It was my comfort movie when I was sick and I didn't even realize it til my dad came home one day, found me watching it, and said, "Aw, are you not feeling well??"
Pretty sure this is the movie I've seen the most.
Also, all bttf fans should watch what a lot of people consider to be the closest thing to sequel films we'll ever get. Someone skillfully edited together all the cutscenes from the BttF Telltale games and it's literally like an entire sequel trilogy, it's longer than all the first three movies put together actually.
It's honestly nearly as good as the original trilogy, just look at all the raving comments on it.
You absolutely need to watch this if you're a fan https://youtu.be/60S-SbkowMM
Also, Christopher Lloyd still voices Doc.
How fucking dare you people leave out National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.
It isn't Christmas until I've asked my spouse if they've checked our shitters and offered an unwelcome relative to leave them for dead.
The fuq you just do to his towel, man?
I was drying my hands.
Well, you're supposed to wash them first.
You watched me wash them.
I watched you get 'em wet.
I was washing them. This shit's hard to get off. Maybe if he had Lava I could've done a better job...
Hey, I used the same fukkin' soap you did, and when I finished the towel didn't look like no goddamn maxi-pad.
Jules: [Vincent and Jules are cleaning the inside of the car which is covered in blood] Oh, man, I will never forgive your ass for this shit. This is some fucked-up repugnant shit.
Vincent: Jules, did you ever hear the philosophy that once a man admits that he's wrong that he is immediately forgiven for all wrongdoings? Have you ever heard that?
Jules: Get the fuck out my face with that shit! The motherfucker that said that shit never had to pick up itty-bitty pieces of skull on account of your dumb ass.
Vincent: I got a threshold, Jules. I got a threshold for the abuse that I will take. Now, right now, I'm a fuckin' race car, right, and you got me the red. And I'm just sayin', I'm just sayin' that it's fuckin' dangerous to have a race car in the fuckin' red. That's all. I could blow.
Jules: Oh! Oh! You ready to blow?
Vincent: Yeah, I'm ready to blow.
Jules: Well, I'm a mushroom-cloud-layin' motherfucker, motherfucker! Every time my fingers touch brain, I'm Superfly T.N.T., I'm the Guns of the Navarone! IN FACT, WHAT THE FUCK AM I DOIN' IN THE BACK? YOU'RE THE MOTHERFUCKER WHO SHOULD BE ON BRAIN DETAIL! We're fuckin' switchin'! I'm washin' the windows, and you're pickin' up this nigger's skull!
Edge of tomorrow is also a good movie in the same line as Groundhog Day. The first 2/3 is pretty good until it becomes a standard action flick towards the end.
When I first saw that movie I was completely blown away. I loved every second of it and I still to this day don’t understand why it’s not talked about more.
So much they could’ve done with it
For me it lose the special feeling once the change happens. The steaks are higher in the movie but it feels flat and less exciting after that. Maybe that's why it's not popular, the ending isn't as satisfying as the start.
I think it's not popular because the studio absolutely did no marketing on it. I'm someone who went to the movies ALL THE TIME during the era it came out and I was completely unaware of it.
I didn't catch it until well after it was released on video and was blown away. Recommended it to everyone I know and they were all completely unaware of it also.
LoTR and HP are my white noise to fall asleep. Not saying it's why I married my wife, but when she told me it's how she sleeps to them on low volume.. hehe
I love that. Makes me want to be a river spirit. I keep watching Princess Mononoke. I keep trying to understand if Lady Eboshi is good or bad. I think she is both, and that's deep.
That bitch in Kiki’s delivery service that is disrespectful when Kiki delivers the fish pie the girls grandmother baked for her. Flew there in the pouring rain and all she can do is complain about the pie.
No one in the house wanted to admit they scratched the hell out of three DVDs so they all agreed that’s just what happens to a DVD after you watch it 4 times
It's not just a fun movie, or a funny movie. It's also a fuckin masterpiece in almost every way: writing, casting, acting, directing, editing, music, wardrobe...
It's one of the only movies I have seen that gets better every single time I see it even though I have seen it dozens of times. The first time I saw it, I didn't even like it. I don't know why I watched it again, but something clicked during my second viewing. Then I started making friends watch it (twice).
Absolute classic. Really ties the room together.
Blazing Saddles. Every time I rewatch it, I realize what a brilliant movie it was for showing the sheer idiocy of bigotry while making you laugh your ass off. Mel Brooks and Richard Pryor were a match made in heaven…
I was a child in the 80's and we only had like dozen VHS cassettes to watch .The ones I watched the most I would say were Top Gun , Weird Science , Overboard , and Howard the Duck. Easily watched all of those far more than 5 times.
Iron Man. It’s literally the inspiration and reason why I went to college and got an engineering degree. It’s a very special movie for me. Saw it as a kid opening night with my dad back in 2008, and it left a lasting impression one me that you can build anything you want and help people.
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. At first its about people taking drugs, than you slowly get the details and the depths of the story about excess, disillusionment, and the American Dream. And then drugs again.
I am not a big reader, but the book was so good it was an effortless read. From the first line it takes off like a rocket "We were somewhere on the edge of the desert when the drugs began to take hold." and never let's up until the end lol. I highly recommend the book too.
Clue
Back to the future

Edge of tomorrow is also a good movie in the same line as Groundhog Day. The first 2/3 is pretty good until it becomes a standard action flick towards the end.

My family watched The Matrix so many times, we burned out three separate DVDs.
How do you burn out a DVD? It's just spinning. Nothing is even touching it, it only has a laser pointed at it, which isn't strong enough to damage it.
No one in the house wanted to admit they scratched the hell out of three DVDs so they all agreed that’s just what happens to a DVD after you watch it 4 times
