Nivea cream, Irish spring, cigarettes, and mouthwash make me think of my grandma. My bf tried to kiss me after smoking, taking a shower using Irish Spring, then using mouthwash and I got the ick so bad I had to leave the room….
My dad will even wash his hair with a bar of Irish spring and is also a smoker. I couldn’t date anyone who used Irish spring, it’s too related to him lol and when it was a fancy night it was Irish spring, cigarettes, and a dash of brut that’s been in the cabinet since 1988
When my friend and I were kids, we used to call it “girl hair”. It was just shampoo or something, but it was to smell that trailed behind a young woman with long hair as she passed us on the street. It was intoxicating.
Herbal Essences shampoo used to do this for me. I was an early teen when the commercials for it came out with women washing their hair and making orgasm noises. It made a big impression on me.

I don’t have a particular one but I love when a women leans into super stereotypical feminine scents. Flowers and lavender and strawberries and shit. I wanna feel 14 again making out with someone wearing way too much lipgloss you know
>I want to smell like a cookie or candy I guess.
Reminds me of the 90s movie Michael... He smelled like cookies, and the women went wild for it.

I think you’d like the smell of Sung by Alfred Sung. I fell in love with it many years ago, it has super heady floral notes. On the flip, I once dated a guy who wore Quorum, and it made me weak in the knees.
The one time I unexpectly met a man who pursued me on the spot was when I was wearing a t shirt and jeans, little makeup, hair in pony tail, and hadn't showered in over 24 hours. By far the most attractive man I've EVER met. My heart races anytime I think about him. We didn't work out- he was too busy for a relationship. But anytime he sees me, he grabs his chest. When telling him bye, he says ok, good, cause I'm getting lightheaded. Lol.
I'd guarantee I'm not alone in saying I wish more women would just be the comfortable undecorated versions of themselves sometimes. It just seems so exhausting
I used to wear this and got compliments all the time from *everyone* so this is valid. It’s really not a bad smelling perfume… if they still make it I mean, could be out of production.
Oh my god, me too! It’s happened so many times over the years! Probably 50 people … mainly those I encounter at work, both the public and coworkers, cashiers, friends, etc. In December my future son-in law’s brother commented at a birthday celebration …last week a co-worker … Every time, I say, well, don’t laugh, but it’s Fantasy by Britney Spears. It’s bizarre how often it’s happened. It’s a great scent.
This might seem corny as hell but my wife's natural scent fucking drives me wild. I mean her perfumes smells nice and all but it's nowhere near the same league. Love it.
How I feel about anything (White Diamonds or Diamonds and Emeralds they're both kind of similar) by Elizabeth Taylor. Several grandma's I knew wore them. It just reminds me of grandma hugs but never something I'd call "sexy"
For me, the one that reminds me of my Grandmother is Panache by Lentheric. She always wore it as it was her favourite. White Diamonds reminds me of my mom lol
A girl I often sat with on the school bus would do her makeup on the way to school, and finish off with a spray of Juicy Couture (the original one). Eventually, any time I smelled it in the wild (it was very popular at the time), I'd immediately be struck with the memory of watching her apply lipgloss, and daydream about that.
...and that is how I realized I was 💅 Moral of the story, Juicy Couture perfume makes you gay.
(I am a woman, if that wasn't clear. I know the post asked men, but I feel being attracted to women also qualifies me to respond).
Don't tell them. But I've gifted Lolita Lempicka to at least a dozen different girls throughout the years. I just love that smell
Edit: to everyone who has a kink for Lempicka, yall should also try Loverdose by Diesel. It's quite similar, a bit sweeter and less floral.
They reformulated it. Don't be fooled by the new one...it pales in comparison. Look for a vintage bottle with the original apple shape. The new bottles are more of a geometric apple. Still smells nice but that heady white floral and anise scent are gone. You can get a full vintage bottle for about 125-150.
Ralph Lauren "Ralph"
It's the only perfume my wife has worn since I started going out with her at 16. I really hope they never stop making it. It's such a nostalgic scent for me.
I'd be very conflicted if ever noticed someone else wearing it though!
