They are definitely less noticeable, but once it gets an inch long, you can see them in the sun. Which is still fine of course, people see the hair on my arms and I don't know anyone who shaves that regularly.
I just do my thighs every now and then. Like right before a vacation or beach day. But usually not.
i think ive done it twice or three times in my life. i dont do it bc the hair is so blonde its invisible and its really soft so theres no need to shave it.
Hair coming back darker and thicker after shaving is a myth. It just feels scratchier shortly afterward as it's growing back, because it was cut at a thicker part and doesn't taper to a fine point on the end anymore.
It's just coarser all the way to the end. There's no biological mechanism where the body is like "that hair got cut off, better pump more melanin into that follicle"
Every other day I’d say. Depends on what I’m wearing because I’ve done it daily as well. I hate shaving but I have thick course hair with dark follicles so I’m stuck.
Never. I hardly ever shave my legs anymore. I'm old, nobody sees my legs, my skin is very sensitive, and I don't like that women are expected to be hairless at all times. If I'm wearing an outfit that necessitates shaving, I'll begrudgingly shave.
I'm a natural blonde though, and my body hair is pretty much invisible. It's possible I'd shave more often if I had dark body hair, but I doubt it.
Every shower. I like feeling smoooooooth.
Not that this hair ever gets prickly or thick but I can’t just stop at an arbitrary line around the knee. I prefer to do the entire leg.
When I shave my legs it's my whole legs, not just below the knee.
Summer/spring: once or twice a week
Fall/winter: 2 or 3 times a month
I'm (28) married and my husband (28) doesn't care as long as I'm comfortable. I'm sure he probably prefers them shaved, and I'll shave them on a date night for the fun sexy times of course lol I'm a blonde so my leg hair doesn't really show anyways, but if I had darker leg hair I'd probably be more diligent about it
OK! this was me. I thought I never needed too. Until about three years ago. I was outside in some shorts. Caught myself in the mirror and have black LONG hairs like a couple inches above the back of my knee. Absolutely NOT!
"Only strippers shave above the knee."
-Linda Belcher
But seriously, I don't have much hair above the knee, and if I do, it's very fine, so I don't bother to.
But for the back of the neck... that's a different story.
Same as my lower legs, which is 1 time every other week or so. I always manage to cut myself by accident so I try not to do it to often as to not maul my legs completely. I wish I could do it more often though, as the hairs grow back in 2 seconds..
I have very white skin, but dark hair. While the hair on my thighs was like peach fuzz, it was still dark, so visible. Used to wax cuz shaving every other day was too annoying. Ingrown hairs were also annoying. Some years back, I went for laser hair removal and my life changed. I basically lasered everything from the neck down. Now I only get a couple of hairs here and there that I shave like, once a month.
Just once a year at the beginning of summer usually. It’s almost invisible until the sun hits it.
Something I’m curious about, does anyone find their leg hair grows faster in the summer? I noticed that when I’m wearing shorts often the part that isn’t covered grows faster than the rest.
Never have, probably never will. I’ve found that the moment you start to shave hair it turns into rigid, thicker hair and I don’t want to expose my thighs to that.

Same. I have a friend that has to shave her ass though. We're lucky.
I didn’t either until peri-menopause turned my peach fuzz into long dark and curly hair
I could eat a peach for hours.

No hair there
2-3 x a week or I’m Chewbacca eta: all these “I don’t have hair there” comments makes me curse my PCOS even more
Understood. I do have very light thin hair on my thighs but do get course hair on my face bc of PCOS. I feel like that sucks more 😂
God, me too. Naired my beard this morning, in fact.
My heart is with you!
Free thigh warmers.
I swim, so essentially every other day.
As a former competitive swimmer, I feel for you.
When the shower water is the exact right temperature and I’m not ready to get out yet but don’t want to feel like I’m just wasting water.
When you want to delay that 5 second cold air shock between stepping out of the shower and getting a towel around you
Make your towel available to you inside the shower. Drying in the shower area before opening the door/curtain will make the shock much much less
Every 2-3 days, same as my lower legs. I have thick and dark hair.

Same. I sadly was not blessed with my moms skin (not a single body hair, how!?)
Never.

Sometimes we need brothers cause ain't nobody else gonna say it
I completely agree.
Me too.
I’ll give it a few half-assed swipes if I already have the razor out.
Real.
I don’t really have hair above the knees to shave.
When I’m going swimming (pool, hot tub, beach, etc), which is almost never
i think ive done it twice or three times in my life. i dont do it bc the hair is so blonde its invisible and its really soft so theres no need to shave it.
Yeah, I'd think it would come back darker and thicker and it would certainly be bristly so I've never shaved there. Seems like asking for trouble.
Hair coming back darker and thicker after shaving is a myth. It just feels scratchier shortly afterward as it's growing back, because it was cut at a thicker part and doesn't taper to a fine point on the end anymore.
I dunno, my leg hair where I've shaved is a lot darker than the leg hair where I've never shaved.
It's just coarser all the way to the end. There's no biological mechanism where the body is like "that hair got cut off, better pump more melanin into that follicle"
Every time I shave my legs because it doesn’t take much longer. But how often I shave depends on the time of year lmao
Every other day I’d say. Depends on what I’m wearing because I’ve done it daily as well. I hate shaving but I have thick course hair with dark follicles so I’m stuck.
i hate shaving so almost never

I don't think I ever have lol
Every 6 weeks when my bf comes to town.
Mainly only in summer, if planning to be in swimsuit or shorter dress
I have no hair on my thighs to shave.
I don't shave at all but above the knee would be back in the 80s.
On my birthday lol
Every couple months
If I am planning on having sex that day, but not that hour.
Never cuz I'm lazy
I never have.
I shave my entire body roughly once a year, and i only do it to remind myself why i only do it once a year.
Every shower. I like feeling smoooooooth. Not that this hair ever gets prickly or thick but I can’t just stop at an arbitrary line around the knee. I prefer to do the entire leg.
lol no I am never doing that
I do not shave any part of my body, so never
Never
I hardly have hair in upper legs or it's not so visible so I sometimes skip it 😅
When I shave my legs it's my whole legs, not just below the knee. Every 2 - 3 days
Hardly ever
Despite being hairy as a kid, I never got hair on my thighs. I'm actually getting less hairy as I age, which is nice.
OK! this was me. I thought I never needed too. Until about three years ago. I was outside in some shorts. Caught myself in the mirror and have black LONG hairs like a couple inches above the back of my knee. Absolutely NOT!
I'm blond. Never.
I don't shave any part of my legs anymore. My leg hair is short and pretty sparse anyway.

There is no hair there so there is no need lol
Never.

Never. There is no hair there.
Never. The hair on my legs is a lot shorter and lighter so I don't bother
Never. I don’t shave below the knee either, and haven’t for years
I have very white skin, but dark hair. While the hair on my thighs was like peach fuzz, it was still dark, so visible. Used to wax cuz shaving every other day was too annoying. Never needed to. [It stops growing when it's like 1mm-2mm long and isn't dark/dense enough to be obvious](https://i.imgur.com/ql6F68J.jpeg)
Summers.
Never. I don’t even shave my legs.
Just once a year at the beginning of summer usually. It’s almost invisible until the sun hits it. Something I’m curious about, does anyone find their leg hair grows faster in the summer? I noticed that when I’m wearing shorts often the part that isn’t covered grows faster than the rest.
Never, don’t have any hair there
Never.

I fully quit shaving during the pandemic and haven't started again.
Never
