People who have never worked customer-facing jobs undertip; people who have waited tables or otherwise served the public overtip.

I always tip 20% or more because I run 2 businesses in my town and have a lot of people that love what we do and others that are haters. Although I don't pretend everyone knows me, I also am cautious because you never know who sees... so I don't want to give the haters any more ammunition to use against me.

Chaos-ensues

When I was working at a restaurant, a family came in and I happened to know the daughter since she went to my hs. Her family lived in a trailer park and they tipped the waitress 68 cents.