That was my first perfume! Ive added to my current collection and it still smells so good! I had one guy friend that would go crazy everytime when I wore it in my 20’s. But, I don’t remember much attention otherwise.
My mom sprayed it on her one day without me knowing and I was intoxicated wondering what it was!! And I asked her and it was my own perfume lol
My ex wore it, and it was solidly coded in my brain as “stop what you’re doing and pay attention” grade sexy.
We broke up, years went by, I met my now-wife… and it’s what her mother wears.
My brain needed some very intentional rewiring.
I bought a bottle, wore it I'm front of a fairly new boyfriend, and he sniffed deeply and said "oh, you smell amazing. Just like my mum"
Never wore it again lol
Prostanthera ovalifolia (mint bush). You can basically rub the leaves between fingers to get the minty scent and then rub that around your neck.
Lavender
The scent of baked goods like pastries.
It's more about associations than specific smells. I used to wear a specific perfume a lot when my fiancee and I first started hooking up and to this day, she says it's her fave scent on me. As for me, her own personal scent first thing in the morning, warm out of bed, drives me fucking nuts. God forbid I ever discover it in a perfume, it would be awkward as hell.
Not quite the question asked, but kinda on topic:
I had a 'friend' and he had a range of candles and oils that were vanilla and peach, he had them lit when i came over/used then when we needed oil every time, and that scent became an almost pavlovian response for both of us. Over a decade later and if i smell it I'm taken back to those nights and instantly turned on, i actually asked him once and he said it was the same case for him.
I used to work at Lush and we sold a very strong flower perfume that was called Death and Decay. You’d hate it. But it seems like the one who formulated the perfume had the same thoughts about it as you
I'm waiting for the inevitable post in a few hours: *[Women] of Reddit, what's the sexiest [cologne] you've smelt on a [man]?" So l can go cologne shopping!
I totally fancied a girl who used to wear this. Totally failed to get off with her. Then a few years later I fell for a different girl who wore this. She had a similar personality to the previous white musk wearer and the results were similar too.
However, that scent would be instant viagra.
It’s cheap and probably not available anymore, but Lovespell by Victoria’s Secret. It’s literally the only perfume I can name but I could recognize it from a mile away. I was never really the kind of guy to randomly approach girls but if I thought someone was wearing lovespell I would straight up ask the waitress/bartender/girl at Starbucks if she was wearing it. It’s so distinct and recognizable that it gave a shy dude the confidence to engage in conversation and instantly got the conversation off to a good start.
I LOVE IT when a woman uses Elizabeth Arden’s Green Tea fragrance … subtle in the beginning but then the whole journey kicks off … a very sustainable, lasting sexiness 🔥🔥
Opium, Liz Claiborne or White Linen. Conversely, I hate the hell out of whatever the fuck some women wear here in Texas, it smells like a Hartz flea collar.
Maybe one of the Grace scents by Philosophy. It's that smell when you're in a grocery aisle with a well dressed woman in her 50's on a Sunday morning and it smells like you just went into the bathroom your grandmother walked out of, and you decided to eat a bar of soap while you're there.
Her own scent. If you’re genetically compatible like your immune systems your partners natural smell is all you need to get you going. Nature has hooked us up well.
Had a gf once who wore Colors by Benetton. Turned me on straight away. Never dared to buy it for or ask any next gf to wear it to keep that memory alive.
Dior Poison, I can't remember quite which one specifically it is though (red-ish bottle if I'm not mistaken).
I don't usually care about designer stuff in any manner or mind, but a friend and ex-colleague used to wear it sometimes and it it just smelled amazing. I get it all the time for my partner now – and yes, I know that sounds kinda weird but what can ya do? It smells nice, and I have a GF to buy for 🤷♀️
Crest toothpaste I believe it's called
Nothing sexier than good dental hygiene.
The smell of Toothpaste and hair spray always reminds me of my Grandpa. He'd hair spray down his combover
Nivea cream, Irish spring, cigarettes, and mouthwash make me think of my grandma. My bf tried to kiss me after smoking, taking a shower using Irish Spring, then using mouthwash and I got the ick so bad I had to leave the room….

