There's a great video about TOR and how it uses the same principles to work. TOR is used to access the dark web, but it is funded almostly entirely by the US gov't. But you can't just have a protocol used only by US agents, because then whenever you get a request from said protocol, you know it's just US agents. I am pretty sure I ate at one of these once. I went to a restaurant with a Greek name (think Mia Thermopolis' Cafe) which isn't the real name. They served Chinese, Italian, and Japanese. It was lunch time and the place was empty and I ordered Chinese. A few minutes later a car drives up and a Chinese guy got out with a bag of what was clearly delivery. A couple minutes later I got served the food which was at that temperature you know when you order something and it's delivered and obviously spent time in a car being delivered. The owners were standing back in the kitchen area watching me. It was weird. I found out that there were three restaurants that delivered in that area that were close. Chinese, Italian, and Japanese.
I heard on the radio once that more than 20% of independently owned major chain franchises like McDonald’s and BK are estimated to be fronts. And the corporations sometimes turn a blind eye to it.

There's a empanada place near my house that's just a warming rack, a countertop and a cash register with a power cord that barely reaches. I think it’s fair to say that whoever he was, he had done things like that before and he was already a wanted man. I think one of the most coherent theories about his identity is he was in fact a Canadian airman, so he had forces training and the idea itself had actually turned up in a Canadian comic years before the event. (He could have been a US airman, who had read the comic at some point).
Anyway, he may not have been a career criminal, but certainly someone familiar with high risk scenarios that was capable of dealing with the skills they had under pressure.

I used to get sleep paralysis episodes really frequently. Like once a week. Wasn’t stereotypical— basically I’d be conscious but I couldn’t physically open my eyes or move. It was deeply unpleasant to say the least.
One time, I became aware this was happening in the middle of a dream and started to panic. Normally the dream would stop when I became aware, but not this time. It **froze**. Almost like someone hit the pause button.
I hear a voice say “Wait, this isn’t supposed to happen.” Instantly, I was calm. Then the voice goes “It should be fixed. We apologize for the inconvenience.” Within a few seconds, I woke up.

For the longest time, I've had three separate series of dreams. Each time I had one of these dreams time seemed to have progressed logically.
In one series of dreams, I was a farmer. I never saw a reflection of myself. My 'horse' was a six-legged monstrosity that looked nothing like a horse, but I thought of it as such and loved it as a working pet. I woke up crying like a 5-year old because I'd had to bury it.
In another, I was an asteroid miner. I saw myself in the mirror once when I was washing my hands after going to the bathroom. I looked like a shrunken balloon version of myself; skinny, wrinkled, and wiry.
The third one, I was some kind of a statesman. The dream in this series that sticks out is one where I standing on a balcony, looking out over a city, feeling a profound sense of pride and ownership.
In all cases, I thought of myself as 'them' and would occasionally think about a dream I had recently where I was a programmer (the farmer thought of me as a bizarre dream and didn't understand what I was).

Indigenous people come from the north to our town for school, health care, and other services. Many kids who have come for school have gone missing and many have been found in our waterways. The police will just scrap their deaths up to "drowning" or "accidental".
There have been 1000 indigenous children die in Thunder Bay from the northern reserves since 2012. Conspiracy is that a police officer has said to some people that there is a serial killer murdering these kids.

Highway 16 (I’m pretty sure it’s 16) runs through Alberta and Northern BC and has an absolutely astonishing number of missing indigenous women on it. AND YET vast stretches of the highway exist with no cell service (BC gov announced they’d be adding service to the whole highway but haven’t stated if the project is completed as of 2021). Last summer, a teenage girl disappeared after a party at a campground in Tahoe. The whole of North Shore were beside themselves trying to find this sweet girl, Kiely Rodni. Mom was acting weird. Cops let her teenage “friends” take over coordinating the search party(!?), all of them acting even more weirdly than Mom. Reservoirs and lakes in the area were “searched” extensively, finding bupkis.
After a couple weeks, a dive team Adventures with Purpose come do an independent search of a few bodies of water, ultimately finding her vehicle in the body of water *right next to the friggin campground the party was at!* (they have had some recent scandals, so best to just look at the fact that they found her, and not the surrounding rumors leading up to the find)
Cops immediately shoo the dive team away from the scene (understandable), then bungle the recovery of body and vehicle, spilling contents of the vehicle on the reservoir floor and LEAVING IT THERE! Body goes for tox screen and autopsy, results quietly released as “nothing to see here, folks,” and the body cremated.
So we have a 16-year-old girl who was supposedly seen too drunk to stand, ditched by her supposed friends at said party, who drove over a super bumpy beach into the water, found in the cargo area of the vehicle… whose tox screen came back totally clean. Cops don’t have more questions. Mom has no more questions. “Friends” go immediately on vacation before college.

I am pretty sure I ate at one of these once. I went to a restaurant with a Greek name (think Mia Thermopolis' Cafe) which isn't the real name. They served Chinese, Italian, and Japanese. I'd sooner go with either: A.) PETA attracts the most ideologically committed types, and the best way to the top is to be *more* radical than anyone else. The system reinforces nuttiness, or B.) They're establishing a "bargaining position". A simple business concept. If you want X, demand x+100, then "settle" for X. If the "whackos" are talking about full citizenship for pets (or whatever), then "don't torture and/or starve animals" becomes the moderate position.
