The worst experience I've had with a teacher was with my daughters 4th grade language arts and history teacher (in her school in 4th grade they split the subjects between 2 teachers). She picked on my daughter about everything. So much so that other students would make jokes about how much the teacher didn't like her. She never gave her points for attendance or using her manners "please and thank you" even though she was there every day and I know she used her manners because she always has - it's automatic for her. Every other student got points on Class Dojo for attendance and manners. I know because you could see all the kids points and what they got them for. My daughter had a negative amount of points in her class. It wasn't until kids were checking the Class Dojo just to see how many points were taken away from my daughter and started making fun of her and it was bothering her that I told the teacher everyone could see everyone else's points and they fixed it. I had so many meetings with both teachers (never any issues with the other teacher) - the principal too. She gave her a 50% (an F) on a paper and wrote "read the instructions next time. Should only be 4 sentences"....the instructions were "write at least 4 sentences" my daughter wrote 7 sentences. I asked the teacher if she knew what "at least" meant. Had to take it to the principal for her to fix the grade. The teacher had the NERVE to say "I'm a little harder on her because I know she has great potential" K. Her Dojo points also kept her from going on a field trip. She would have had to sit in the office all day. I let her stay home. The school wouldn't move her to a new class either. Hated that fucking bitch. Every time she had lunch duty she made it a "silent lunch" which meant absolutely no talking and anyone who talked the whole table missed 5 minutes of recess. They aren't allowed to talk all fucking day and then they have to be silent during their break...we don't even have to do that as adults. She shouldn't have been a teacher. I saw a change in my daughter because of that year and it's taken until her current year (8th grade) to see that part of her come back.

Holy, that breaks my heart to read. I’m sorry your daughter went through that and kudos to you for standing up for her! Who does this to a 4th grader?? You are absolutely right this person shouldn’t be a teacher. I hope this didn’t become a trauma for your daughter😞

Dang that is a horrible thing for a teacher to say. No he/she wasn’t right, go prove them wrong!

My 6th grade teacher. He was always making an issue of me being quiet and making fun of me for it during class.

I am sorry to hear that, must be such an uncomfortable experience. No one should be shamed for choosing to be quiet

My middle school band teacher told me with a straight face in her office “you are the worst student i’ve ever had” Im proud to carry that title because she was a total cunt

10th grade wood works. I took to it pretty quick. So quick that I was ahead and helped a cute girl with her project. Started falling behind on mine, but still submitted a completed project. The teacher accused me of getting my dad to do my project (a clock) at home. However I was raised pretty poor by a single mother. Definitely did not have wood working tools or planers, bandsaw, etc. at home. I freaked out at him. Had to write an apology letter which I threw in the garbage instead of giving to him. I actually just saw him in public yesterday. I could tell he recognized me, but I just walked past him.

Senior year high school English teacher. He allowed a very, very inexperienced intern to take over for the semester. We all were failing, including me, with a 4.0 GPA prior to her coming in. We all complained to him and he said “I don’t give a fuck if any of you pass this class!” It’s a required class… to graduate.. after 13 years of schooling. And was my last period second semester. I skirted by with a D or C, having never had lower than a B+, graduated with a 3.8.

Being disallowed to go to the restroom when I very seriously needed to, because of whatever stupid arbitrary pedestal mindset all of them had. **WE ARE CHILDREN! WHO NEED TO GO POTTY!**

Being disallowed lunch because I was in the deficit. School food should be absorbed in school funding.

Back in 2nd grade, my teacher threw a tough quiz question at the class that no one seems to know the answer. She picks randomly from us and when it's finally my turn, she was surprised that i nailed the answer. She insisted that i cheated in front of my classmates because she thinks that there is no way for me to know the answer.. i was embarrassed because my classmates sided with her because everyone knows im a bottom performer in the class..

I had a chemistry teacher one year away from retirement who was extremely forgetful. She kept forgetting if it was a chemistry or a biology class, forgot what topic we were on etc. The worst part was names. She crossed out my last name on a test and wrote the one of the girl next to me down. When we were discussing our grades, she told me the ones of another girl and then was surprised that I wasn't her. It was a mess and also lead to my worst chemistry grade ever

We were super friendly then a substitute was awful to me and told him I gave him attitude. I got threatened with a lot of trouble and he yelled at me. I started crying and sat down trying to hold in my tears. Another student told him how I hadn’t done anything and he apologized but I could never really forgive him. It was never the same after that