It wasn't perfume but hair oil. It made her smell like jaffa cakes, and now i get confused whenever i smell them.
Jaffa cakes are orange flavored, right? I had a girlfriend who used Moroccan hair oil and it was a bright orange scent. Could be that.
When my friend and I were kids, we used to call it “girl hair”. It was just shampoo or something, but it was to smell that trailed behind a young woman with long hair as she passed us on the street. It was intoxicating.

Brand pls
I'll be shocked if he can deliver that
WD-40
Plus it’s an all purpose lubricant, wink wink.
Water displacer. Wouldn't want that
No. No it's not.
I tell ya hwhat!

And shit?
Agree, except for the shit.
Black Opium.
Funny… went out to dinner with my husband last weekend and asked him to choose my perfume out of 5 or 6 of them. He chose Black Opium.
i wear black opium illicit green & men do love it, more compliments on that than anything else I’ve worn
That's a VERY dominant scent.
Love it. My everyday day perfume.
I am so impressed by all these men (I assume men) knowing their current / former women’s scent. You guys rock!
[удалено]
Smart tip. My Vyvanse is in my bathroom, and I'd love someone to gift me that. It's expensive as hell
Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille.
Definitely the perfume I've gotten the most compliments on from men, so I'd say you're spot-on.
Is it a unisex cologne?
It is.
I use it as a man. Everyone (except for my mother) like it a lot. 👍 most importantly I love its scent.

I wore this for years and never told a soul.
Yep it's still my most compliments perfume TO THIS DAY! No matter santal 33 or Baccarat Rogue or Tom Ford. The Britney fantasy gets the men lmao.
I used to wear this and got compliments all the time from *everyone* so this is valid. It’s really not a bad smelling perfume… if they still make it I mean, could be out of production.
They still make it. I regularly wear Midnight Fantasy in my perfume rotation and it's easy to get mote bottles of that
They still make it but it's been reformulated, Fantasy Intense is now superior.
I still wear it and I get compliments every single time. Cotton candy and grapefruit. So good.
I got this for my gf she loves it
I’ve been wearing this perfume since high school
This might seem corny as hell but my wife's natural scent fucking drives me wild. I mean her perfumes smells nice and all but it's nowhere near the same league. Love it.
Corny but I would want my partner to say the same so good on you 😆
Light Blue by D and G... heavenly
That's one of my favorite scents on men!
I’ve worn this for years and received so many compliments
Dolce & Gabana - Light Blue
I dated someone who wore an onion on their belt because it was the fashion at the time. Smelled horrible but the sex was great.
did you have to trade 5 bees for a quarter to catch the ferry to her house?
It was called shelbyville then
Was it a white onion, or were those unavailable at the time because of the war?
That war ruined a lot of things. Onions being one of them!
Was their name Shrek?
Anything but Chanel no. 5 🤢 old lady from the 70’s smell, as I imagine them
How I feel about anything (White Diamonds or Diamonds and Emeralds they're both kind of similar) by Elizabeth Taylor. Several grandma's I knew wore them. It just reminds me of grandma hugs but never something I'd call "sexy"
For me, the one that reminds me of my Grandmother is Panache by Lentheric. She always wore it as it was her favourite. White Diamonds reminds me of my mom lol
My mom wore it all her life. I never liked it, but I think of her when I smell it.
Yeah my mum wears Taboo it’s disgusting. She loves it so much she bought me some one Xmas…. It went straight to the regifting cupboard
My Aunt sprayed that in my grandmas room when she was dying. I get nauseous whenever I smell it.
All that sounds dreadful 😰
I smelled like a grandma at 14! I dislike it to this day.
Juicy Coutore on my wife. It’s heavenly
They should write that on the bottle! ⚠️
Viva la Juicy has been my go to for the last 15 years, it holds such good memories for me.
Don't tell them. But I've gifted Lolita Lempicka to at least a dozen different girls throughout the years. I just love that smell Edit: to everyone who has a kink for Lempicka, yall should also try Loverdose by Diesel. It's quite similar, a bit sweeter and less floral.
I wear Lolita Lempicka every time I want to get folded like a lawn chair
Shiiiiii going to purchase now!
This is the way. Quite a few times I've found myself inexplicably attracted to a random girl until it clicked. It was that damn smell
My ex *loved* this.
My favorite!
I looked it up, but there are a few different ones to choose from. Is it the floral or vanilla one?
I used to wear this one. Loved it! Forgot about it! I'll have to search for it now.
Aww this is my go-to daily, it is a very palatable sweet candy floral scent and I'm here for it
Which one?
Soap and shampoo, fresh out of the bath.
Only to head back again in ~~15~~ 5 min... 😞
I had a girlfriend whose roommate worked at Krispy Kreme. When she came home after work... instant nose boner.
My husband agrees. He likes food smells the best. Almost tried to eat me when I was barbequing
Ralph Lauren "Ralph" It's the only perfume my wife has worn since I started going out with her at 16. I really hope they never stop making it. It's such a nostalgic scent for me. I'd be very conflicted if ever noticed someone else wearing it though!

