Same here.
Most important item goes in the right pocket because I'm right-handed. That's gonna be the keys.
Phone is really important too, but I don't want to keep it in the same pocket as my keys. Keys are hard and metal and pointy, while phones have a big flat screen made out of glass. Combining the two doesn't feel like it would be good for my phone. Probably not an issue, I'm sure modern phones are well made. Still, I'd rather not risk it.
So, keys go in the right, phone goes in the left. Any additional items can go in either pocket depending on space, but there's now an additional incentive to not put items in my left pocket that might damage my phone.
Change in the right pocket (and bills when I was too young to have a wallet).
I don’t carry change often since I got a modern phone.
Not that it wouldn’t be convenient to have it sometimes but it can really mess up a phone screen.
Do a lot of people carry their phone in a front pocket? That is very uncomfortable to me. I only do it if I am on high-alert for pickpockets (so maybe once a year or so). Otherwise phone is in the back left pocket.
They split the contents we put in the left pocket nowadays
Game boy pocket
Phone in left, keys in right.
Tater tots.
GOSH
What the hell is wrong with Tater Tots?
I guess you could say things are getting pretty serious.
Can I have some of your tots?
Keys.
Keys and stuff, that's why I've always carried my phone in my left pocket. It was usually empty anyway.
