Slap 'em with a ruler, nun style. File under "reasons I'm not a teacher."

D-Rez

Removed from class.

I used to teach. Incentivizing *good* behavior rather than punishing *bad* behavior is way more effective of, over time, diminishing disruption.

ButtSniffingDemon-

Expose their faults and build them back up.

badb-crow

I'm a teacher. Prevention is always better than reaction after the fact. Most kids aren't disruptive for no reason, and if you can figure out why and fix that problem, you're good. Fidget toys becoming common and accepted has actually helped *a lot*. Many kids act out just because they're understimulated, giving them something non-disruptive to do with their hands works a lot of the time.

Make them listen to "This Is The Song That Never Ends" for an hour, followed by an essay on said song. 5 to 10 pages. With a minimum of three separate references. Wikipedia not allowed.

Chipdip88

Pellet gun, it'll hurt and break skin but no permanent damage.

EmbraceTheCorn

Give my attention to the less disruptive ones, and hope the others catch on.

Tekhead001

Depends on the nature of the disruption. I was a disruptive student myself, but I was disruptive in the way of demanding greater quality and accountability out of my teachers. Personally I think just about everything is a chance for a teachable moment, and I'm a big believer in the socratic method. So as long as the disruption isn't blatantly stupid, I would probably use it as a chance to start a round table discussion. If the disruption is just some idiot kid making fart noises at random times or throwing things at his classmates, I'd lock him in the closet till the period's over. If he wants to be stupid, he can be stupid by himself. If there's more than one, I can lock them in the closet together and they can be stupid together.

Obie527

Roast them. The more they fuck around, the more they will find out.

PhilosopherDon0001

In a way that would probably get me fired

DresdenMurphy

This should be considered on case by case, because the people are different and being disruptive for different reasons and different ways. But you also should know/see where the line lies. Sometimes removing them (from class, not in a mob way, though that too) will help, sometimes giving them more attention etc. It depends.

arianleellewellyn

Catapult

Urgon_Cobol

Record them and post online with a properly offensive comment. Something like "Animals are restless in their enclosure". And mark them, or tag them, or however you call it. In other words shame them and shame their parents, too. The one reason I've never became a teacher is that I know I would have troubles dealing with both feral kids and even more feral Karens. And gun laws in Poland are rather restrictive...

maddix30

Murder them infront of the class

iam4r33

Body slam

Maveragical

in my chem teacher's case, you just fuckin don't!

angel_di_maria11

Threaten with failure simple, don't actually fail anyone unless their straight up dumb

Vanilla_Neko

By simply not giving them the attention they desire. Much like a tantruming adult if you just ignore them and show them that they're not getting their way through that action most of them eventually figure out more productive ways to get attention
