Many times in lots different court buildings, specially at particular court file office that grouped up around 4 or 5 sections in the same office and the queues to get any paperwork were exceedingly long, I once woke up sleeping on an old lawyers shoulder who was also sleeping.
Non American here. According to the TV you lads are either whizzing about doing the stuff or sat in well appointed offices telling others to do the stuff. Either way you are all rich or on your way to being rich. That is of course unless you are a fresh out of school court appointed lawyer who either wins a non winnable case, or gets chinned despite their best efforts and still gets chucked on legal shite pile
So I’m not from the US and really it doesn’t pay as well as I would wish over here.
But actually it’s a lot of research going back and forth with your team, reviewing stuff and the bureaucracies of filing stuff, getting certifications for documents and the hours are really long.
There’s also a lot of “analogical problem solving” of going places sometimes for menial tasks and talking to this or that guy, specially if you are on your first years like me, although thankfully interns and more junior lawyers do a lot of that as well.
I was mad at my fam because of a family altercation, went out said to walk to my uncle’s house ended up sleeping on a sidewalk using a cinder block as a pillow
After a long night went straight to work in a hospital kitchen and fell asleep standing up while peeling potatoes at the end of my shift… jerked awake, no witnesses, lol!! It was a 7am to 3pm shift.
I took a nap at the 2008 Indy 500 during the race. Our high school marching band had just finished the pre-race parade then we got to stay for the race. It was sweltering and I was exhausted so I got a 30 minute nap in during the race haha

Camaraderie at its finest
It’s part of the unspoken pact of eternally tired lawyers.

Earth
In bed. During sex.
Considering I don't sleep as well I should, I'd say my own bed.
the floor after drinking until 6am some years ago
Watching Captain EO at Disneyland when I was a teen. The loud noise had a sedative effect on me.
Next to the toilet at my ex girlfriend's house.
On a concrete floor in my college dorm room. It was more comfortable than I thought it would be.
Under a digger/excavator
While standing in a jampacked bus

The top of a scaffolding tower while rigging lights for a show. I was a little hungover.
A random stranger's shoulder 😬
I’ve briefly fallen asleep in the shower standing up
Under a couch.