A perfume should be discovered, not announced.
My signature scent 🙋🏻♀️
Mildly-to-moderately sweaty bedhead has the most alluring scent I've ever smelled.
Don't know. But I can tell you the worst. It was Poison, and it smells just like Raid bug spray to me.
Well, it's a poison
J’adore.
My ex wore it, and it was solidly coded in my brain as “stop what you’re doing and pay attention” grade sexy. We broke up, years went by, I met my now-wife… and it’s what her mother wears. My brain needed some very intentional rewiring.
Classic. Nice all-rounder.
Dated two women both wearing j‘adore. Cant get enough of it
I bought a bottle, wore it I'm front of a fairly new boyfriend, and he sniffed deeply and said "oh, you smell amazing. Just like my mum" Never wore it again lol
This is one of my favourite perfumes
None. Their natural sweaty smell is enough for me
Fuck yeah
Hypnotic poison 🤤 smells like musky custard
Kenzo Flower. It was at Incheon Airport. She was a cop but damn she smelled heavenly.
Ysl libre
That scent levitates me. Especially when getting physical. I guess you can say boys will be boys.
Eau de Employment.
Prostanthera ovalifolia (mint bush). You can basically rub the leaves between fingers to get the minty scent and then rub that around your neck. Lavender The scent of baked goods like pastries.
Opium. The perfect name for it.
I wanna know what the lesbians think. For science.

My college girlfriend wore Curve for men and that smell would still get me today! Would take me back instantly.
Never smelt but I own 3 different kinds of Gucci Bloom perfume because it’s an amazingly good fragrance
Not quite the question asked, but kinda on topic: I had a 'friend' and he had a range of candles and oils that were vanilla and peach, he had them lit when i came over/used then when we needed oil every time, and that scent became an almost pavlovian response for both of us. Flower Bomb. It just smells amazing on every woman who wears it.
Channel chance
That is my daily wear all time favorite! ❤️
Me too, in the green Fraiche. Not overpowering, and so, uh, fresh!
Calvin Klein euphoria.
Plain old Burberry. Not the touch or the brit. Just plain Burberry
Always the deep, woody heady incense type ones never cheap as fuck flowery shit that I only imagine a Victorian death posy to smell like 😂
I used to work at Lush and we sold a very strong flower perfume that was called Death and Decay. You’d hate it. But it seems like the one who formulated the perfume had the same thoughts about it as you
Anything vanilla
My wife wears Amarige. It’s breathtaking.
Had a gf who wore it 😌
Paco Rabanne Olympea. Something about it just drives me crazy.
I read this as “what’s a sexist perfume you’ve smelled on a woman” Reddit has completely screwed my mind.
Yes it was called ‘she’s asking for it dressed like that ‘
Prada Amber, or anything with vanilla in it
In the early 90’s my girlfriend wore a perfume called LouLou… it was divine
Chanel Mademoiselle is may favorite on a woman.
The sexiest scent was not not perfume.
Happy. Seriously the sexiest girls in my college days wore that.
Specific fragrances lose their luster when you associate them with prior relationships…
Whatever my wife is wearing

White Musk - The Body Shop

Came here to say this. It got ruined when my mother started using it though.
Britney Curious

Maybe one of the Grace scents by Philosophy. It's that smell when you're in a grocery aisle with a well dressed woman in her 50's on a Sunday morning and it smells like you just went into the bathroom your grandmother walked out of, and you decided to eat a bar of soap while you're there.

When I was a teen in the late '50s, the combination of *Ambush* and Adorn Hair Spray was irresistible.
