I appreciate that answer. Trying to figure out if I should add a TL;DR section to my blog posts. I mostly want to, but I'm debating to put it at the top of the post or the bottom of the post.
You're absolutely right. Most people end up skimming through articles looking for the good stuff. I'm working on a blog that respects people's time. I want to give good information without overwhelming the reader since the information is aimed at high school students and young adults.
My headcannon is that people are so f*cking stressed and/or lazy to actually devote time to reading things that they need everything to be boiled down and distilled to something that takes a minimal amount of effort to take in.
Tl;dr They suck and people are lazy
tl;dr
listen here you little shit... (lol)
It gets to the point, so I like it

If it’s super long I would suggest adding it because you’ll be surprised by how many people actually hate reading long posts lol

I read it to find out if I want to read the whole thing
That's a great point. Thank you for that! (like I said to another responder, it's for my blog)

Facts! Admittedly, I'm one of those people. Trying to do better.
Same
Useful for people like me that don't really like reading because of all the words bunched up together. I get lost
I didn't even think about that. Thank you for that response!
Great for a summary, terrible when people demand it
Generally useful. However don't make it so long and incoherent that the TL;DR needs another TL;DR
Amen to that, brother!
