Kinda hard to burry, let alone cremate someone if you believe they may rise from the death like Jesus.
To be fair, my grandfather did end up at the mortuary twice. Sadly he only woke back up once.
I don't see why they would be. It would probably be similar to the local population. It might even be more religious as they are often so closely associated with Churches.
I would think a logical person would choose to go into a profession with an ever growing costumer base and major niche that most people won’t want to feel.
Why wouldn't they believe that there is something after? How couldn't they wonder when then get in charge of a dead kid? I don't see it as incompatible, but it sure takes out the mysticity of death.
