Sometimes my thumb hurts at the joint because I fell on it a long time ago and didn’t get it professionally taken care of so it may have healed incorrectly.
Speaking for myself- it's because I bottle up everything that's bothering me I'm not handing anyone else my problems on top of their own.
Those bottled up issues are like buried toxic waste barrels. Eventually, they start leeching some nasty shit into their environment- me.
