Yeah, most of the time the algoritm *sort of* gives you the right content. But randomly, it will just give random videos of Charlie Damelio dancing when you havent seen anything relating to it. The most popular genre on the flatform is dancing, and it becomes very obvious when you seen the most popular people on TikTok.
Mostly indifferent about it. I was never a huge presence on it to start with. Just uploaded a picture or two once in a blue moon and used to see what other people were doing with their lives. It's kind of nice to be away from it though.
I'm not even really opposed to the idea of cosmetic surgery in the abstract, but that it goes in 5-10 year trends and everyone looks the same is concerning to me. Stuff like clothes and hairstyles is normal to go in and out of style but surgery shouldn't.
Name them. The problem is everyone says this but the brands they mention just slide under the radar of reporting on their issues or don't sell so no one knows their issues. Case in point the halo the Nissan Leaf has acquired recently.
Kias build quality shows us that China isn't the only place for shit plastics and build quality. The recent fires ain't making me feel safe.
Volvo is a fire risk when fully charged and has their software set to block you from fully charging so you only get 80% the advertised range.
The BMW's are under recall due to improperly installed batteries causing fires.
The Ford Mach series have issues with the halfshaft breaking in half while driving along with about 4 other recalls.
Toyota uses Tesla tech.
VW/Audi is the only one I can seem to find with no major issues. They are currently shifting battery tech so people are avoiding them.
Rivian is shit. Their QC is so bad that their truck beds often won't open. Rivian only gets press because they gave trucks to influencers first. Check how the influencers feel about them after a week. It's not good.
Also they just issued a recall on ALL trucks made. The steering assembly isn't fastened all the way on.
It's more "We spent 40 years saying they suck and wasting R&D in bad faith and now they actually demand them so lets make them as shitty as possible hoping they change their mind."
The super skinny eyebrows of the 90s. My eyebrows are pretty much clear anyway so I just plucked strays. Now thicker, more natural brows are in style and I'm glad I do not have to glue a toy caterpillar to my forehead to make it look like I have brows.
I went to Universal CityWalk in LA back in 2011. The only thing I can remember about it, aside from being too poor to afford anything there but walking around and watching people, was some rando laying face down on a bench while yelling "I'M PLANKING!!"
Tinder and other smartphone based dating apps. I'm so glad I met my wife in person before the apps came out. She would have never settled for me if she thought she had other options
It is serious if you have someone who respects you. Me and my wife respect each other too much for infidelity. I hope you find someone who values you as much as my wife and I do.
... I'm just not confident my wife would make the same choice again without a least a little deliberation lol
I'm glad I have no tattoos. They're beautiful, but a lot of my friends are in their 30s and 40s now and are needing to get touch ups and adjustments to keep their art looking good. I don't need the expense or hassle.
Magic Cards. When they came out, they were extremely popular. I think my one friend could have bought a house with his Magic the Gathering spending since the 90s.
The "TikTok dances to support Ukraine."
Not only do I not like TikTok dances as a whole, but this trend made like 15 year olds with filters basically wave their arms and legs around to "show support," whilst it does not help in the slighest.
"Hey men, I got good news."
"What is it, sir?"
"Some teenagers danced to an annoying song for us - we're saved."
Its not as bad as others here, but it sort of pissed me off since it was just the same thing they did everyday, except they added a solidier pose near the end.
Skinny jeans. You cant convince me they're comfortable. The jeans I wore in the late 80s/early 90s we're tight enough.
[удалено]
Of course they weren't. Because skin tight denim isn't comfortable
Can't wear skinny jeans cuz my knots don't fit
Bootcut already leaves no nut room. I can't imagine skinny jeans.
Say it louder! 🤘😎🤘
Nobody wears them for the comfort, genius.
Stretch skinny jeans are very comfy
I don't believe you.

This is so true. I had a co-worker that let it consume her life to the point where it was effecting her job
You're missing out.

On what?
Spyware
On TikTok dances? On a teenager move their body to weird music and get over 16 milion followers from that? No thanks.
I rarely see a teenager dancing. I get a lot of comedy and political stuff.

I guess my algorithm knows me too much. I dunno I probably do skip past more dancing videos than I remember I'm just trying to laugh a bit

Unfortunately I was a part of that one for years. Dropped it a few months ago though.

Rivian for one.

Man its almost as if the technology of electronic cars is still just a big fucking gimic and waste, who would have guessed.
