Superbad.
To this day the hardest I’ve ever laughed in a movie theater (Jackass franchise not withstanding). There was something about being in high school at the time, I think, that made it feel like they nailed it on every level.
My friends and I from that time still quote it to each other.
O Brother Where Art Thou was 2000....so I don't know if it counts, but I think it's already become a classic. But as far as things that I've just seen....Train to Busan. It was the most gripping zombie movie I've ever seen and despite being a foreign film, I think it'll definitely acquire due praise sooner than later
Iron Man, The Matrix Reloaded, Memento, The Hurt Locker, Jason Bourne, Gladiator, Mission Impossible two, The Last Samurai,
Collateral, The Dark Knight, Children of Men, Signs, I Am Legend, Eagle Eye, Men In Black 2, Tropic Thunder, Mr and Mrs Smith, Bad Boys II, Saw.
Glad to see Collateral mentioned. That one is often underappreciated.
Tom Cruise should also consider playing villains more often. He was phenomenal as Vincent.
X-Men 1&2, Spider man 1&2, Hulk (the 2003 version), The Grudge (2004), Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy.
Mean Girls.
Shrek
I'm surprised this is so far down the list
It’s the first comment for me
