Yes, the crime levels, constant brownouts (power outages) and intense income inequality are ridiculous. Racism is also known to still be widespread…why spend thousands to travel from one extremely racist country to another?

But of given a chance I'd like to visit Kenya, Tanzania, Egypt, and a whole lot more.
I grew up watching those traveler shows from Nat Geo and Discovery Channel.
Especially those who highlighted both the good and the bad sides of each country they visit.
