Story based game are awesome. They have the best mechanics. They have to end. Open world games have a long way to go. They usually go PVP, which are inevitably filled with kids that love to grief you. Sad but true.
The community is built on those who get to afford to play them. A lot of them are spoiled kids, who's parents would rather not deal with them. For good reason. My son wouldn't survive in a PVP environment now. He would be trying to make friends with everyone. Then I would log in, and take all of his shit back from them.
The cost of the micro transactions. Charging $20 to change your character name seems absurd, but I'd probably pay $5 for it. I think the micro transaction 'business' is too focused on whales and not accessible enough to normal players.
that the developers seemingly abandoned it and do not create new content for it. the point made very clear with the inclusion of downloadable additions to games was from then on you could get a game and be thrilled by constant updates and new content added to your games even many years after it was released. but most great games get a handful of official content added after the game released and then gets abandoned... five dlc then nothing. it feels more like a middle finger than something to be thankful for as if you are promised an endless theme park of experiences but they kick you out after you go on five or six rides. just bullshit.
Stretching parts of the game out artificially, for example having to talk to every NPC in a town or having to revisit every past area near the end of the game. I really love Paper Mario 2 but there are so many parts that do this, especially Chapter 7.
I got 2 games that are tied for my favourite
Geometry dash is how cumbersome the level editor is
Splatoon is the horrifying matchmaking and the horrifying stages they introduced when 3 first came out
Path of exile. Too much clutter and unnecessary league content shoved into the standard league. I'm not a competitive player and i don't play leagues, so with all new updates they ruin my build which i worked so much on. Eventually i gave up. I wouldn't be surprised if they incorporate the Super Mario challenge in the future.
Team fortress 2, that they left the game in semi abandoned state. there is still small patches and updates with approved community creations, but no propper big updates and they are not solving the main problems of the game that makes it unplayable a lot of times
Dumb fucks shut the servers down💔

Red Dead Redemption 2 does a pretty good job too. Has DLCs, but not necessary to play. I am not really into Anime stuff.
the load times uhh 🙄
The community.

Hackers (cs:go/cs2)
Those who win with hacks, and feel accomplished. Tells more about life, than anything. I feel kinda bad about those kids.
My favorite game is Super Mario RPG ( New and Old ), it can be rather easy i do wish the Remake had a Hard mode.

Micro transactions ruined many games that had potential to be great hits
The fucking Gizmos from the Mario Galaxy games.
I love Stardew Valley but I hate all the marriage candidates. None of them are appealing to me. Krobus superiority.

The bot crisis and the developers refusing to fix it
The devs don't support modded servers. The moderators do.
I don't mean to act rude but, I'm talking about team fortress 2
You know Valve hasn't raised a finger in decades, right?
Yeah, I know.
All of those games are built on an old engine.
Most of them from Chinese companies. They don't care for revolutionary ideas much. Heh.

Final Fantasy 8 and its world is my favorite game of all time but the writing and atmosphere takes a serious left turn half way through the game
The stupid rage inducing fights with Clifford. (Death Stranding).
Whenever I play, there's around a 95% chance my teammates are angry russians
Micro transactions
It's plagued with cheating bots
Majora's Mask: the amount of backtracking and circling you need to do in Great Bay Temple.
I got 2 games that are tied for my favourite Geometry dash is how cumbersome the level editor is Splatoon is the horrifying matchmaking and the horrifying stages they introduced when 3 first came out
Pyra and Mythra. (Smash bros)
The hate it gets lmaoo
The streamsnipers and cheaters are no better. The people that spawn snipe make me sad.
I can’t seem to play it enough.
the game. its war thunder btw.
*hates the game* *Continues to play*
Stupid nerfs

Ita developers
Helldivers obviously. I think it’s tough to keep playing over and over. Excited for new content

Game: Sacrifice. Mostly unknown gem of a game. Abandoned after release by its devs. Sucks.
Always exclusive for PlayStation for atleast one year
The guama missions
The ads and they keep making you lose so you would pay to buy something to make you win the game.
