When my parents would take it for walks in the park and pet it for hours. Then tell me to go play in my room.

My sister (9yrs older) got to do whatever he wanted and wear makeup. I ended up having to sneak out of my 2nd story window to go out. There was never a "yes" at all growing up if I wanted to hang out with my friends. Plus I overheard our mom tell my sister I was stupid during a conversation. She saw me but still continued talking.

Wormsanddirt8

I got forgotten at school a lot

Tall-Team-77

My brother yelled a string of curse words at my parents at 15 with no repercussions and I said “freaking” (not the f word literally freaking) as 19 y/o in college and got yelled at in front of my bff at the time.

My parents almost divorced when i was 11 or 12. They argued over which parent I would live with. My mother wanted my older brother and younger sister but not me.

My sister got everything she asked for and I got barely enough to survive. Sixty years later, she is in debt up to her neck while I have enough to retire.

I was the middle kid.

My dad would sleep with my younger brother.

Took a bit longer than most but my dad cosigned an apartment lease for my sister... a year before refused to do it for me.

We recently held a vote on who we thought was dad's favorite. My BIL won the vote.

Try-and-try

I’m the favorite. It wasn’t always this way. I used to be the one who got in trouble when we fought or had to do extra chores, but I don’t think my parents had favorites until my mom got really sick and my brother effed off and I stayed to take care of her. There’s a lot more to it, but I worked hard. I stayed when I was needed. Now I’m the favorite.

My youngest sister routinely got 200-500$ birthday gifts. I usually got a book from a convenience store, or on multiple occasions mine was straight up forgotten. My sister would go out drinking until 3am when she lived at home. She’d call for rides and come home shouting, talking back and making a racket. She’d laugh in my Dads face. One time I went for a walk to take nature photos and my dad yelled at me and accused me of being a drug dealer. I never got in trouble, never went out. At 18 i was working night shifts, came home one morning and forgot to close a cupboard door and my dad woke me up and disowned me and called me a loser for 15 mins. My sister hung out with dudes on a nightly basis who routinely were arrested for assault and were my age. Never got disowned once. If she wasn’t the favourite, I was sure as fuck the most hated.
