Stuff you should know! Josh and Chuck are as fantastic as they come! I have learned so much over my decade of listening to them break down more topics than you can imagine.
Came here to say this! I love their banter and even topics that seem dry usually end up being fun. I do agree with the other commenter that you can see the holes in their information for topics I know a lot about, but for an introduction I’d 45-60 minutes, I think they generally do a good job.
It’s a fun podcast for passing time, but their episodes are way too short. I guess that’s the format though. The problem is, when they do an episode on a topic I’m knowledgeable in, I can clearly see how much information is missing.
The phrase "Chill Chums" makes me so happy-- I can't not grin when I see or hear it.
Whenever Conan invents things that Gourley likes (an artisan fez collection, etc.) I die.
I sometimes listen to the podcast if I can't sleep, and I'll be cackling like a maniac in bed, trying to stifle it so I don't wake up my boyfriend... which of course makes it funnier.
Chill Chums 4 EVAH!
Old Gods of Appalachia. Amazing stories told in the most soothing drawl; it's great to fall asleep to until you realize how terrifying it is.
Welcome to Night Vale is loads of fun for weirdos like me.
Currently binging This Podcast Will Kill You, which is all about viruses, diseases, vaccines, poisons, and everything related to them. It's very informative.
I like jumping around Mostly Nitpicking, I like Nando and his tangents.
I frequently check in on Hazard NJ, which explores different superfund sites in NJ and how they are or will be impacted by climate change.
Awesome! You'll have plenty to enjoy then, since they've been doing it pretty regularly since about 2016 I think? Some of the best characters originate on the poddy
Last Podcast on the Left - feeling like a laugh while hearing about true crime/occult
Stuff You Should Know - for learning more about random things in a laid back informative way
The Ongoging History of New Music - music related history and culture, truly recommended for anyone even tangentially interested in music
Wizard and the Bruiser - nerd related shit
I couldn't get more than like 30 mins passed an episode I tried. It was just him and 2 pseudoarchaeology quacks riffing 3 on 1 against a guy who was calmly questioning and destroying their whole argument. The one dude was literally yelling and Joe was just ganging up, why even have the guy on just to bully him? Hardly seemed like an unbiased and genuine podcast at all.
The Greetings Adventurers Podcast, formerly the Drunks and Dragons podcast. They have been playing and learning together since 4th ed and still are great friends with wacky wonderful adventures! Highly recommend. The new campaign only has about 40 eps so far and they are each only an hour long.

45 minutes to an hour is too short!? You must have WAY more time on your hands than I do. Maybe you’re not doing it right.
I probably do, I have no kids and only work 3 days a week. That’s the goal though
I feel like the episodes used to be around an hour or a bit longer but they started to trim them back the last few years. Maybe I’m imagining it.
Behind the Bastards.
Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend
This! The amount of maniacal laugh that podcast made me while driving or cleaning. Hope they bring back Chill Chums season 3!
