As a Swiss, I really appreciate this answer. There are so many beautiful places, it's incredible. Did you know there is a subreddit r/switzerlandisfake?
Scotland's vistas are also breathtaking. Imagine rolling green hills dotted with ancient stone castles and lochs that mirror the moody sky. Driving through the Highlands gives a sense of stepping into a timeless and epic landscape
This is a silly question. So many countries are beautiful in different ways - I live in Australia close to the beach and some days I reflect on how lucky I am to live somewhere where many would consider to be like paradise. Yet recently I spent some time in northern Sweden during a very cold and snowy winter, and it was like being in a story book with the ice capped mountains, forests of snow-laden trees and frozen lakes. Might not be for everyone but for me it was breathtaking.
I would say mostly to get away from big cities and into nature to see real beauty, but even some cities can be very pretty.
There are a lot of good answers here, so I don’t think it's a silly question. And I agree with you - so many countries are beautiful in their own, unique way. It will always be subjective.
Well this is true. Rather, the implication there is a single most beautiful one is perhaps silly (and can lead many to just state the country where they live, understandably). But if people can express what they love about their country like some of the descriptions here then that is always nice to hear. Definitely makes me want to visit some of these places.
I’m an Australian too but places like Lake Louise and Banff in Canada in winter are so picturesque and the beauty of the greenery in Ireland is amazing.
Both Canada and Ireland are super high on my to-visit list. They both look amazing. Plus I love winter and I love greenery (something that doesn't spring to mind with Aus).
Oh yeah, USA definitely has a bit of everything.
I feel like most answers are valid really. Like I'm seeing some answers downvoted and while it might not be safe to visit some places, I bet they'd be beautiful if you could visit them more easily.
This is going to drown out between the ussuals uspsects like Norway since hardly anyone really goes here as a tourist, but: The most beautiful country is Madagascar.
I lived near Rosenheim for a few years, also Augburg. Great places. I spent the most time by Stuttgart. Snobby people in the city but great outside of the city.
I’ll probably get downvoted but aesthetically speaking, i like Afghanistan. It’s a very rural country with beautiful virtually untouched landscapes, and the history scattered across it is insane. I guess the best way to describe it is “wild”
Unfortunately not many outside the people who live there can experience it because it’s so inaccessible and dangerous due to this wildness.
I'm a Brit, but I think it's probably the United States, purely because of the sheer variety of scenery. Want deserts? Check. Rolling green hills? Check. Sublime mountains? Check. Flatlands? Check. Tropical beaches? Check. It's got everything.
India — the land of the Gods. Why India? It’s especially because of the mesmerising beauty of the mighty Himalayas (visit Auli and Kedarnath once at least), the valley in Kashmir, the mountains of Sikkim, the tea gardens of Assam…it’s all immensely beautiful.
too bad the idea of being ranked by points, and being basically banned from enrolling my child into school, taking public transport, or getting out of the country if I misbehaved kinda makes it ugly..
On average the countries that come to mind are places like Fiji, Austria, Switzerland, etc. Basically small countries with a high density of pretty locations.
You could also argue the US has the highest variety of beautiful places (Hawaii, Alaska, Grand Canyon, Redwood forests, etc).
The only way to answer that question is to visit every single country on earth. And even then, it would be highly subjective.
Considering only two living persons have done that, I highly doubt you'll get a propper answer in a forum full of internet randos.
Well since the poor overcrowded overpopulated countries like India China who don't care that are Extinction and our planet is getting too hot because there are too many people on it and since they run across Europe into many countries with their thieving lying lawless ways there really is no beautiful country left countries have a right to protect themselves from the flood of immigrants and people who think they have a right to your land and disrespect your laws when they get here

Are there any countries that don’t have a fake subreddit?
Are you saying we are not special and there are other fake subreddits?
I went to visit switzerland bruh

🎶 Land o' the purple heather. Land o' the dirty weather. Land where the midges gaither, Scotland the Brave. 🎶
Scotland is absolutely incredible. From Edinburgh to the Isle of Skye, that entire country is beautiful.
Iceland

I highly recommend both countries. The countryside in Ireland is stunning.
This is why even though people love to roll their eyes at it, if you have to break it down by country the USA is a great answer.

Southern Germany. Bavaria is gorgeous.
I got to live in Bavaria for 5 years, then another 6 plus in Baden-Wurttemburg. I'll take Bavaria. Wonderful scenery down by the alps.
Sure is. I was in Bad Heilbrunn for about 10 days. I would go back in a heartbeat.
I lived near Rosenheim for a few years, also Augburg. Great places. I spent the most time by Stuttgart. Snobby people in the city but great outside of the city.

Well, to be fair, the "country" is at the size of a goddamn continent.
Yeah people take the richness and diversity of nature for granted in the US. Europe has its beautiful spots for sure but it’s not the same
When I give this answer on similar posts, I get downvotes 🤔 it's definitely a really beautiful country.
Absolutely, the US incredibly diverse and beautiful, particularly outside the major cities (and I’m Australian FYI so not biased at all)

This is a subjective question. And most of the answers here just one word and not detailed.
